C38 Mother's sacrifice

The constant knock on the door must have woken her from her deep slumber,she opened her eyes grudgingly only to discover it was daybreak already. She must have slept so much as a result of the excess alcohol she took the previous night. She mumbled something sleepily as the knock continued then she heard her mother's voice.
