C1197 New Method!
Denise's castle stood proudly on the Lower Continent.
The Voidfarer, once quietly resting in the plaza, now abruptly ascended into the sky.
Behind the large transparent crystal at the front of the ship, Dogget, a towering figure, was breaking out in a cold sweat as he watched the four radiant beams pierce through the wall and enter this realm.
Anxiety filled his heart; he feared for Denise's safety and that the general's wrath might extend to his kin.
"Sir!"
The warriors standing behind him, each possessing the seventh-level bloodline of the Starborn, were visibly on edge.
These individuals, tasked with safeguarding Denise, knew that their own families, residing in the world governed by her father, would face peril if any harm befell her.
In the corner, Mi Ting of the Shadowkin was so overwhelmed that she was unable to utter a word.
She, too, understood the gravity of the situation.
"We must inform the general immediately!"
One particularly timid Starborn warrior stepped forward, his voice laced with urgency.
Dogget inhaled deeply, realizing it was too late to alert the general.
Suddenly, a radiant orb within the pendant around his neck released a clear message.
Dogget paused, taken aback.
This orb was nothing more than the eyeball of a seventh-level Starbeast, encased in a specialized device that enabled the transmission of messages among the Starborn and their clansmen.
The Starborn domesticated Starbeasts precisely for this unique ability of their eyes.
Only the Starborn could use their distinct bloodline talents and infuse their vitality to communicate with one another.
"Your Highness, the four Solar Spirits from the Human Race are guests she invited!" Dogget announced after scratching his head. He signaled for silence to the warriors behind him, then channeled a thread of vital energy through his mystique to seek confirmation from Denise.
Once he received her response, Dogget's tension eased. He chided them, "There's no need for panic! Relay the message to the Moonlit Wanderers, Shadowkin, and enchantress leaders to remain calm. Take note, the Everlands have changed completely from what they once were!"
"Oh," came the half-convinced reply from the Starborn warriors.
...
The four descending beams of light slowly diminished their overwhelming spiritual energy and expanded the reach of their remnant soul perception.
Otherkin inhabit this region. I've spotted members of the Moonlit Wanderers and the Shadowkin. Hmm, their bloodline levels aren't particularly high, indicating they're not from a high-level Domain.
Rong Xun's Soul Power transformed into delicate sparks of electricity that scattered in every direction.
In an instant, the sparks filled a hundred-mile radius, meticulously surveying the concealed Otherkin villages, their inhabitants, and their bloodline levels.
Xie Bin called forth the Glacial Storm Seal.
Clutching the mystical, icy seal, he gazed down at the forbidden area, silently reciting an incantation.
Threads of remnant soul intertwined with the Stormclap Circle etched into the Glacial Storm Seal, conjuring a spell that harnessed the heavens' lightning. This caused the thunder vortexes dispersed across the forbidden area to surge skyward.
Whoosh! The sound of the vortexes filled the air.
The thunder vortexes were effortlessly devoured by the magnified Glacial Storm Seal.
In the sky above the forbidden area, the Glacial Storm Seal expanded a hundredfold, casting out bursts of psionic power.
"There's a barrier of light forged by the Starborn."
Han Dan, a Starmoon Sect Solar Spirit Body with only her left arm remaining, held three talismans aglow with starlight, each inscribed with starry arcane symbols, and cast them down toward the forbidden area.
The talismans swelled in the wind, morphing into three vast nebulae.
The nebulae plummeted!
The barrier that had been shielding the forbidden area, crafted by Denise's father and the Starborn sages, was abruptly breached, creating three large openings.
"Han Dan, this isn't proper!" Rong Xun frowned and voiced his disapproval, "I told you when we descended that we can't continue to act in the Otherkin's little world as we did before!"
"I haven't slaughtered any Otherkin," Han Dan protested, feeling wronged.
"Destroying someone's barrier is also unacceptable!" Rong Xun scolded, then turned to Xie Bin with a stern face, "You should also exercise restraint. If those thunder vortexes are the property of the Starborn, it's impolite to harvest them without prior notice."
