C11 Sharpshooter Ava: A New Passion Unlocked

Ava was thrilled about her first meeting with the university's shooting club. She had always been interested in firearms and had some experience with target shooting. However, it was her first meeting at the club, and she was nervous but excited.

As she walked into the shooting range, she was struck by the smell of gunpowder and the sound of fired shots. She saw a group of people gathered at the end of the range, and she recognized Jack, the team captain, from his picture in the invitation email.

"Welcome to the club, Ava!" Jack greeted her with a smile. "I'm glad you could make it."

"Thank you so much for inviting me," Ava said, feeling intimidated by the other members.

Jack introduced her to Parker, the vice-captain, and the other club members. They were all friendly and welcoming, which made Ava feel more at ease.

"We're going to show you around the range and introduce you to the different types of guns we use," Parker said.

They began with a tour of the shooting club's facilities, which included a 25-meter range and a 50-meter range. Parker explained the rules and regulations of the club and emphasized the importance of safety.

"Before we start shooting, we need to make sure everyone knows how to handle a gun safely," Parker said.

Ava listened attentively as Parker showed her how to disassemble and assemble the gun. Then, she practised the steps under his guidance until she felt comfortable.

Finally, it was time to start shooting. Ava stepped up to the 25-meter range, loaded her gun, and took aim at the target. She squeezed the trigger, and the gun recoiled in her hand. She walked down to check her mark and saw that she had scored an 8.

"I'm not very good at this," Ava admitted, slightly discouraged.

"That's okay," Jack said reassuringly. "It takes time and practice to get better."

Ava continued to shoot, and as she practised, she became more confident and consistent. By the end of the session, she had improved her score to a perfect 10.

"I'm getting the hang of this!" Ava exclaimed, feeling proud of herself.

"Well done, Ava!" Jack said. "Why don't you try shooting at the 50-meter range now?"

Ava accepted the challenge and moved to the more extended range. She took aim at the target and fired. She hit the bullseye, and the other club members cheered and applauded.

"I can't believe it!" Ava exclaimed, feeling overjoyed by her success.

The session ended, and Jack announced that there would be an outdoor practice session at the beginning of winter break, which was compulsory for all members.

"I can't wait!" Ava said, excited about the opportunity to improve her skills further.

As she left the shooting range, Ava felt grateful for the chance to join the club and for the support of her new teammates. She looked forward to the upcoming practice session and becoming a better shooter with their help.
