I finally stopped in the parking and kicked the tyre.

“Liam!”

My mom's voice made me turn back and I saw her coming towards me with a mixture of both an angry and concerned expression on her face, the latter being more dominant.

“Mama, leave me alone,” I said as nicely as possible.

She put her hands on her waist and glared at me in that same manner she's been doing since I was a child
