C1341 The Sword Light Moved!

In the Firefly Starfield, the nearest to the shimmering river of sword light, lay a desolate ice plain. Here, battleships of the Asura Clan were moored amidst the ruins of crumbled stone palaces, their fractured walls bearing the mottled marks of time.

Atop a spire that had managed to remain mostly intact stood a tall figure—Alonso. With his striking looks and a somewhat delicate demeanor, Alonso was the esteemed commander of the Asura Clan, a Tenth Level Bloodline Warrior. He was not a native of the Dark Domain but rather a new generation Asura, born from the clan's expansion beyond their original borders.

Having only recently ascended to the Tenth Rank of Bloodline Warriors, Alonso had plenty of life ahead of him and felt no rush. At this moment, enshrouded in a snow-white cloak, he stood atop the pointed tower, lost in contemplation of the nearby river of sword light—a legacy of Nie Qingtian.

Human experts who attained the Primordial Spirit Stage ceased to age and would not die naturally. Thus, Nie Qingtian had lived far longer than Alonso. As the Asura commander, Alonso was but a newcomer, having never truly encountered the legendary Optimus Sword.

"How formidable," Alonso mused. "After all this time, the sword's power and intent remain fearsome." His reverie was interrupted by the approach of Demian, the keeper of the "Blood Boiling War Drum," speeding across the ice plain from afar.

Many Asura Warriors of the Eighth and Seventh Levels were growing restless on the ice plain.

"Commander!" Demian called out upon arrival, bowing respectfully before delivering his report. "Ciara has relayed a message to our king. She's learned that Yu Yuan of the Human race, along with the Secular Bird, have traveled from the Illusion Starfield to the Deep Starfield. Their movements suggest a close alliance—they appear and vanish together."

Alonso nodded, signaling Demian to cut to the chase.

Ciara, bearer of the Frost Well, could reach out to Sabonis, the Asura patriarch, from any location, ensuring the lines of communication within the clan remained open.

Demian, a native Asura born in the Dark Domain, had earned Sabonis's deep trust and esteem.

He possessed the "Blood Boiling War Drum," which allowed him to heed the directives of Sabonis.

"The conflict in the Deep Starfield has concluded. In the frigid expanse known as Impasse Land, near the Cold Abyss Entrance, the Violent Bear suffered injuries from the Sword Sect's Earth Sword. Yet, after receiving treatment from Yu Yuan, the bear has recuperated and launched a counteroffensive."

"Our forces continue to pursue Jee Ningshuang, wielder of the Starfrost Sword. Ciara has learned that the Great Sword Immortal shares a significant connection with Yu Yuan."

"Moreover, Yu Yuan is in the midst of refining his Yang God, and the Violent Bear appears to be protecting him, having driven Ciara away."

"..."

Demian was unable to communicate with Ciara directly; they had to go through the Dark Domain, relying on the Asura King, Sabonis.

Sabonis was the keeper of knowledge regarding the Dark Domain's Frost Well and the high-tier Platinum Asura relic, the "Blood Boiling War Drum."

Demian, hailing from the Dark Domain, meticulously relayed the newly acquired intelligence.

Alonso listened with great focus, nodding frequently.

After some contemplation, he inquired, "What is the Patriarch's stance?"

"The Patriarch believes that since the Origin Realm God has vanished and both the Void Spirit Succubus and the Fallen Divine Tree have departed, there's no need for an extended stay in the Firefly Starfield."

Demian, his head bowed, continued, "Regarding the Starfrost Sword and Yu Yuan of the human race, you're to use your discretion in dealing with them."

"Yu Yuan has been a benefactor to Fernand and even rescued Elena. Alas, it's unfortunate that he is the heir to Nie Qingtian," Alonso said, his gaze drifting over the interwoven streams of sword light, his eyes reflecting a mix of emotions.

As the grand marshal of the Asura Clan, he was responsible for orchestrating the movements of various legions in battles against humans and other races.

Fernand was once his most reliable assistant and confidant.

Alonso had met Elena when she was just a child, recognizing her exceptional talent and predicting that she might one day surpass Fernand to become a Dark Domain Asura warrior.

