C1026 Bathing in Blood and Killing Gods

"Benin, are you okay? You look pale!"

In a secluded corner far from the battlefield, Hart's voice was tinged with urgency as he whispered softly.

The frail Voidweaver girl had previously suffered from the corrupting influence of psionic power in the Nirvana Realm, and the lingering threat within her had not yet been cleansed. With the recent deactivation of the Luminescent Barrier, an even more violent surge of Star River strange power flooded in like a deluge, exacerbating her injuries.

Her delicate skin cracked like dry bark, and her vitality was waning.

Despite the Luminescent Barrier being conjured once more, uncleaned psionic power continued to permeate her flesh, causing her to shiver with cold sweat and endure excruciating pain.

"No, I'm... I'm fine..."

Benin crouched on the ground, hugging her knees to her chest like a startled young animal.

"Hart, you don't have to worry about me. I appreciate your concern, but I... don't want to deceive you. I don't feel the same way about you. You're a noble warrior of the Silverscale Tribe, and I sense you're on the verge of a breakthrough. You're still young, and when you reach the eighth level, you'll have a bright future."

Fighting to control her turbulent vitality, Benin only needed to close her eyes to see a myriad of delicate electrical currents zipping through her mind and coursing through her veins.

She realized this was due to the double onslaught of psionic corruption, which was further aggravated by the radiant fissures in Veilfall Canyon that had triggered the latent intricacies within her bloodline.

The force that was meant to advance her bloodline, lacking the proper nurturing environment, had instead turned against her.

She felt her time was running short, having internally resigned herself to her fate, her only wish being for Hart to find a way out.

Yet, she knew Hart's chances of survival were slim.

"Why are you staring at me?"

Peach Madam stood amidst the swirling Rainbow Ocean, harnessing the unique adhesive power of the miasma to draw in the tainted psionic energy and extract the beneficial elements for herself. She cast a displeased glance at the Shura General, wielding his broad blade, and said, "Your comrades, your people, are being slaughtered by that youngster, Yu Yuan. Surely you don't need me to remind you?"

"You're even more dangerous!" the Shura general bellowed.

"I'm not with him," Peach Madam retorted with a frown.

"You're a human from the Everlands! To us, all humans are aliens!" the Shura general declared coldly. "One day, we will march mightily into your vast world!"

Peach Madam let out a derisive laugh. "I see, you were once part of the regular army."

Only the regular allied forces of various races would harbor equal animosity towards both humans and archdemons of the Everlands.

Whether it was the cultivators from the five supreme forces, individuals like Green Willow, Xi Quan, or dark disciples like the Ghoul King, the regular allied forces of the Otherkin despised them deeply. Encounters inevitably led to deadly battles.

The Shura warrior before her, though currently in the Ashen Hollow—a gathering place for the King of Bandits—had a demeanor and gaze that Peach Madam found all too familiar.

"Suit yourself, but remember, if you attack, you're responsible for the consequences. Oh, and I forgot to mention, the white crane, its master, and I all left the Everlands together."

She gestured towards Yu Yuan, Zhan Ruonan, and Sun Jun, playfully raising her eyebrows, "They're teamed up with the five supreme forces, and I'm on good terms with the Skyreach Consortium. You might want to reconsider."

Hu Caiyun clearly had no intention of exerting herself.

She pointed towards Yu Yuan and the two Solar Spirits from the Ruby Hand.

The Shura warrior paused, seemingly unaccustomed to encountering a woman as indolent and brazen as her, willing to betray even her own allies.

As he wavered...

"Kill her!" Elena, known for her hot temper, yelled from the first land of the Ashen Hollow. "Ignore her excuses. Since she's acted against us, spare no one! And you two Solar Spirits, are you just going to stand there? Finish them off!"

A dense, almost tangible bloodlust emanated from Elena.

Lambing jumped back, cursing under his breath to maintain his distance, "Crazy woman!"

With a swift motion, the Shura general, following orders, unleashed a wide sweep of his blade. A golden light cleaved the Rainbow Ocean in two, his armor radiating a stunning brilliance.

He plummeted into the Rainbow Ocean, brandishing his blade in pursuit of Peach Madam, his fury akin to that of a provoked dire beast.

"Unreasonable, brainless beast!"

Peach Madam snorted dismissively. With a mere thought, two elite Warpbeast Demons, one a transformed Shura Warrior, materialized within the Rainbow Ocean.

Upon seeing the demon, the Shura general, armed with a massive blade, grew even more enraged. "How dare you, dare to kill my kin! You despicable human wretch!"

Peach Madam longed to point out that the Shura Warrior had already turned into a demon by the time she encountered him.

"Kill him!"

She commanded the Warpbeasts with venomous intent, then continued to manipulate her spells, conjuring more ferocious dire beasts and archdemons from the colorful miasma.

Elsewhere.

Elena's rallying cry spurred the eighth-level warriors of the Moonlit Wanderers and a cadre of seventh-level bandits to descend upon Zhan Ruonan and Sun Jun with predatory ferocity.

Forced into combat, Zhan Ruonan and Sun Jun had no choice but to engage.

And so, a titanic battle that would engulf the land commenced.

Hua! Hua! Hua!

On the adjacent land, numerous formidable bandits, heedless of death, charged into the fray, their laughter echoing as they traversed golden chains to join the support.

