"What are you doing here?" he asked, although his heart was pounding with glee to see her.

She had shown up unexpectedly at his house, smiling and acting like they were old time friends. Not that he was complaining.

"Well…" she said, spreading her legs slightly to sit more comfortably. "You got me a car without even asking if I could drive."

He tried to keep himself from chuckling
