C1338 She Was Looking for You!

Ciara's revelation made Yu Yuan acutely aware that she had already been in contact with Sabonis through the Frost Well.

A bitter smile crossed Yu Yuan's face as he grappled with whether to feel relief or dread.

It was clear that his movements within the Glimmerdrift Nebula were now laid bare before the Blood King.

Ciara's insistence on obeying the snow bear's directives essentially meant he was to trail behind the creature, keeping a watchful eye on him.

With Ciara present, and the Frost Well at hand, it was as though the Blood King himself was there.

The thought of the Blood King Sabonis potentially emerging from the well at any moment left Yu Yuan with a lump in his throat, yet he was powerless to change his situation.

Was his survival merely due to the upheaval in Brugeth and some unknown malevolence?

After some contemplation, Yu Yuan surmised that even Sabonis harbored deep-seated anxiety and wariness towards the enigmatic Origin Deity.

Perhaps Sabonis sought to use him to gain a deeper understanding of the Origin Deity, to discern the truth of his words. As the leader of the Shura, Sabonis surely had means to seek confirmation.

He might, for instance, send someone to Darkpinion to inquire with the Wingkind elders about the appearances of Chen Qinghuang and Brie.

Alternatively, he could reach out directly to the Demon God Bertain!

Bertain, with his immortal life, stood as the mightiest among the extraterrestrial beings.

Once Brie returned to Darkpinion and engaged with the confidants of the Shadowkin, he would undoubtedly relay the existence of the Origin Deity to this supreme extraterrestrial entity, alerting Bertain to the matter.

Sabonis certainly had the channels to communicate with Bertain and would swiftly uncover the truth.

"I understand. I will make the most of my life."

Yu Yuan offered a wry smile to the Shura elder before him.

Shura, snow bear...

His gaze suddenly took on a probing quality as he observed Ciara and the robust bear, now in recovery, noting no resemblance between the two.

He mused on the Silverscale Tribe and the Abyssal Winged Lizard, both descendants of the Abyssal Greater Basilisk, which allowed the Abyssal Winged Lizard free passage within the Silverscale Tribe's Astral Domain.

Both the Silverscale Tribe and the Abyssal Winged Lizard shared an affinity for the sea and bore similar scales.

The Grey Goose and the Wingkind were brought into existence by the secular bird, while the Shadowkin correspond to the Uxthar Tree. The Voidweaver, naturally, is linked to the divine butterfly.

Yu Yuan pondered whether the snow bear and the Shura shared a common bloodline source, perhaps descending from a single ancestor. Yet, he could not conjure up any cosmic giant beast that fit the traits of both the Shura and the snow bear. He also had the distinct impression that the Shura and the snow bear did not share the same species origin. But then, why did the snow bear show such concern for the Shura? It was a mystery to him.

"Kid, you're not to leave this place until it has fully recovered!" Ciara sternly warned him at that moment, making it clear that he was not to wander off.

Yu Yuan, nonchalant, shrugged his shoulders and steered the Dragon Slaying Stage away from Ciara's domain. Since the snow bear was in the midst of recovery and couldn't leave anytime soon, and Ciara was powerless to stop him, he took the opportunity to further explore the wonders of the Dragon Slaying Stage in the frigid expanse.

Following the transformation of the Dragon Slaying Stage, he experimented with its two new features. The first one, in particular, allowed the Dragon Slaying Stage to act as an Eye of the Extraterrestrial, astonishingly capturing even the subtlest changes in the external starry sky.

In the subsequent days, he delved deeper into his studies and experiments. Ultimately, he realized that the Dragon Slaying Stage truly possessed only those two magical attributes and lacked the multitude of extraordinary abilities he had anticipated, the kind that could command the heavens and penetrate the earth.

Disappointed, Yu Yuan casually chose a pristine snowy mountain for his cultivation practice. Time flew by swiftly.

At one point, while contemplating whether the Soul Forging through Enlightenment could be integrated with the Dragon Slaying Stage, he suddenly perceived an intense surge of flame energy within the Golden Sanctum's little world, and the spiritual energy within the elixir field showed signs of spiraling out of control. He thus initiated the Nine Glories Wheel.