Fearless in the face of death, the bandits, especially those opposing the humans of the Everlands, were driven by a deep-seated resentment, a desire to unleash their pent-up fury on Yu Yuan and the other intruders. Without waiting for orders, they eagerly threw themselves into the conflict.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Crypt Clan's experts, along with another eighth-level Shura, continued their assault on Yu Yuan.

Upon landing, Yu Yuan found himself constrained by the intense gravitational field. The nearby Shura warriors seized the opportunity to inflict numerous bloody wounds on his chest and abdomen.

However, as he touched down, his Lunar Spirit, shielded by the Seven Star Aegis, swiftly returned to its rightful place.

The pale azure glow of the Seven Star Aegis shifted from the Lunar Spirit to his real body.

Thanks to the Seven Star Aegis's protection, the wounds on his chest and abdomen began to heal significantly. With a slight adjustment of his Evil Body Refining technique, he tapped into his extraordinary self-healing ability, effortlessly closing the bloody holes.

The arcane blood magic wielded by the Crypt Clan's experts against him was effortlessly nullified as soon as the Seven Star Aegis neared his body. The Shura warrior, relentless in his assault on Yu Yuan, immediately realized that his sharp spikes were merely grazing the surface of the pale green shield, sparking dazzling green light upon contact. Inside, Yu Yuan remained unscathed.

With a swift whoosh, the eighth-level Shura warrior retreated, ceasing his close-quarters combat.

"Hmm, how intriguing, quite the commotion," Yu Yuan remarked with a mischievous grin, gesturing towards Elena and Lambing at the fringe of the land, "Why don't all three of you join in?"

Having his Lunar Spirit safely returned to the sanctuary of his Mindscape and the Seven Star Aegis once again in his grasp, Yu Yuan was far from pleased. The abrupt vanishing of the Luminescent Barrier had nearly jeopardized his Lunar Spirit. Even without Lambing's intervention, he was ready to take extreme measures to clarify the situation for these marauders.

Bandits who thrived in the shadows like vermin should stick to their role. But should they dare to lash out, he was more than willing to sever their overreaching claws!

"Explode!" he commanded.

A burst of crimson sword light enveloped an eighth-level Crypt Clan warrior. The piercing force of the Nine Celestial Slashes immediately infiltrated the warrior's body, shredding the beetle-like Crypt Clan expert within the radiance of the sword light.

Yu Yuan, gripping the sword sheath, flashed a radiant smile and unleashed another strike. The sword light, crimson as the dawn, cleaved through the air and materialized near the Shura general. The sword light, imbued with the might to annihilate all life, seemed to unfold into myriad intricate spells, showering the Shura general's mind with countless shards of brilliance like a torrential downpour.

"A bunch of misfits," he scoffed.

His sword danced, sending out streaks of light that sliced through the air like ribbons. The seventh-level Otherkin bandits that surged forward were swiftly dismembered by the relentless sword light. Limbs and blood chunks scattered, the acrid stench of gore filling the air.

In mere moments, a dozen seventh and sixth-level bandits lay slain around him. Protected by the light green glow of the Seven Star Aegis, Yu Yuan hovered immaculately above the carnage, his expression detached as he faced the oncoming wave of bandits.

The bandits, fresh from crossing over from another land with golden chains still clinging to their feet, were met with bursts of crimson sword light.

Crack!

The sound of flesh rending echoed once again.

The razor-sharp crimson light sliced through the bodies of the Otherkin with ease, their armor and shields shattering at the slightest touch.

Within moments, several new severed limbs lay scattered on the ground near Yu Yuan.

Blood streamed like a river around him, and many tenacious Otherkin dragged their bisected forms across the earth, as if trying to piece themselves back together.

A mist of blood rose from the land, shrouding Yu Yuan, who stood amidst it like a mythic reaper from the underworld.

Whoosh!

He inhaled deeply within the thickening blood mist, drawing in the vital energy released by the deceased Otherkin straight into his Profound Gate acupoint.

Inside his little world, the Altar of Rebirth spun lazily, like a ravenous behemoth devouring the blood and qi.

Yu Yuan's wounds, inflicted by the Shura General's spikes, had healed without a trace, leaving not even a scar behind.

An abundance of vital energy surged into the Seven Star Aegis, repaying it for its aid.

"For the first time, I find a sweet taste in the blood mist."

Yu Yuan stood within the thinning blood mist, invigorated by the workings of the Altar of Rebirth, and took another deep, intoxicated breath. He then flashed a fierce grin at the newly arrived batch of Otherkin bandits. "Perfect timing!"

The group of bandits, hardened by countless brutal skirmishes, were momentarily paralyzed by his menacing smile.

Amidst the scattered limbs and gore, Yu Yuan stood enveloped in the mist, breathing deeply, like a fiend craving more bloodshed.

"Don't be afraid, it'll be quick."

They stood frozen, and with a light chuckle, Yu Yuan charged into their midst.

The dazzling crimson sword light erupted among the Otherkin, followed by a cacophony of screams and the ghastly sight of blood and flesh soaring through the air, limbs tumbling to the ground.

Moments later, Yu Yuan, exhilarated by the slaughter, burst out of the Luminescent Barrier and perched triumphantly atop a golden chain.

He directed his sword sheath toward Lambing and Pattinson, "Those fated to die are hardly a challenge. Do you have anyone more formidable?"
