C1076 Accepting a Disciple

Lulu suddenly looked up, her eyes sparkling with a newfound brightness. It was as if a brilliant ray of sunshine had pierced through the gray shroud enveloping her heart, illuminating it with hope. An uncontrollable smile spread across her lips, reflecting her inner joy.

Mia came to an abrupt halt, her gaze shifting to Yu Yuan in bewilderment. After a few moments, her face broke into a genuine smile, mirroring the happiness she felt for Lulu.

Even the eyes of the Luan Bird Queen, peeking from beneath her veil, seemed to twinkle with a subtle amusement. The glimpse of her exquisitely chiseled jawline hinted at a restrained smile.

With a quiver in her voice, Lulu asked, "Yu, Brother Yu, is it really true?"

"Your aptitude for alchemy rivals that of my former disciples, and coupled with your unique lineage, your potential is boundless," Yu Yuan assured her with a deep, encouraging gaze. "I understand that you're not fond of conflict or skilled in combat. Therefore, the path of an alchemist is exceptionally well-suited for you. You're destined to make significant contributions through your craft."

Lulu's heart swelled with elation at his words.

Kennard, known as the Child of Forest, and an elder of the Dark Elfkind with a Ninth Level bloodline, wore expressions of sullen discontent.

Kennard chose to remain silent.

The elder Dark Elfkind, Arlene, turned abruptly to Mia and demanded, "Have you forgotten your duty?"

"What duty?" Mia responded, taken aback.

"Our sacred relic must be removed," Arlene insisted sternly. "She is not of pure Dark Elf blood! The relic, safeguarded by the High Priest, should be reclaimed by our tribe to select a rightful heir."

After a brief moment of reflection, Mia glanced at Yu Yuan, drawing strength from his presence. "The relic has adorned Lulu's neck since her childhood, signifying the High Priest's early decision to entrust it to her. Moreover, our High Priest holds the authority to bestow the relic upon any clan member he deems worthy."

Taking a breath, Mia added firmly, "Furthermore, Lulu has already successfully bonded with the relic!"

"Insolence!" Kennard's face contorted with fury.

Yu Yuan let out a sly chuckle, eyeing the so-called Child of Forest. "The Babel Chamber of Commerce has clear rules against private duels within the Oblivion Starfield, and that goes double for the Plover Realm."

"I'm well aware. Do you think you'd still be standing here unscathed if I didn't?" Kennard retorted icily.

"I think you've misunderstood," Yu Yuan said, his voice tinged with frustration. "What I'm trying to say is, if it weren't for the Babel Chamber of Commerce's rules, I would've already put you in your place, you so-called Child of the Forest!"

Kennard, Arlene, and even Mia were taken aback by his boldness. Kennard was the youngest son of the current Dark Elfkind patriarch. Where did Yu Yuan find such audacity?

"If your father were here, I might reconsider, out of respect for him. But as for you..." Yu Yuan shook his head dismissively. "You simply don't carry that kind of weight."

"Mr. Zhou!" he called out sharply.

"Present," came the weary response from the fat old man with the whisk, who reluctantly revealed himself.

He really didn't want to get involved in the dispute between Yu Yuan and Kennard, preferring to observe from a distance. He would only intervene if a fight actually broke out.

"Lulu possesses a pure Dark Elfkind bloodline and has an extraordinary talent for alchemy. Under my mentorship, she's destined to become a Heaven Level alchemist. Her Dark Elfkind lineage also has the unique ability to nurture herbs, enabling rare flowers to mature in much less time."

Having set the stage, Yu Yuan continued, "Mr. Zhou, isn't someone with her talents exactly what your chamber desperately seeks?"

Lulu was not fond of combat, making the Divine Soul Sect an unstable choice for her. The Babel Chamber of Commerce was a far better fit.

Mr. Zhou grimaced and admitted, "Indeed, she is."

"That's what I thought." Yu Yuan nodded, turning his attention back to Kennard. "She's my apprentice, soon to be a Heaven Level alchemist, and she'll be affiliated with the chamber."

Kennard's expression turned rigid.

"If you truly desire that necklace, take it up with your father and the chamber when you return," Yu Yuan huffed. "Some matters shouldn't be decided without prior approval. You are not the patriarch of the Dark Elfkind; you don't speak for your father!"

Mia's thoughts stirred at his words. Upon reflection, she too realized that Yu Yuan had pinpointed the crux of the matter. The patriarch operated on a level far above Kennard and would never allow such impulsive behavior.

