The Elbert Prize set up the Chemistry, Physics, Physiology or Medicine Award, Literature Award, Peace Award, and Economics Award, but it did not set up the Agricultural Award. Because of this, an Asian scientist established the International Agriculture Award. It was used to reward people who made outstanding contributions in agriculture.
