C1094 Find the Right Direction

The enigma of forging the body of a Yang God had long vexed Yu Yuan.

Until now, he had been at a loss, unable to find a direction.

But at this moment...

Using the "Life Altar" as the foundational core, and allowing the Heavenly Soul to settle within, he could, through the relentless accumulation of spiritual power and soul consciousness, forge a new and mysterious Yang God.

The altar, crimson as blood crystals, harbored a power as immense as the ocean, a power linked to Qi and blood.

Wouldn't the Yang God crafted from this be a fusion of Qi, blood, and spirit, akin to the nearly mythical Yang God of the Luan Bird Queen?

Yu Yuan's mind raced with possibilities.

Nevertheless, he resolved to heed Chen Qinghuang's advice and give it a try.

With a mere thought.

Whoosh!

The Heavenly Soul, long anchored in the Consciousness Little World and never having departed, coalesced into a dark red silhouette. It burst forth from his brow and seamlessly entered the "Life Altar" nestled within his chest.

As the Heavenly Soul took residence, it seemed to Yu Yuan as though he had stepped onto a magnificent, colorful red crystal grinding wheel.

This grinding wheel, once set in motion, would pulverize all flesh and blood cast into it, distilling pure essence and soul power from the blood, sinew, and bone.

A portion of this essence would then fortify the altar itself, propelling the enigmatic altar's continuous evolution.

The excess would flow into Yu Yuan's Qi and blood Little World, and once brimming, would surge through his limbs and skeleton, aiding in the relentless tempering of his physique.

Any additional Qi and blood would seep into his hidden acupoints, facilitating the opening of new ones.

The generated pure soul power would soar directly into his Consciousness Little World, bolstering his Yin God, purifying his Heavenly Soul, and nurturing his primary soul.

The "Life Altar" was indeed a tool of infinite utility, capable of comprehensively enhancing both his body and spirit.

At this instant, his Heavenly Soul flitted through the ruby-like "Life Altar," as if meandering through an alternate dimension crafted from crystal faces. He could see everything, yet he was unable to reshape the "Life Altar" into the form he envisioned at will.

He realized that if he could refine the Life Altar into his Yang God as Chen Qinghuang had described...

Then, with a mere thought from his Heavenly Soul, he could transform the Life Altar into his own body. It could become his double, ready for battle, complete with arms, legs, and a full combat form.

No longer would he merely drift through it like a visitor.

"Enter the Demon Blade," the Luan Bird Queen softly prompted.

Yu Yuan nodded, halting his wandering thoughts. As his eyes narrowed, the Life Altar enveloped his Heavenly Soul and plunged into the blade of the Blood Prison.

Whoosh!

In a flash, Yu Yuan's Yin God, Heavenly Soul, and main soul all experienced a peculiar sensation.

Connected as one, he suddenly found himself and the Life Altar within an odd realm.

Seven massive "blood souls" loomed like swollen planets, their interiors churning with flesh and echoing with the howls of fierce souls.

Beyond them, innumerable blood-colored sparks, akin to stars, were strewn across various regions, likely numbering in the tens of millions!

Upon their arrival, both the seven massive "blood souls" and the myriad blood-colored sparks were engulfed in fear and trembling, seemingly evading something.

This was a stark contrast to his previous experience when he had infused the Life Altar with his blood essence by grasping the handle of the blade.

Before, as soon as his blood essence flowed into the Life Altar, it was voraciously seized by the seven massive "blood souls" and the countless blood-colored sparks, rapidly digested in such a brief span that he had no chance to understand or reflect before the connection was severed.

But now...

With the Life Altar in tow, his Heavenly Soul burst forth, feeling as though he was leading a Starry Behemoth capable of devouring the cosmos into a starry river poised for a celestial hunt, ready to engulf and assimilate the myriad stars!

Upon reflection, he understood that the seven massive "blood souls" were likely the remnants of the Demon Blade's previous seven masters, consumed by its malevolent power.