Nine fiery orbs, akin to miniature suns, orbited the Golden Sanctum acupoints, casting a spectrum of light like celestial rainbows. Observing through the Lunar Spirit, he noticed sporadic taints of murky blood light from the vitality's little world, dripping down from the middle elixir field.

Impurities had infiltrated the Golden Sanctum, the source of his spiritual energy, causing it to become tainted. This contamination resulted in swelling and pain in his acupoints whenever he activated the "Nine Glories Wheel."

"Purify!"

Inhaling the frigid air deeply, he sat atop the snowy mountain peak and once again silently engaged the "Nine Glories Wheel."

He soon realized that the fiery orbs, as blazing as the sun, could not be sustained for long. The intense ice energy of the Frozen Wastes was detrimental to his practice of the "Nine Glories Wheel."

Cold and heat, ice and fire, were natural adversaries.

Occasionally, a hot, oppressive, and violent aura would emanate from his transforming vitality, on the verge of fully manifesting into the Solar Spirit. This noxious aura stirred the impurities settled in his bones, which then descended into his vitality's little world.

Whoosh!

As Yu Yuan pondered with a furrowed brow, Ciara stood over the Frost Well, having located it from the distant deep sea.

Clearing his mind of distractions, Yu Yuan feigned surprise, "Is it resolved?"

"No further infusion of vitality is necessary for what comes next." Ciara's expression was stern, betraying her foul mood, "That Stardust Blade has really stirred up trouble in the Glimmerdrift Nebula!"

Her irritation, it turned out, was due to Ji Ningshuang!

"What happened?" Yu Yuan inquired, maintaining his composure.

"Owing to the peculiar shifts in Brugeth, six individuals of ninth-level bloodline like myself have arrived, aside from the Grand Marshal. Three of them, upon learning of the Stardust Blade's arrival through me, have banded together to confront her."

Yu Yuan's frown deepened as he listened intently, his concern growing.

Could Ji Ningshuang handle three ninth-level Shura warriors united against her?

Ciara paused, her expression darkening further, "Unexpectedly, her swordsmanship has been honed to perfection after her trials in the Dark Star. I believe her true combat strength now surpasses Du Yuan's! She might well be the current third-ranking Grand Sword Immortal of the Sword Sect, trailing only the two venerable primordial spirits."

Yu Yuan's expression was electrified.

The information Ciara had disclosed left him in awe and filled with pride!

Three hundred years on, that young woman had acquired such fearsome combat prowess!

"Three of them set out, two got injured, and one didn't even get close!"

Ciara inhaled deeply, her gaze turning icy, "At least we've ascertained one thing. She's searching for the snow bear, or more accurately, she's here for you!"

Yu Yuan's eyes sparkled with realization.

Indeed, he had suspected as much ever since he learned that Ji Ningshuang had surfaced in the Glimmerdrift Nebula.

But he hadn't dared to be certain.

Ciara's words provided him with a definitive answer.

It turned out that the Stardust Blade, which had come to the Everlands in defiance of the established rules, had indeed come for him.

Because Yu Yuan was right here in the Glimmerdrift Nebula!

Ji Ningshuang must have learned of this somehow and thus charged in recklessly!

"Is she alright?"

This thought made Yu Yuan anxious; he feared she might suffer at the hands of the Shura in the Glimmerdrift Nebula.

After all, the Grand Marshal Alonso was currently presiding over this Astral Domain.

"She's safe for now, but who can say about later?"

Ciara's face was a mask of displeasure, "The Grand Commander has also begun to take notice of her, keeping an eye on her movements. Yu Yuan, I came to you to find out one thing—why did she come all this way for you?"

It was clear to Ciara that Ji Ningshuang had never had dealings with the snow bear; she had come for Yu Yuan.

But one was from Boulderdawn and the other from the Sword Sect; weren't they supposed to be at odds?

She recalled Yu Yuan's earlier assertion that the Stardust Blade would be an asset to him and help him against her, and he had been so certain.

"It's hardly a secret. If you knew me better, you'd understand," Yu Yuan said, his eyes narrowing. His focus abruptly shifted to the distant deep sea, his face turning grave, "It's gone down again!"

Ciara's expression darkened in response.