Elena lived up to his expectations; her bloodline had ascended to the Eighth Level, and she had formally begun her training in the Dark Domain.

"Ciara believes that Yu Yuan poses a significant future threat to us, given that he has inherited Nie Qingtian's legacy and wields the formidable Dragon Slash Platform. Yet, he still hasn't advanced to the Yang God Stage," Demian reported, his head still lowered.

"Stupid."

Alonso shook his head and let out a cold snort.

Demian didn't dare to argue, keeping his gaze lowered.

"That kid has earned the trust of the Secular Bird. You mentioned that in the Illusion Starfield, the Secular Bird was always by his side," Alonso said, his expression growing somber. "Setting aside the issues between the Divine Soul Sect and our leader for now, we should avoid stirring up too much trouble at this time. If the Origin Realm God is indeed as mysterious and fearsome as they say, we should first ascertain his origins."

"I'll follow your lead."

...

Boom!

The colossal Cold Domain Bear burst through the realm barrier, charging out from the frigid world.

Standing nearly two thousand meters tall, it was still minuscule compared to the dense, fog-enshrouded stars, insignificant as a grain of dust.

Yet upon its arrival, facing the direction of the river of sword light, it seemed to awaken its bloodline.

Beneath its skin, the delicate Bloodline Crystal Chains began to shimmer brightly.

As if the principles of extreme cold were realigning, they started to reveal their mystical nature.

"Uh!"

Ciara, standing guard outside, couldn't help but gasp as she sensed the fluctuation of its blood.

She watched it intently, unblinking.

She noticed its gaze was fixed on the distant, dazzling rivers of light.

The enchanting fireflies appeared to have been called forth by its bloodline.

Ciara stood dumbfounded for a moment before her pupils dilated and she let out a sharp cry.

Millions of miles away, the splendid spectacle of the Firefly Starfield, shrouded in cold mist, was something the Asura King had forbidden the Asura Clan from approaching. Yet now, it seemed to be moving ever so slowly.

Like true rivers of light, they were meandering towards a deep ocean.

"Here!"

Even Ciara, who was slow to grasp the situation, now understood what was happening.

The rivers of sword light, which had been still since she could remember, were now in motion. Whether triggered by the vibration of the Violent Bear's bloodline or by the sword light river itself, the luminous rivers were slowly drawing nearer from their distant origin.

To her, their movement seemed slow only because of the vast distance from her position.

But she knew, in reality, the river of sword light must be moving incredibly fast!

The Violent Bear thumped its chest and stomped its feet, its face alight with an excited and proud grin.

It seemed to believe that its ability to stir the cold mist and the rivers of sword light with its bloodline was an extraordinary and grand feat.

"Commander!"

On the desolate ice plains near the warship, the Asura Clan warriors began to howl.

Demian, along with two Ninth Level Platinum Asuras, gazed up at Alonso atop the spire, each voicing their innermost thoughts.

What they didn't realize was that Alonso was even more astonished than they were!

He was acutely aware of the terrifying power of the sword light river, its origins, and why it had never dissipated.

The fact that the eternally static sword light river had suddenly stirred sent waves of shock through him.

Boom!

The interwoven sword light river collided with a lifeless realm star not far from them, causing it to collapse and shatter in an instant.

The star transformed into a myriad of tiny meteors, drifting through the void.

...

In another part of the Firefly Starfield.

A sword light, trailing a long, radiant tail, effortlessly broke free from the encirclement of three Platinum Asuras.

In just a moment, it had dashed a thousand miles away.

Jee Ningshuang, sword in hand, stood atop a fragment of a warship, her expression one of profound shock.

She was astonished to witness the destructive sword intent emanating from the peculiar fireflies shrouded in the cold mist.

This sword intent was exclusive to the secret texts of the Sword Sect.

The person associated with it was a forbidden subject within the Sword Sect, never to be spoken of.

"The Firefly Starfield still harbors his sword intent and power!"

After her initial shock subsided, Jee Ningshuang quickly realized why Yu Yuan had appeared in the Asura Clan's starry sea and why he had taken such a risk.
