C1161 In the Sunfeather Glade

In the deepest reaches of the Godsblight Marsh within the Everlands, a barefoot Ape clad in sackcloth, his waist cinched with a hemp rope, contentedly puffed on his smoke tube. He gazed into the forest where spiritual energy flowed like water, and there, a large bird's nest had materialized out of thin air.

Zu Ann, adorned with a crest and wielding the Mirror of Fates, also turned his attention to the bird's nest, now devoid of its destructive psionic power. He and Untamed had escorted this Nest of Perdition back from the far reaches of the extraterrestrial Star River to settle it here.

The Songbird's demon soul had taken residence within, briefly transforming the nest into its corporeal form, allowing it to display its wondrous powers.

Squeak! Squeak!

The persistent cries of the Songbird's demon soul echoed from within the Nest of Perdition, drawing the focus of both Untamed and Zu Ann. For the time being, all demons loyal to the Ape were forbidden from entering this part of the marsh.

"It's been half a month since the Empress of the Deathwing Lair has shown any sign of life," the gray-haired Ape grumbled, clearly growing impatient. "Zu Ann, rumor has it that the lady took your friend with her. Somehow, they've both vanished without a trace in the Zagreus."

"Hong Qi..." Zu Ann, now a primordial spirit after taking Lee Tianxin's place in the Sunlit Order, murmured under his breath.

He hadn't anticipated that Yu Yuan, whom he had been covertly watching, was not his old friend's successor but the friend himself. The thought of Yu Yuan's demeanor and the way he looked at him always left Zu Ann with a sense of irritation.

"When Hong Qi returns to the Everlands, we'll need to have a serious discussion," Zu Ann huffed.

Whoosh!

Within the Nest of Perdition, the Songbird's demon soul materialized, casting a timid glance at Zu Ann and Untamed. Its ethereal green wings folded gently as it spoke in a piercing human tongue, "Near the Land of Terror, within the Sunfeather Glade, there's something that resonates with this nest."

"What kind of resonance?" Zu Ann inquired, intrigued.

The spirited body of the Songbird replied urgently, "A convergence!"

"Resonance?!" Untamed exclaimed, startled.

The Sunfeather Glade, bordering the Land of Quiescence, had been home to countless birds and Spirit Birds for millennia, thriving within its lush expanse.

As a result, the forest came to be known as Sunfeather Glade.

Many Spirit Birds now thriving in the Everlands and the extraterrestrial Star River, such as the Golden Wing Roc, Peacock, and Thunder Condor, all originated from Sunfeather Glade.

This includes the current Peacock Queen and the Songbird before him, who also emerged from Sunfeather Glade.

The Songbird, with only its demon soul remaining and mysteriously fused with the Nest of Perdition, claimed that something within Sunfeather Glade resonated with the Nest of Perdition. What could this imply?

"Is it truly Sunfeather Glade?" Zu Ann inquired with caution.

The Songbird nodded emphatically, as if pecking at grains.

"Let's have a look."

Zu Ann focused his thoughts, and the Mirror of Fates unfolded in the sky above the marsh. Bolstered by his divine power, the mirror instantly projected the image of the verdant forest teeming with birds.

He asked rapid-fire questions, and the Songbird promptly indicated the direction.

Soon, a Magic Tree, standing over ten meters tall with leaves shimmering like green emeralds, materialized within the Mirror of Fates.

Surrounding this Magic Tree were numerous taller and sturdier giants, each towering dozens of meters with dense foliage that blotted out the sky.

Yet, this particular tree stood out, modest in size but with leaves of a striking green brilliance.

"Ah!"

The spirited body of the Songbird let out a sharp cry upon seeing the Magic Tree.

This was the tree that had haunted its dreams and memories for years.

In its dreams and memories, however, the tree's leaves were not as vibrantly green or luminous, making it seem inconspicuous and easily overlooked.

Each time it dreamed or reminisced about this tree, it remembered the abandoned infant it had discovered beneath it.

Indeed, the current Songbird Queen, Chen Qinghuang, was that very infant.