The blood and spirits of the seven former masters had been swallowed by the Demon Blade, transforming them into these "blood souls."

The tens of millions of blood-colored sparks were the remnants of the countless lives slain by the seven masters wielding the Demon Blade.

After their deaths, the Demon Blade ensnared their flesh and souls, transforming them into countless shimmering lights.

Yet, whether it was the "blood and soul" or the myriad blood-colored glimmers, they all feared the Life Altar.

Yu Yuan, observing from afar, curled his lips into a chilling smile and murmured, "The Starry Behemoth truly reigns supreme in the food chain."

"Of course," Chen Qinghuang replied with a light laugh, her eyes sparkling brighter than the stars as she gazed at the blade of the Demon Blade. "Now, you can wield the Demon Blade once more. With your vital essence, refine and hone it. I'm certain you'll experience something entirely new."

Yu Yuan did as she suggested.

Once the Life Altar had been integrated into the blade, he reached out once more to grasp the hilt of Blood Prison, infusing his vital essence anew.

Indeed, it was unlike before!

This time, as his essence seeped in, the seven most voracious and fierce "blood and soul" entities, along with the millions of blood-colored lights, became eerily calm.

Despite their evident longing and ample strength to consume his released essence, they refrained, cowed by the presence of the Life Altar in their realm.

They recognized the familiar scent, understanding that the essence now permeating their domain was of the same origin as the Life Altar.

The Life Altar had the power to obliterate everything within the Demon Blade's inner sanctum!

Whether it was the "blood and soul" or the countless blood-colored lights, any attempt to displease the Life Altar would result in their refinement, erasing their existence.

Hence their newfound compliance.

"Whoa!"

Yu Yuan watched in astonishment as his blood essence flowed into the blade, causing intricate dark red bloodlines to surface on the blade's face.

Near the hilt, the dark red patterns wove together, forming a lattice that resembled a prison.

"The name 'Blood Prison' is derived from the Demon Blade's ability to trap the flesh and souls of those who perish by its edge. These spirits do not fade away within the blade; they exist eternally. In battle, they become part of the Demon Blade's own power, assimilating and consuming the souls of more fallen foes."

Chen Qinghuang, clearly well-versed in the lore of the Demon Blade, offered her explanation as the dark red lines emerged.

In just a quarter of an hour, only a small portion of the blood lines around the hilt of the Demon Blade had appeared. Yu Yuan, already exhausted, was forced to release his grip on the hilt, exclaiming, "The amount of flesh and blood essence required to refine this Demon Blade is more than I can endure in one attempt."

"Obviously," the Peacock King huffed from beyond the vibrant demonic energy barrier. "Did you even consider that the Demon Blade's previous masters were either Unrestrained Stage cultivators or Ninth Level Great Demons? Lacking a Life Altar, they had no choice but to relentlessly suppress the blood soul within the blade, simultaneously infusing it with their essence to illuminate every blood line."

"You may be formidable, but you've got a long way to go to match them!"

With a clang, the Demon Blade hit the ground. Yu Yuan, observing that barely an eighth of the blood lines had been activated, silently retrieved a Blood Elemental Pill and swallowed it.

He then took out two bottles of exotic blood from the Universe Ring, gifts from Canli of the Bright Clan.

The Life Altar soared out of the Demon Blade. He watched intently as the blood lines, now embedded in the blade, remained intact. The blood and Qi that had merged seemed to have become an integral part of the Demon Blade, no longer at the mercy of the "Blood Soul."

He poured the two bottles of blood into the Life Altar, his Heavenly Soul temporarily retreating, waiting for the Life Altar to process the blood and replenish what he had lost.

"I'll need to refine this Demon Blade gradually, over several attempts," Yu Yuan declared.

"Time is of the essence. You have only five days left. In five days' time, I'm certain a significant event will unfold in the Plover Realm," the Luan Bird Queen advised gently.
