The weakness of the main character

I would like it for the writer to change the way they write about the mc because in all the stories that has son in laws they used the same line of words the mc suffers for 3 years and aftr that he gets his monies bt still he uses the money in headen way why can’t he come out and enjoy his money n his wife n the family its always hidden which is boring
