C1296 He Did Not Move

Yan Qiling shook his head in a display of helplessness as he shared his discovery.

He informed the group that he had already attempted a secret trial while Chen Qinghuang was asleep.

He was now certain that the entire extraterritorial battlefield had been isolated and sealed off due to the formation of the Origin Gate and the presence of the Voidweaver.

The Starway, constructed by the five great forces of the Everlands, was rendered inoperable.

Even the secret passages controlled by the Otherkin were restricted.

The notion of using the peculiarities of space to instantly escape from the shattered Astral Domain was nothing short of a fantasy.

"So, are you saying that to leave Brugeth, we're left with only the most primitive method?" Yu Yuan pondered aloud, stroking his chin.

"Indeed, that's our only option."

As Yan Qiling responded, he maneuvered the Lunar Meteorite he was piloting to change course, no longer aiming for the Spirit World.

He turned back to take a deep look at the slumbering queen and proposed, "Yu Yuan, I understand you want to wait for her to awaken before deciding. How about we postpone our trip to the Spirit World? We can discuss our next steps after she comes to. Does that sound reasonable?"

Yu Yuan nodded in agreement.

"If the Spirit World is so perilous, master, why must we go there?" Yu Yiyi inquired.

"She has saved me multiple times," Yu Yuan explained, settling beside the empress. "Without her intervention, I would likely be in the Spirit World right now, possibly underground, facing a joint assault from Diggs and Pei Yuling."

Yu Yiyi held her peace.

"Mr. Yan, can the Voidweaver possess the beings it creates? I was momentarily distracted earlier because I encountered a woman I know. Her name is Benin, a member of the Sylph race. Back in Ionodios, I believed she had perished in the chaos, yet here she is, miraculously reappearing," Yu Yuan recounted, emphasizing the moment Benin emerged and sharing his suspicions.

"As for beings from the extraterrestrial realms, my knowledge is limited; I'm not sure," Yan Qiling admitted candidly.

"It's possible," interjected Moore of the Frostfiend lineage.

Yu Yuan turned his attention to the elder, who had honed his ice crystal demonform at the Dragon Slaying Stage. Moore spoke plainly, "Given that the entire Sylph race arose from it and embodies its bloodline mysteries, it could easily take possession of the girl known as Benin."

"According to what you've said, it's not just Benin; even Noeyr could have been overtaken by the spiritual wisdom within Ionodios."

"I have another hypothesis..."

Moore paused briefly.

Yu Yuan gave him his full attention.

"It might sound incredible, but it could very well be true."

After a moment of contemplation, Moore spoke earnestly, "All the Voidweaver clansmen you've encountered are capable of extracting memories and subtly spreading their influence. If it takes notice of you, any Voidweaver you've interacted with could become its eyes."

"And its sword!"

"Noeyr, Benin, all the Sylph are the same."

The revelation from the aged Frostfiend sent a shock through Yu Yuan, drastically altering his expression.

If this were true...

Not only Benin, but also Darke and Melissa, whom he encountered in Zekrica, could have been its eyes.

Could it be that any Voidweaver could become its eyes at any given moment, its blade, and this peculiar butterfly, something utterly fearsome?

And when exactly did the butterfly begin to target him?

Was it through Benin?

A flurry of questions overwhelmed Yu Yuan, leaving him struggling to make sense of it all. Yet, Moore's words had profoundly enlightened him to the strength and terror of the Voidweaver.

"We should avoid the Spirit World for now!"

...

In the following days, the group remained stationary, refraining from any further action.

Yu Yuan occasionally sought the wisdom of the old Frostfiend, inquiring about the secrets of the extraterrestrial Otherkin, eager to grasp the wonders of cosmic giant beasts akin to the Voidweaver.

Through Yan Qiling, he learned that the Origin Gates were blossoming across various worlds within the Star River.

The influence of the Origin Deity appeared to be escalating at an astonishing rate.

In moments of quiet, Yu Yuan's soul consciousness would drift through the Dragon Slaying Stage, the Baneblade Bloodhell, and the little world of vitality, thoroughly assessing his combat prowess.

He was particularly focused on the transforming Solar Spirit.

In the little world of vitality, the Solar Spirit, forged from the lifeblood of various races and the blood crystal of the Demon God Grec, was beginning to take on a human form on the Altar of Rebirth.

The figure shimmered like a piece of red jade, its inner light weaving a tapestry of blood, giving it an otherworldly mystique.

He attempted to communicate and discovered that the so-called heaven soul had fused completely with this body.

He sensed that the Solar Spirit wouldn't keep him waiting too long before it could separate from the body and unveil its wonders.

The Baneblade, Bloodhell, seemed to resonate perfectly with his Solar Spirit.

In his mind's eye, he envisioned the Solar Spirit wielding the Baneblade, charging across the lands.

Time passed.

"Starborn!"

Yan Qiling snapped awake, turning to glance behind him before gently placing his crystalline palm on the Lunar Meteorite.