In their past endeavors beyond our world, Han Dan and Xie Bin had been notably merciless in their dealings with the Otherkin.
They had long been accustomed to their old ways, and adapting to change was proving to be a challenge.
"Sect Master, I acted too hastily," Xie Bin quickly acknowledged. "However, these thunder vortexes, to my understanding, were not formed by the convergence of Otherkin."
As he spoke, the Glacial Storm Seal he wielded shimmered with a radiant layer of frost.
In the forbidden area, where no alien beast or Fellbeast dared to linger, the soil was upheaved by the frigid spiritual energy, uncovering gleaming refined iron.
Etched upon the refined iron were patterns of lightning, thunderclouds, and a myriad of bizarre runes.
"This..."
Rong Xun gazed intently and was momentarily speechless.
"It's unmistakably the work of the Thunderzenith Sect. One doesn't have to think twice to know that cultivators from there have been here before, leaving behind the Stormclap Circle. It's these circles that spawned the thunder vortexes, drawing in the lightning." Xie Bin began with a laugh, but when he caught sight of the lightning sables and some Lunarphite, his laughter ceased.
The rest of the group, recognizing the familiar Fellbeasts startled by the lightning, came to an abrupt halt.
The four Solar Spirits hung motionless in the void.
Like Yu Yuan before them, they too were deep in thought, mired in confusion.
"There are two individuals from the Starborn and Shadowkin down there. Let's go ask them."
With that, Rong Xun swiftly descended through a large hole Han Dan had made, landing precisely next to the deep cavern.
Then, his eyes fell upon a human skeleton nearby.
Rong Xun's expression darkened instantly. Only after Xie Bin and the two from the Starmoon Sect had joined him did he exclaim, "There's a human skeleton here, a mortal from the Everlands!"
The four powerful beings who had cultivated the Solar Spirit Body were now facing the same perplexities.
"Where do you come from?"
At that moment, Denise approached Yu Yuan and Chen Qinghuang and inquired of Rong Xun in a halting and unfamiliar human tongue, "This is Zekrica, under the Starborn's domain. We follow the Starfallen Oracle, Beru!"
She chose not to mention Leo but instead spoke of Beru, having heard of his recent visit to the Everlands.
She was also aware that Beru, being older and more knowledgeable, had stronger ties with the Skyreach Consortium and Boulderdawn.
The four Human experts at the Solar Spirit level approached Zekrica with an attitude that differed from what she was accustomed to. Consequently, she deduced they were not aligned with the Five Great Forces.
"Beru..."
Xie Bin and Rong Xun exchanged glances.
Having had the privilege to attend the grand gathering of the Terror Claws, they had indeed encountered the renowned Starfallen Oracle and were aware of Beru's deep connections with the Boulderdawn and Skyreach Consortium.
"Just be cautious and avoid any reckless actions."
Rong Xun shot a warning look at Xie Bin and Han Dan, managing to muster a smile. "Apologies for the intrusion. We're cultivators from the Obsidian Thunder Sect and Starmoon Sect of the Everlands. We stumbled upon this area sensing the convergence of the thunder vortex and decided to harvest some of its lightning energy."
"As for the breach in the wall, I can repair it," Han Dan offered sheepishly.
Denise, on the other hand, was taken aback.
She had never imagined that the infamous and ruthless Humans of the Everlands, known for their relentless pursuit of the Otherkin, could be so amiable.
Her carefully prepared arguments were suddenly redundant, and her recent grasp of the Everlands' language hindered her from conveying her thoughts precisely.
Yu Yuan, observing from the sidelines, could barely contain his amusement.
Chen Qinghuang was unmistakably a Shadowkin. Her enigmatic bloodline, expertly concealed, would go unnoticed unless a tenth-level expert from another race personally investigated.
Yet, for himself...
Yu Yuan was acutely aware that his transformation at the Altar of Rebirth was incomplete, leaving him vulnerable while posing as a Shadowkin.
Ironically, neither Rong Xun nor Xie Bin paid him much attention, neglecting to scrutinize his soul thoroughly.
