C17 Let's Start over
This was a very different kind of denial for a man. Hadn't he made her fall in love once in the more than month since their marriage?
The moonlight was especially bright tonight, shining in from the window and shining brightly on her clothes. Gu Mingjun looked at the back of her head and took the initiative to approach her, putting his arm around her waist and pressing his warm lips against her sensitive earlobes, he whispered, "Creek, sleep a little. If you fall down, I will feel my heart ache."
The tender words of love tugged at the heart of the stream, and the refreshing masculinity of his words enveloped her, causing her heart to stop beating in its normal rhythm.
The love story in the brook was a complete blank. The only man that she had ever been touched with was hugging her intimately while she was still standing in front of her. How could she not be nervous?
Gu Mingjun asked her to change the topic, and their gazes met. Under the dim moonlight, he actually discovered that she was so beautiful that it was shocking …
A little girl's bashfulness could be seen on her white face that was the size of a melon seed. Her pair of deep-seated eyes, in particular, exuded a sense of bewilderment towards him, as well as a little happiness …
She still had feelings for him, didn't she?
Otherwise, how could she show such a small secret joy when he was gentle to her?
His palm held her face. The heat from his palm caused her face to turn red. Her heart …
"Brook, do you love me?"
He had heard Anne say that she loved him...
Creek stared blankly for a moment, as if a secret that had been hidden deep within her heart had been dug out. This caused her to feel flustered, and her cheeks flushed red. "I …"
She loved him because of love, so she couldn't bear for him to leave when he needed her the most. Because of love, he hurt her, so she would still smile at him.
But could she still say she loved him?
They were both about to end. What was the point in talking about love and not love at this time?
"I'm tired. I want to rest."
With that, she turned her back to him, no longer sleepy. Gu Mingjun knew she was escaping, his wife loved him, so he wrapped her in his arms and kissed her hair, "Wife, let's start again." He spoke in a low voice, his rich and magnetic voice like a green willow branch gently brushing against the stream. She even suspected that she had misheard him. She turned over the screen and looked at him in puzzlement, 'What's wrong with him today?'
"Is that true?"
Her voice was choked with sobs.
It was only then that Brook realized that he had subconsciously hoped the marriage would not end there.
Gu Mingjun nodded and pulled her into his embrace, "Don't talk about divorce. The matter of divorce isn't child's play. Don't casually say it. Plus, we just got married."
The creek looked at him and wanted to ask, What about the woman outside?
Was he going to break off completely with the women outside, or was the red flag in his house not falling and fluttering in the colorful flags outside?
She snuggled up to his chest, listening to his rhythmic heartbeat, but she could not guess what he was really thinking.
Rather than not being able to guess, why not just act dumb and pretend to know nothing? Perhaps it was also a way to maintain happiness, because sometimes, facts were too cruel.
That night, she slept in his embrace, soundly sleeping.
The day she was discharged happened to be a day off. The stream had bought a lot of vegetables, and although she was not skilled at cooking, she was still bustling around the counter like a diligent little bee.
When Gu Mingjun went downstairs, he saw that her black hair was tied up casually, some of it fell down, and there was a comfortable beauty to it. However, today, she was wearing a dark green waist dress, making her waist look especially beautiful. He walked over and placed his arm around her waist, placing his chin on her thin shoulder, "What are you cooking for?"
Brook was surprised at first, then smiled, "Didn't you always want to eat what I made when you were in the hospital? "I went to apply for the culinary class recently and learned a little. I'll show you a few moves later, give me some points."
As she spoke, her face broke into a smile. Gu Mingjun looked at her hand and noticed that there were several cuts on her white fingers, all of which had been cut by knives.
He grabbed her wrist.
Creek quickly retracted his hand, not daring to look him in the eye. "It's okay, I accidentally drew it."
"So many times?"
When she had just gotten married to him, he had been holding her hand and praising her beauty from the bottom of his heart.
However, at this moment, her hands were full of wounds.
She put her hands behind her back. "I only hurt myself when I was learning to cook."
"Why should I?"
He didn't want his wife to be a member of the famous chef class.
"What I've made isn't tasty. In the past, you didn't even want to look at it. Mingjun, you said that you want to eat the food I've made, so I hope that I can be a proper wife and cook something good for you."
When she spoke, her eyes were full of laughter, as if the wound in her hand didn't hurt at all.
However, the smile on her face stung Gu Mingjun's heart.