"Please leave. You three are not welcome here," Yu Yuan said, turning his back and walking into his house without giving them another glance.

"He's right. You can't just take Lulu's necklace in the Plover Realm," Zhou You said with a hint of resignation, cautioning Kennard. "This includes Hu Caiyun. You mustn't cause trouble in the Oblivion Starfield. Once she leaves, what happens outside is none of our concern."

Sky Shocking Emperor chimed in, "And if Hu Caiyun is officially accepted by the Divine Soul Sect, consider the consequences before you act." He followed Yu Yuan into the palace.

Lulu waited at the doorway. Seeing that Mia didn't attempt to snatch the necklace and Kennard remained silent with a dark expression, she bowed respectfully to Mia and then turned to go back inside.

With a whoosh, the Luan Bird Queen vanished.

...

The nest, tinged with an ominous scent of death, was where President Lyi, Fisher, and three experts in the secret arts stood in silent anticipation.

Suddenly, the massive nest was aglow with a dazzling light, resembling a tapestry of shooting stars that wove into a radiant portal. The starlight within was brilliant, and the chaotic spatial energies began to stabilize.

After a short pause, Luo Yue emerged from the nest, now serving as the Galaxy Crossing, her form shimmering like a multicolored glass sculpture. She greeted President Lyi with a warm smile, "It's good to see you, President Lyi."

Relieved at her appearance, President Lyi knew the Galaxy Crossing was operational again.

"Yu, is Yu Yuan really in the Plover Realm?"

Luo Yue had intended to address him as her master, but since Hong Qi had not formally inducted her into the Medicine God Sect in her past life, and Yu Yuan did not wish to be called master in this one, she simply used his given name.

President Lyi's gaze revealed the palace where Yu Yuan was located, "Just a short distance from here."

Luo Yue smiled and swiftly departed.

Following her, Tianzang, the Initial Spirit Ghost King, and the Kalpa Ghost King emerged from the Galaxy Crossing, each with a newly refined physique.

Together with Luo Yue, four mighty Ghost Kings now stood within the Plover Realm.

The Heavenly Devils, who had shattered the realm barrier and arrived from the Outland Star River, were seized by a wave of unease at the emergence of the four Ghost Kings. They were all abuzz with questions about what had transpired.

"Why have the four Ghost Kings of Horror Land suddenly embarked on a campaign beyond the heavens, descending upon the Oblivion Starfield?"

Standing beside the Death Nest, the white crane drooped its eyes, ruminating on the death energy it had attempted to master. Failing to refine the nest left it feeling quite disgruntled, especially since Chen Qinghuang had reaped the benefits of its efforts. Yet, it was acutely aware of its own inability to restore the Death Nest to its former glory.

"The White Bone has ascended to divinity," announced Lvliu, a fellow formidable demon, catching everyone off guard. "Having achieved godhood in Horror Land without claiming the highest throne, the Ghost Kings have found their backbone. They now dare to venture from the Outland Star River in search of their destiny. Should they encounter any peril in the starry expanse, their safe return to Horror Land is assured."

"From this point forward, the White Bone in Horror Land will be akin to the Desolate God in the Great Swamp—unbeatable within its domain. Even if the Primordial Spirits and Demon Gods of the five greatest powers were to confront them, they would find themselves utterly powerless."

Lvliu revealed the hidden intricacies of the situation.

"The White Bone has become the first Ghost God in history!" Zhongli inhaled deeply, his voice laden with awe. "Who could have imagined that the legends would manifest into reality?"

"The Ghost God White Bone, once known as the Evil King Yu Xi, is an ancestor of Yu Yuan. White Bone's ascension to godhood was aided by Yu Yuan's fierce determination," Xi Quan mused, her eyes narrowing. "Therefore, it stands to reason that the four Ghost Kings in the Outland Star River could only be swayed by Yu Yuan."

"Tianzang, also known as the Demon God Yuv Qian, may not be entirely obedient to White Bone. However, Yu Yuan is a member of the Divine Soul Sect, and there appears to be an unspoken agreement between Yuv Qian and the sect," President Lyi pondered aloud before nodding in affirmation. "Indeed, Yu Yuan must possess the capability to wield the power of the four great Ghost Kings."

Once they step beyond Horror Land, the four great Ghost Kings are on par with four Unrestrained Stage powerhouses.

Yu Yuan had the ability to harness their power, making him a formidable presence not only in the Plover Realm but also throughout the Oblivion Starfield.
