C5 The Wedding Day

Flashback: Three months ago

In the blink of an eye, it was like a dream; I was nervous but happy. It was real, but it felt like a dream to me, a beautiful dream.

Have you ever loved someone? Have you ever? That was incredible and unexpected for me to have someone in my life who cared for me, wanted me more than I want him, and loved me despite my flaws. That made me wonder what makes me so unique. Logan Jareth was my first love, and there is nothing more amazing than marrying the man you love.

I was about to reveal myself to him as a bride, and he was waiting for me in the wedding hall. I was walking down the aisle holding a bouquet in a long white maxi with a long white veil touching the ground.

Logan was looking at me with hazel-colored eyes, a fringe haircut on dark red hair, and a Gray suit with a burgundy tie, and I could see the joy and excitement in him.

The wedding hall was packed with human guests. Only Logan and I were distinct creatures that humans couldn't differentiate. We didn't know any of them, but we invited them at random so we wouldn't feel lonely. Miss Valenta was the only person we both knew. I noticed she was happy for us.

Logan, a beta from the Darkfur pack, was ready to give up his title to marry me, and I was abandoned by the people I called family. My rough childhood and cursed luck always made me wonder why I was here. Why am I alive? Why did it happen to me? Why me? I asked myself this every night before going to bed.

Logan was the only person who stood by me and accepted me for who I was. I never had a friend, but Lohan was my one and only.

Logan approached me halfway down the aisle, his excitement visible, and I couldn't make eye contact with him after he kissed me on the forehead. I've always been a shy person, and the shyer I was, the more romantic Logan was; he wasn't afraid to express his love for me in front of everyone.

Logan extended his elbow, and I wrapped mine around his. and we both walked down the aisle; I had no family members, so Logan was walking down the aisle with me, so I didn't feel alone. He was such a thoughtful and good man that every second I felt fortunate to have him.

We both faced each other as the priest began his speech. Logan couldn't stop smiling at me as I blushed.

That time helped you prepare for the promises you'd make to each other. That was a priceless and intimate moment that you will remember for the rest of your life.

That was a priceless moment that you would want to be remembered for.

Logan detected a strange odor, and the door unexpectedly opened. Eight men in blue and black suits walked towards us. They are standing close to us.

"Thank you for coming today, but you must leave now because we heard there is a bomb planted in this hall and it will be blasted in 15 minutes," a panicked Edward announced over the mic.

Everyone panicked, and the hall was empty in 10 minutes. Edward burst out laughing.

"Poor humans," Edward observed.

"What exactly is going on? who are you, people?" Logan inquired.

"My name is Edward Elijah, and that man is," he says, motioning to Xavier.

Xavier entered the hall wearing a blue suit, a wristwatch, glasses, and shoes. He was dressed in branded clothing from head to toe.

"Xavier Ronan." Logan, who was visibly upset, said,

"Do you know this guy?" I inquired of Logan.

"He is an Alpha from the Oak pack," Logan expressed disappointment.

"We never let anyone forget about us," Edward teased Logan.

Xavier appeared to be a billionaire. He had a devil-may-care attitude. He has a man bun and a ducktail beard. He removed his glasses and looked at me for a moment, his sea rover-blue eyes a flicker with curiosity.

"I have no business with you, gentleman; could you tell me why you've come?" Logan, who was intrigued, inquired.

Xavier couldn't take his gaze away from me, which made me suspicious of him. How could someone stare at you like that for the first time they met?

"I came to claim my bride," Xavier said quietly as he watched me.

"I don't understand," Logan admitted.

"She's my bride," Xavier told Logan.

"Excuse me! Do I know you?" I inquired of him.

"No, we don't, but The Pronouncement of Wonder binds us.

and I'm here to claim you," Xavier declared.

"I'm not sure what you're talking about," I replied.

"You'll know when the time comes," Xavier predicted.

As Angry Logan approached Xavier, the members of the Oak pack all pointed their guns at me. Logan paused.

"I wouldn't want bloodshed in this lovely hall," Xavier said in a calm voice.

Xavier approached me and smelled my scent.

"I finally found you," said Xavier.

He perplexed and intrigued me; he refused to clarify anything, which made me more cautious.

"You are coming with me," Xavier said.

"I'd kill myself before going with you," I declared.

To scare me, Xavier pointed a gun at me.

"I don't care," I declared boldly.

Xavier turned and pointed the gun at Logan.

"Would you dare? I will kill him before you do anything?" Xavier stated solemnly.

I was terrified because I didn't want Logon to suffer any harm. I didn't want to be without him.

"Leave or I'll kill you," Logan yelled angrily.

Before Logan defeated Xavier, all the pack members fought with him, flying, sprinting, and leaving claw marks on each other's bodies.

Logan dashed over to Xavier, but he came to a halt as Xavier clutched my neck. I was out of breath, and Logan was powerless.

"Let me know if you want to die; I'd take her, anyway." Xavier threatened Logan.

Logan was on the verge of transforming. His eyes were changing color, and his claws were slowly growing. Xavier took his hand off my neck and shot Logan twice in the arm with the silver bullet, who was growling in pain.

"You want him to die? Do you want to save his life or not?" Xavier inquired.

Logan was on the verge of death, but he was still planning to attack Xavier. I knew what Xavier was up to; he was using both of us to save each other's lives and wanted us to give up to fulfill his wish.

"Stop, Logan, please stop right there," I said.

Logan was stunned because he knew I had already left him.

"I'm sorry, Logan," I apologized.

Logan was speechless as I walked away with the pack, knowing that to save him, I gave up. Throughout my life, people had abandoned me, and Logan was one I abandoned that day.

When all the expensive cars were parked behind him, Xavier opened the door to his BMW, a gleaming black car. I turned back as I heard Logan growling from inside the hall, and a single tear fell from my eye, a tear of regret.
