C1036 It Was Addictive!!(2)
Hart from the Silverscale Tribe peered around curiously, his gaze finally settling on the towering structure. He pointed at the tower and remarked, "Isn't that where Yu Yuan and the Shura warrior clashed?"
Below the platform, two witches from the inner demon tribe lightly chuckled, their lips curled in amusement.
Benin sat stoically, seemingly oblivious to the surrounding noise.
Pattinson of the Shadowkin listened to the hurried breaths and Elena's resonant moans. Massaging his temples, he leaned against a massive stone pillar, remaining silent. The sounds didn't seem quite right, but Elena had never been known for such boldness. Shaking his head, Pattinson dismissed his concerns as overthinking.
Only Peach Madam Hu Caiyun, in the midst of refining her psionic power, paused her efforts, startled by the odd noises. A wisp of her consciousness escaped, and her lips curled into a suggestive smile. "Young people really don't sweat the small stuff. One moment they're in a life-or-death struggle, and the next, they're entwined as if death itself were at their heels," she mused with a soft chuckle.
Then, a new thought struck her. Considering Yu Yuan and Elena's current entanglement, she pondered the possibility of future collaborations with Yu Yuan.
"You've got a stroke of luck!" she exclaimed. With a swift motion, she released the eighth-level Shura general, who had been on the brink of death within her Rainbow Ocean. He was a formidable opponent due to his high bloodline level, and she had intended to refine him later.
Knowing what was transpiring between Yu Yuan and Elena, she decided to show mercy and offered the Shura warrior a chance at survival. The warrior, barely clinging to life on the ground, began to stir as his bloodline power awakened.
"You?" Pattinson's attention was drawn by her unexpected act of clemency. He furrowed his brow and glanced at his companion, who was surprisingly still alive. "He's still breathing?"
"If it hadn't been for Yu Yuan revealing so many secrets in the Nirvana Realm, I would have dismissed his words as pure fiction," Peach Madam mused with a light huff, smoothing out her disheveled hair and muttering to herself. "Could that young man really be the God of Medicine, Hong Qi, from three centuries ago? Back then, Hong Qi was so engrossed in medicine and the pursuit of rebirth that he seemed impervious to the charms of women."
"Sleeping, did he really sleep with her?" Pattinson was taken aback. As a man who held Fernand in high regard, he was concerned about the potential repercussions and thus refrained from using his remnant soul or activating any devices to spy on the scene at the base of the tower. With only the sounds to go by, he couldn't be certain and remained suspicious.
Peach Madam shot him a look that said, "What do you think?"
"How on earth am I going to explain this to Lord Fernand?" Pattinson lamented, tugging at his hair in distress.
Hart from the Silverscale Tribe stood there with a blank expression, gazing foolishly at the tower and the bizarre noises emanating from within. The young Otherkin's cheeks flushed with color.
Meanwhile, Benin sat motionless, seemingly oblivious to it all, like a statue.
Time passed, and eventually, a Shura girl emerged from the tower, her face stern and her demeanor composed. Her armor was meticulously arranged, even more modest than usual. She was the first to step out.
Upon seeing Peach Madam's half-smiling gaze, Pattinson's mournful expression, and Hart's vacant look, she felt a twinge of panic and glared at them, demanding, "What are you staring at? Is there something worth seeing?"
Her overly tidy appearance seemed to betray her attempt to conceal something, like the proverbial silver hidden in plain sight.
"After the pleasure, you do look a bit more radiant than before," Hu Caiyun commented with a smile.
"Ugh, shameless woman, spouting nonsense!" Elena retorted sharply, her face cold. She had just noticed the general at Peach Madam's feet and was about to speak when her expression subtly shifted. She quickly retreated to another square stone building that belonged to her father and shut the stone door with a resounding clang.
In the dimly lit hall, Elena felt an overwhelming and rich vitality coursing through her body. Her expression was one of astonishment as she sensed the life force, a psionic power that promised to strengthen her bloodline. "This..."
Her face registered shock and uncertainty as she detected a life force within her that was not her own, a potent vitality that could potentially bolster her Shura bloodline.
"Impossible! Isn't that guy from the Everlands?" she wondered in disbelief. Her father, Fernand, had always said that it was nearly impossible for a Shura woman to conceive with a human male from the Everlands.
Yet, there it was—a powerful surge of life within her, unmistakable and vibrant.
She was convinced that if she didn't refine this force, allowing it to grow unchecked, she would undoubtedly become pregnant with Yu Yuan's child. The thought of being so young and carrying the child of a stranger from another race was enough to drive Elena to the brink of madness.
"No! Absolutely not! How would I ever explain this to the old man and my fellow clansmen? What would become of my esteemed future as a Shura of the Dark Realm?"
"This power, this rich life force... It seems to greatly benefit my Shura bloodline!"
With a clear plan in mind, Elena sat down on the spot and employed the Shura blood magic to assimilate the pure life force that Yu Yuan had infused into her.
Half a day later, Elena stirred slightly and opened her eyes, which were now gleaming with vitality. She clenched her fists and effortlessly shattered the stone tiles beneath her. "It really did help my bloodline advance! Yu Yuan is no ordinary human. My bloodline might even reach the eighth level much faster because of this!"
Energized by her breakthrough, she leapt to her feet, only to be met with internal conflict once again.
After a brief hesitation, she bit her lip and resolved, "Since it's already happened once, a few more times won't make much difference!"
With that, she forcefully punched through the stone door and stepped out, feigning composure. With a powerful stomp, she launched herself into the air like a shot, exclaiming, "Yu Yuan, you little thief! You're in for it now!"
Beneath the central high platform surrounded by numerous buildings, Pattinson, Hu Caiyun, Hart, and others exchanged bewildered glances.
"This girl really can't get enough, can she?" Hu Caiyun remarked with an odd look, eyeing Pattinson who appeared to have taken a blow. "It hasn't been long, and she's back again. Has she always been like this?"
Pattinson, coughing violently, shook his head in denial, "Never, not once!"
Hart scratched his head, muttering to himself, "Is this really the attitude of a bandit's life?" He felt as if his entire worldview had been turned upside down. Then, he cautiously and surreptitiously glanced at Benin.
In Benin's clear eyes, there was a trace of iciness. "Shut up! And close off that mind of yours that's running wild with thoughts!"
"Oh, right, right," Hart responded, nodding his head in rapid succession.
