C3 Sabrina's POV - Fated Mate

"Nice to meet you, Tyler. Thank you for having me here."

I looked into his blue eyes. It was as if I was looking in the mirror when I saw my face reflected there.

There was a familiar sense that I was feeling right now. The feeling that came as soon as I met Tyler.

It felt like the whole world was quiet, not a single soul but the two of us. It was as if I could feel his breathing, hear his heartbeat, smell every inch of his body.

Seeing the look on Tyler's face, I felt like he felt the same way. It was as if there was a magical force that bound us, that made us feel happy just by being with each other.

I felt this feeling was so familiar and made me feel safe. It's as if all the anxiety and problems of my life evaporated instantly.

"Sabrina, you are my fate mate," he whispered as we both held hands.

I gasped. Fate mate? Is that true? All this time I thought the Moon Goddess' fateful bond was just a myth. But this feeling I'm feeling right now, this mate bond, is it true?

"Sabrina, do you feel what I feel?" he whispered again, as if he didn't want the others who were still around us to hear him.

I nodded slowly.

"Hey, I understand that our Alpha is so charming, but we don't have all day to just stand up here at the border, right?" Uncle Felix's heavy, gruff voice made Tyler and I startle and let go of our hands.

“Hey, be easy to our newcomer, Felix! I'm just taking time admiring your beautiful niece.” Tyler dismissed uncle Felix's words.

"Of course she's beautiful. She's the daughter of my gorgeous sister," Uncle Felix said proudly.

I turned to my father, trying to see his reaction to my encounter with Tyler earlier. I really wanted to ask him about the Fate Mate myth because I was still unsure of what I was feeling. But my father seemed didn’t notice and rush back home instead.

"Sabrina, I have a lot of things to deal with Raphael and Magnus in our pack. I can't stay here for long. Felix will take care of you while you're here. Besides, the Alpha of this pack seems to be fond of you. Be good here. I love you." After saying those parting words, my father gently kissed my forehead and left.

"It's okay, I'm here." Uncle Felix patted my shoulder.

I turned to look at Tyler. He was still standing there as if waiting to have further conversation with me.

I smiled at him, and he responded with an invitation, "Let's go, get into my car."

Without needing to be told again, I obeyed, following him to the passenger side.

As a true gentleman, he then opened the door for me and said, "After you, Milady."

The Silver Fang Pack's territory was vast, even much larger than the Black Fur Pack. From the sights I saw, it seemed that this pack relied on agriculture, plantations, and livestock to sustain life in the pack.

Very different from the Black Fur Pack, which relies more on industry and profits from the Magnus family's gold mine.

Uncle Felix's house was in the middle of the ranch. I saw some barns that made me can't wait to learn about them.

It didn't take me long to get used to living in this new pack. In just two days I was already very good at helping my uncle's wife take care of their livestock.

"After you finish feeding the cows, clean yourself up, Dear. I'll cook lunch for us. Felix said Alpha Tyler will be joining us for lunch, so you should dress up."

I nodded, my cheeks turning red when I heard Tyler's name mentioned. Not wanting my aunt to see the change in my face, I hurriedly grabbed a bunch of hay and ran to the cowshed to carry out her order.

After finishing my chores and cleaning myself up, I dressed up as my aunt had suggested.

In the kitchen, I saw my aunt who had also dolled herself up and preparing our lunch dishes. I decided to help her.

"Aunt Ruth, do you believe in the myth of Fate Mate?" I asked while tidying the table and arranging the dishes.

"Myth? It's not a myth, Dear. Our former Alpha and Luna were a couple destined to be together. Their love story was very famous and became everyone's wish," Aunt Ruth replied with a big smile.

"Unfortunately, only a few werewolves are actually lucky enough to meet their fate mates. Most of the time, we marry our lovers or people who are arranged to marry us," she continued.

"I see." I went back to the kitchen to get the food that was about to be served on the table.

"Why are you asking? Do you want to meet your fate mate?" Suddenly Aunt Ruth was standing behind me, making me almost spill the soup in the big bowl I was holding.

Before I could answer, Uncle Felix's heavy and gruff voice could be heard from the guest room which informed us that they had arrived. Aunt Ruth and I rushed to finish our work of serving the food and welcoming them.

"You look very pretty, Sabrina," Tyler complimented when he saw me.

"Thanks," I replied shyly.

We ate lunch while talking about how I was getting used to live in the pack and how delicious Aunt Ruth's cooking was.

Uncle Felix and Tyler also talked about the border conflict, which annoyed Aunt Ruth because she couldn't understand them, so they ended up talking about Garry, Uncle Felix and Aunt Ruth's son who would be returning from the academy soon.

But the conversation dragged on until Uncle Felix accidentally brought up the news about Magnus and Tania's upcoming wedding. As a member of the werewolf alliance, uncle Felix was sure Tyler would be invited as an honored guest.

I could see that Aunt Ruth warned her husband nonverbally for bringing up the topic of the marriages of those who betrayed me in front of me

Tyler finally changed the subject by praising Uncle Felix and Aunt Ruth, since their sheep were producing a lot of wools for winter supplies.

After lunch, I washed the dishes. But my mind was still wandering, thinking about Magnus and Tania's wedding. A single teardrop began to appear in the corner of my eye as I rinsed the dishes.

"Let me help." A soft voice startled me. I turned my head and saw Tyler holding a dry cloth in his hand.

"Let me dry those dishes you just finished rinsing," he continued as he picked up one of the plates I had just finished washing.

My heart was racing. Whenever I was with Tyler, I felt a bond that made me want to always be near him.

I felt very impressed with Tyler. Even though he was an Alpha, he was not reluctant to do this kind of work.

Uncle Felix's house also had no servants even though they had a lot of livestocks to take care of. It was very different from my life in the Black Fur Pack where the omegas became servants to the werewolves who had ranks above them.

While passing a wet plate, my hand accidentally came into contact with Tyler's and it made me feel a rush of sensation running through my body.

"Tyler, I should tell you, that I feel weird whenever I'm with you. Is the myth about Fate mates true?" I finally spoke up.

Tyler paused. He looked intently at me and tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Sabrina, it's not a myth. I'm your fate mate just like my mom and dad are each other's fate mates. What we feel is real," he replied.

"But Magnus and I…”

"Do you still love him? Did the news of his marriage make you sad?" Tyler asked, cutting me off.

"No, I'm... I'm sad because they betrayed me all this time and now if they get married, I'll be a laughing stock for the rest of my life."

Tyler shook his head as if to tell me that it wasn't true.

“Wait, you don't understand. Since childhood, I've been prepared to become Luna for Black Fur Pack. But, now I'm nothing," I began to sob unconciously.

"Sabrina, you are not nothing. You are the most beautiful, kind, intelligent and graceful woman I've ever met. Let's make them see who you really are. I won't let anyone see you as a joke." Tyler said reassuringly.

Then, before I could refute his words, Tyler held both of my hands and asked.

"Do you want to attend the wedding with me?"