The Songbird had stumbled upon her and covertly watched over her, eventually ensuring she was placed in the care of the Chen family patriarch who frequented Sunfeather Glade.

In countless dreams and memories, there was always this tree and the enigmatic baby girl.

It had always believed that its recurring thoughts of that moment and the unassuming Magic Tree were because of the time it had spent with Chen Qinghuang.

Zu Ann's eyes narrowed as the Lunar Spirit between his brows burst forth, swiftly merging with the Mirror of Fates.

Moments later, his Lunar Spirit materialized within the Mirror of Fates.

Precisely speaking, he traversed to the Sunfeather Glade in the blink of an eye, arriving beneath the marvelously radiant Magic Tree.

Zu Ann's Lunar Spirit lightly brushed the tree trunk, unleashing a flood of tender green light. The leaves, resembling green jade, became sharply defined as if etched by a knife, seemingly harboring a profound and enigmatic ultimate truth.

"The power of rebirth!"

Zu Ann, remaining in the Marsh, involuntarily inhaled deeply.

Simultaneously.

Deep within the Land of Terror, a towering white skeletal form silently emerged.

"God of Ghosts White Bone!"

Zu Ann's Lunar Spirit was startled, glancing over the Land of Terror from within the Sunfeather Glade.

"Bring that tree to me!"

The remnant soul of White Bone pierced through the void, reaching Zu Ann's Lunar Spirit and the Magic Tree, "The exalted one from Shadow's Keep has awoken from his profound slumber, all because of this Magic Tree."

Zu Ann was profoundly moved.

"We must act quickly. I'll go ahead and return later."

After his Lunar Spirit, Zu Ann's real body entered the Mirror of Fates and instantly reached the Sunfeather Glade. With the mirror, he bore through the earth, taking the Magic Tree with him as he made his way directly to the Land of Terror.

Back in the Marsh, Ape, having set aside his smoke tube, gazed at the Songbird demon soul within the Nest of Perdition, "What exactly is that tree?"

"My guess is that it's the third nest of the secular bird."

The Songbird, not daring to conceal anything, timidly shared its thoughts.

"The Rebirth Nest."

Untamed nodded subtly, instantly grasping the sequence of events and the myriad secrets they concealed.

"So it is. The sought-after Rebirth Nest, which many believe could resurrect the secular bird, isn't located extraterrestrially but within the Everlands itself."

"No wonder, no wonder."

Ape chuckled, a raspy sound as if his throat were slashed, "Fascinating, truly fascinating! Not even the God of Ghosts would have guessed that the primary Rebirth Nest would manifest in the Everlands! Ha, the old Dark Phoenix has also been scouring the extraterrestrial Star River for the third nest of the secular bird. Little does she know, what she seeks has always been right beneath her eyes!"

A hundred thousand years ago, the Dark Phoenix was besieged and nearly annihilated in the Annihilation Nebula by the peak tenth-level warriors of various Otherkin tribes. She was the nemesis of all Dark Phoenixes.

The harbinger of doom and death, this World Ender Bird, was the common foe of all factions. Whether it was the Otherkin warriors or the vast Dark Deities of the Everlands, they all wished for her demise at the earliest opportunity.

Their wishes were ultimately fulfilled.

"I understand now."

The Ape trembled with realization.

Within the Nest of Perdition, the spirited body of the Songbird, sensing the odd stirrings of the Magic Tree and hearing the Ape's soliloquy, beat its wings furiously and shrieked, "So that's what it is! So that's what it is!"

...

On the Primal Blood Continent.

Chen Qinghuang, whose beauty seemed ethereal, rested her hand on Yu Yuan's shoulder and whispered, "I'll take care of it."

"What?" Yu Yuan responded, taken aback.

"I'll handle it," Chen Qinghuang reassured in a gentle tone.

Tan Junshan, Yu Yiyi, and Yu Zhu all wore expressions as if they were looking at a fool.

"Since the Dragon Slaying Stage is also known as the World-Sundering Stone, let's harness its power later to help us break through the heavens."