The meteorite burst into a dazzling display of light.

A strand of Yan Qiling's consciousness traveled through the Lunar Meteorite, shooting across vast distances.

"An acquaintance."

His laugh was subdued, and he quickly eased the tension, signaling that there was no need for alarm.

"Who is it?" Yu Yuan inquired.

"You'll meet them shortly," Yan Qiling replied, smiling.

Soon after, three Starborn emerged before Yu Yuan's eyes.

Beru, Leo, and Denise.

"Mr. Yan, Yu, Yu Yuan!"

Starfallen Oracle Beru's excitement was palpable upon seeing Yu Yuan.

His smile stiffened slightly when he saw Chen Qinghuang, but he remained cautious and approached her at a measured pace.

The noble Denise beamed with joy, waving enthusiastically from a distance.

Leo, too, greeted them with a warm smile.

Yu Yuan, taken aback, nodded to Beru and Denise. Noticing the change in Leo's aura, he exclaimed, "Your bloodline has advanced?"

"Indeed, it happened in Kuvrepros, after the final battle, leading to a significant evolution of my bloodline," Leo said, his smile radiant.

"And the outcome there?" Yu Yuan asked.

"Fu Xuanwen is dead, the Rod of Heavenly Justice has been destroyed, and many Solar Spirits from the Everlands have fallen by our hands," Beru reported, devoid of any pride.

He believed that with Patriarch Ballo's presence and the support of more Starborn warriors, such results were to be expected.

"Yu Yuan, there's something important I need to discuss with you about Zekrica..."

Beru glanced at Denise as he spoke.

Denise's expression was somber.

"What's wrong?" Yu Yuan exclaimed in alarm.

Was it possible that the Blood King had conquered the Zekrica and once again suppressed the Divine Sword in the Dark Realm, the enigmatic place crafted by Nie Qingtian?

"The Zekrica has vanished," Beru said with a wry smile.

"Vanished?!" Yu Yuan's complexion turned ashen.

"Yes."

Beru's gaze was complex, clearly at a loss as well. "Just as it once suddenly emerged in the Kuvrepros, it has now mysteriously disappeared. All the beings that lived in the Zekrica have vanished along with it."

Yu Yuan immediately thought of the Voidweaver.

A few Voidweavers still resided in the Zekrica. Moore had claimed that the butterfly could transform any Voidweaver into its eyes, turning them into its blades.

Could the Voidweaver know the whereabouts of the Zekrica?

"Why have you come here? Did the leader of the Starborn come with you?" Yan Qiling asked, full of hope.

"No."

Leo and Beru answered together.

Ballo, as the leader of his people, had too many responsibilities. After resolving the issues in the Kuvrepros, he departed with his core team.

Gheirat was tasked with managing the aftermath of the turmoil in the Kuvrepros, dealing with the chaos wrought by Xu Jingyao and others.

Beru had brought Leo to the fractured Brugeth to assist him in solidifying his ninth-level bloodline.

He wanted Leo to witness firsthand what becomes of an Astral Domain after its destruction.

He also sought to impress upon him that many stars could likewise be obliterated by war.

Moreover, in the depths of the fractured Brugeth, there were numerous core crystals.

With Leo's unique Altar of Rebirth, he could collect and assimilate them deep into his bloodline.

Denise, having broken through in her bloodline and due to her connection with Gheirat, was also brought along to experience the sight.

"Where's Elena?"

Denise scanned the area but did not see the Shura girl, prompting her to inquire softly.

Then, she casually glanced at Chen Qinghuang, who had reverted to her original form, and remarked, "Such a beautiful sister. I never imagined I'd have the chance to see the legend with my own eyes."

She wasn't foolish; she recognized that the exquisitely beautiful woman asleep before her was the Shadowkin girl whom Yu Yuan had referred to as his sister back in Zekrica—the one known as the legendary secular bird.

"Elena must have gone back to the Astral Domain her father once ruled. There's no need for concern," Yu Yuan said, inhaling deeply. "Now that you're here, you'd better start worrying about yourselves. The Spirit World is awakening, and Diggs is stirring up trouble once again."

"Diggs!" Beru exclaimed in disbelief. "I thought he was dead?"

"He's been resurrected, likely by Pei Yuling's doing, returning from the enigmatic Origin Realm," Yu Yuan replied gravely.

"Diggs! The Origin Realm!"

Beru's face drained of color, his composure clearly shattered. He seemed to be privy to a wealth of confidential information.

"Diggs and I go way back. In our youth, we battled alongside the humans in the Everlands. I never imagined I'd have the chance to encounter him again. Yet, I have no desire to meet him—I wish he hadn't survived!"

"You know him?" Yan Qiling asked, astounded.

"Yes, I know him well," Beru affirmed, casting a glance at Moore.

"Honored to meet you, Great Sage."

An elder Frostfiend bowed respectfully to Beru, humbly addressing himself as the junior.
