C11 President Mu's Legs Were Broken
The car window rolled down slowly.
Ye Yisi took a small step back, stood on her tiptoes, and craned her neck, trying to get a better view. Despite her efforts, her petite stature meant she couldn't see a thing.
"What seems to be the problem?" A cool male voice drifted out.
"Uncle! Uncle, could you please help me? I'm lost. Could you take me to find my mom?"
The driver glanced back at the man in the rear seat. "President Mu…"
Mu Tingsu responded indifferently, "No problem, it's just a child."
Ye Yisi was gearing up to plead further when the car door opened a crack.
"Eh?" She reached out with her plump little hand, surprised and delighted, and pulled the door open slightly wider. Bending at the waist, she poked her head inside, her large, round eyes scanning the interior. "Uncle…"
Her gaze landed on the man seated behind, and Ye Yisi's eyes grew wide with astonishment.
Wow, this uncle is incredibly handsome!
He was the kind of handsome her mother described as 'leg-breakingly' good-looking!
But the uncle seemed aloof, his expression unreadable – the very epitome of the 'cool and distant' demeanor her mother often mentioned.
Normally, Ye Yisi would be quite intimidated by such an adult, but she found this uncle so striking that she couldn't resist taking a longer look, which made her forget any sense of fear.
Mu Tingsu looked down at the pink-cheeked, round-faced little one before him and his lips curved into a slight smile. In a deep voice, he asked, "Little girl, how can I assist you?"
Dachen, the driver, watched the exchange and mused to himself in astonishment, "Is President Mu in a particularly good mood today? Is he actually looking to do a good deed?"
"I…" Ye Yisi, the four-year-old, struggled with her limited vocabulary. She scratched her head, searching for the right words, and finally said, "Uncle, my mom and granny are in Moon City."
Dachen offered, "President Mu, I could just take her to the broadcast room."
The announcements from Moon City's broadcast could be heard throughout the entire mall, and her parents would surely come looking for her.
Mu Tingsu observed the little girl, who had cautiously only stuck her head in, and felt an unexpected warmth in his heart. With uncharacteristic patience, he asked, "What's your mother's name?"
"Ye Jianjia…" Ye Yisi was the liveliest and most talkative of her siblings, but her enunciation was not always clear.
"Ye Jianjia?"
"No, it's Jianjia," corrected Ye Yisi.
Mu Tingsu still heard "Jianjia" as "Jiajia," prompting him to ask, "And what's your name?"
"Ye Yisi. 'One' as in the first number, and 'Yisi' as in 'missing you,'" she explained, enunciating each syllable.
Mu Tingsu turned to Dachen, "Take her to find her family."
"Understood." Dachen exited the vehicle.
To the public, President Mu was still bedridden and immobile, a comatose figure not yet ready to be revealed.
"Thank you, Uncle!" Ye Yisi beamed at Mu Tingsu before departing.
Dachen shut the car door and playfully addressed the little darling beside him, "Little sister, aren't you scared that this uncle might be a bad guy?"
"Not at all," the little girl replied, batting her large eyes and speaking with an adorable lisp, "Uncle drives a Rolls-Royce. He must be very rich and wouldn't need to steal kids!"
Dachen chuckled in response, "Haha, are kids these days always this clever?"
Who would drive a Rolls-Royce and stoop to the lows of child abduction?
Absolutely not!
Inside the car, the man's cool, handsome features softened with a slight smile.
Meanwhile, Ye Jianjia was frantic upon realizing that Fourth had gone missing. She had searched everywhere, asked numerous questions, and even notified the police. The mall was already reviewing the security footage in cooperation.
Ye Jianjia watched the surveillance footage while Zhang Zhe continued the search.
Suddenly, an announcement came through: Ye Yisi was in the broadcast room.
