C30 Prediction

With his recent discovery, Hanyu Xiaotian had a rough grasp of the predicament facing the trial participants. Though they had entered the Scripture Pavilion together, it seemed they were randomly dispersed throughout by the Pavilion itself. Their task was straightforward: to continuously channel their internal Qi and attune to the Star of Martial Arts that resonated with them.

The elder who oversaw the Scripture Pavilion had mentioned that these Stars of Martial Arts would select their masters based on the individual's Qi. Generally, the more elementary the martial arts, the easier the fusion with a practitioner. Conversely, the more advanced the Star of Martial Arts, the more discerning it became, not easily bonding with just anyone.

Determined to test his theory, Hanyu Xiaotian made a beeline for the nearest yellow star. As anticipated, it flickered as he approached, as if detecting his presence, and swiftly darted away, vanishing after a few more flashes...

Just as he thought! Hanyu Xiaotian wasn't disheartened; he had figured out the Pavilion's rules. His next step was to find the key that would unlock the cosmos within his mind.

He sensed that this place would mark the most critical turning point in his life, the beginning of his true quest for the Dao.

Before long, the other entrants began to unravel the Pavilion's enigmas.

"Hmph, I am the family's true prodigy. I will discover the mightiest martial arts here and outshine all my rivals!" boasted a young man, his face brimming with arrogance and his body radiating intense heat.

"Once I assimilate these martial arts, I'll surely catch up to my big brother and show the world the grandeur of our lineage."

"I have to succeed. It's the only way to save my family and honor the hopes placed in me," murmured a frail, pale teenager, bolstering his resolve. This was Hanyu Xiaoxin, who had entered the Qi Pavilion alongside Hanyu Xiaotian.

"That Hanyu Xiaotian, a complete failure, will surely despair after leaving here empty-handed. As for me, Hanyu Huamao, I will rise to greatness, trampling his lineage beneath me. Then we'll see how he pleads for mercy," sneered another.

Hanyu Duofeng, Hanyu Shengxi, and all the Hanyu Family juniors within the Pavilion felt a swell of excitement as they embarked on their ethereal voyages.

"Achoo! Hmm, who's cursing me now?" Hanyu Xiaotian mused, rubbing his nose.

Unable to gauge time or space in this place, Hanyu Xiaotian knew that 99% of the stars were likely beyond his reach. So, he spared himself the effort, wandering without purpose.

He found himself believing in the elusive concepts of destiny and fortune, for without luck, there seemed no clear path to exert effort.

Others might still strive and perhaps increase their odds of encountering martial arts that suited them.

But for him, searching for the one star—or few—among millions that might align with his fate was akin to searching for a needle in a cosmic haystack.

In the vast expanse of the Martial Arts Star within the Pavilion, Hanyu Xiaotian was perhaps the most at ease. He meandered, observing the patterns and movements of the stars, comparing them to the cosmos within his mind, all the while reflecting on the principles of the Dao and the logic he had absorbed in the Library.

It was uncertain whether his current state perfectly matched the Daoist scripture's ideal of desirelessness, but gradually, an ineffable Daoist charm began to emanate from him.

While Hanyu Xiaotian was deeply engrossed in his enlightenment, in a remote fringe of the cosmos, a star that had once been dimly lit seemed to detect something. It flickered several times before erupting into a dazzling brilliance, outshining and displacing nearby stars that had previously been luminous. Then, in the blink of an eye, it vanished from its original location and hurtled directly toward Hanyu Xiaotian's position.
