C26 CHAPTER 26: DISAPPOINTED

Lucilla became concerned when she noticed multiple missed calls from Avita on her phone.

Beauty and the girls invited her to the club, where they partied like crazy.

They drank too much, though, and eventually fell asleep without a care in the world.

As a result, she was unable to hear any calls that came in last night.

She panicked because Avita was not the type of person who loved calling relentlessly. So, unless something out of the ordinary happened, she would not do something like that.

Her concerns were heightened when she tried to call her, but the call was unsuccessful.

She ignored her stepmother's missed calls and went to check on Avita.

She was aware that Avita was no longer employed at her previous job and was now self-employed.

So, if she wanted to see her, the best place to find her would be at her apartment.

And she went to find her there.

When she got to Avita's apartment, she was astounded to see a distraught Patrick, and when she inquired as to what was going on, she discovered that Avita had miraculously packed her suitcase and left without saying a word.

She and Patrick had a quarrel, and when Patrick got home early that morning, he didn't see her, nor did she leave a letter.

He was terrified that something had happened, and when he saw Lucilla seeking for Avita, he felt even more dejected because Lucilla was the only friend, she had in Wakothanie with whom she could communicate with.

Avita’s other friends weren’t in the city and there was no way she would have gone out of the city late at night. It was too dangerous.

Lucilla disliked Patrick because she was Avita's friend, and she wanted her friend to be with someone who would not abandon her for the rest of her life.

If Avita marries Patrick, will she not have a difficult life serving her in-laws, who will look down on her because of her background?

Although it was even worse in the rich circle, she didn't believe there wouldn't be a rich family out there who didn't like Avita.

If her brother hadn't been so frigid, she would have assigned Avita to them. In this manner, she can form a close bond with Avita and become more than just sisters or friends.

Lucilla had to keep looking because Avita wasn't there, and it wasn't until she was in the car that she saw a message from Avita telling her that she was at her family's mansion.

She was relieved to hear this and didn't bother informing the agitated Patrick. Since Avita was doing this, she decided to teach Patrick a lesson and make him suffer a little.

She was being merciful by not doing anything to him; otherwise, umphh, no one would be able to save him.

Knowing where Avita was, she drove home swiftly and was relieved to learn that Avita was still asleep.

Felicia exaggerated her account of what happened the night before, and even the butler chimed in. Lucilla was so enraged that she regretted not taking action against Patrick sooner.

As a result, she hurried to the second floor and went straight to Avita's room. There was no response after several taps on the door. She finally banged on the door, but there was no response.

She tried calling, but Avita's phone was turned off, so Lucilla resorted to banging on the door, which worked.

“Click,” after a bit of drumming on the door, it finally unlocked, and a drowsy visage greeted her.

“Umphhh! What in the world is this, Avita?" When Avita appeared, Lucilla clutched her stomach and laughed.

Avita, who had been jolted awake by the loud thumping on the door, didn't even have the time to register where she was and simply awoke groggily to open the door.

She couldn't help but freeze in place now that Lucilla was laughing at her. ‘I've arrived at the Larsons! Oh, I've greatly embarrassed myself!'

At this point, Avita felt like she was going to die. She glared angrily at Lucilla and hurried back inside, leaving her outside.

Lucilla found the entire thing amusing but regretted not taking a photograph to preserve this moment, which will always be remembered as an unforgettable event in her life.

As she walked around the room, she raised her hand and wiped her tears away.

Because there weren't many visitors in the mansion, no one lived on the second floor for a long time. However, the servants always clean frequently, so that if a guest unexpectedly arrives, they will have a room to accommodate them.

Avita went into the bathroom and cleaned her body with shame on her face. She just wanted to die when she took those panties off.

Even while she was dating Patrick, she had never experienced an erotic dream like that before, and to think she dared to dream about.....

“Ahhhhhhh!” She cried out, irritated with the entire affair.

Her skin was so sensitive that she was irritated.

'Look at what you've done to me, Lucilla, Lucilla. At the very least, you should have waited until the deed was completed. Now my mind is going to run wild!' she lamented about the cut-off dream.

Avita washed up quickly because Lucilla was waiting for her.

She entered the bedroom wearing a robe after leaving the bathroom, only to discover Lucilla sitting on the couch with her phone.

"Sorry, hun," Lucilla said as she looked up at Avita, “I was so inebriated yesterday that I didn't even hear your calls!"

"I understand," Avita smiled as she glanced at Lucilla with an understanding gaze, “simply drink less in the future or your body will suffer!"

When Lucilla heard the advice, she smiled at Avita, who was always concerned about her loved ones. It's not every day she meets someone who doesn't consume any form of alcohol, even wine or beer.

Avita did not consume alcohol or smoke. She was living according to the healthy living handbook. She, on the other hand, was unable to do so. It was so much fun to drink wine and smoke now and then.

Will the stress of being wealthy kill her if she completely let's go?

However, for the sake of her friend's serious advice, she played along and replied, "Sure, hun. I'm going to cut back and take better care of myself!"

Hearing the response, Avita rolled her eyes. She'd be a fool if she thought Lucilla meant what she was saying.
