C16 They Didn't Believe It!

"Youngest aunt?" Yan Yu sneered. "Why would she leave a stranger in my room?" He glanced at his watch and continued, "It's already 11 PM. A woman showing up in a man's room this late—what else could it be but an attempt to seduce?"

"I really didn't..." Forget it, trying to explain to such a self-centered man is pointless! Moo Yuhan thought for a moment and said, "Youngest uncle, whether you believe me or not, I was just waiting here for my aunt. If I've disturbed you, I apologize. It's late, so I'll just leave now."

With that, Moo Yuhan headed for the door. Whatever, I just need to get out of here!

"Stop!" Yan Yu's voice was cold. "Leave the item before you go."

"What?" Moo Yuhan stared at him, confused. "What item?"

"My Italian watch that was here," he said, pointing to the empty table.

What watch? She hadn't seen anything! Oh, right! When her aunt left, she seemed to take something from that table.

"Could it be..." Moo Yuhan hesitated, "that my aunt took it?"

"Ha!" Yan Yu couldn't help but scoff. "Are you seriously accusing my sister of stealing my Italian watch? Do you have any proof?"

Moo Yuhan's expression turned icy, a contemptuous smile playing on her lips. "Youngest uncle, you accuse me of framing your sister, but aren't you doing the same to me? Do you have proof that I took it?"

"Do I need proof?" Yan Yu retorted coldly. "My watch is missing, and you were alone in my room. Who else could it be?"

"You..." Moo Yuhan gritted her teeth. "I told you I didn't take it. As the eldest daughter of the Moo family, I wouldn't stoop to taking a watch!"

Yan Yu sneered, "You talk as if you're so virtuous. Last night, didn't you go to great lengths to scheme against me?"

Upon hearing those words, Yuhan's face turned ghostly pale. It seemed he already knew about last night’s events. Yuhan forced herself to stay calm; she couldn’t afford to lose her composure in front of this arrogant man.

After steadying her nerves, Yuhan looked at him with a cool expression and said, “Since you’re aware of your actions last night, I won’t say much more. I have no other demands, just that we both forget this ever happened. Let’s pretend it never did.”

Yan Yu’s eyes flickered slightly at her words. Did he hear her right? She wanted him to act like nothing happened last night? Could it be that last night was really just a coincidence and had nothing to do with the An family?

His gaze suspiciously lingered on Yuhan. After a moment, Yan Yu hesitantly asked, “Last night... you really weren’t trying to seduce me?”

At this, Yuhan’s face flushed crimson with anger. She glared at Yan Yu with disdain and snapped, “Can you stop being so full of yourself? Do you think every woman in the world is interested in you? If you hadn’t forced yourself on me last night, do you think I would have anything to do with someone like you? Let me tell you, I’d rather never have met you! If I had a choice, I’d rather be with anyone else in the world than you!”
