C1369 Surviving with Difficulty

The Abyssal Leviathan, far more massive than anything in the real Domain, roamed the Glimmerdrift Nebula with impunity.

It captivated the attention of all the visitors, bringing the ongoing battle to a halt.

Having escaped the vast seals of the Everlands and surged into the extraterrestrial Star River, the Abyssal Leviathan bared its razor-sharp fangs for the first time, fully displaying its savage thirst for blood.

While it had previously lingered in the outer reaches of Ionodios, its power had not yet been restored. With Grec and Sabonis present and wary of Boulderdawn, it had been considerably restrained.

Back then, it had merely taken the opportunity to slaughter numerous elite warriors from various races in the outer Star River.

But now, in its primal form, it effortlessly obliterated two Frozen Worlds, causing numerous Voidfarers and platinum Shuras to shatter.

At this moment, the Abyssal Leviathan was truly in its element.

Inside the Dragon Slaying Stage, Yu Yuan's Lunar Spirit sensed the sword light emanating from the depths of the River of Swords with a grave expression.

He could harness the sword light forged by the Nine Celestial Slashes, but without the true Titanblade and the sword spirit, and not wielding the sword with his real body, Yu Yuan was powerless to display Nie Qingtian's formidable sword might and unable to wound the Abyssal Leviathan.

He wracked his brain, searching for a way to halt the Abyssal Leviathan's rampage.

He needed to corner the Abyssal Leviathan, preventing it from entering the Frozen Wastes and buying time to breathe the moment the Solar Spirit took form.

"Abyssal Leviathan!"

Alonso, wielding his silver lance, concentrated his vital energy, transforming into a blinding snow-white bolt of lightning that pierced through time and space, charging from the positions of Jun Chen, Tian Zang, and the Death Crane.

The brilliance of the snow-white lightning seemed woven from myriad silver bloodline chains.

The essence of rules and the resonant murmurs of the Way of Heaven echoed faintly within.

"You're still too young, Alonso," taunted the Abyssal Leviathan, now in the guise of a colossal fish, as it suddenly expelled an ice-blue river from its gaping maw.

From within the icy blue river, countless small stones burst forth, and from one of these stones emerged towering totem poles belonging to the evilkind.

In an instant, thirty-six totem poles arranged themselves into a formation, unleashing a powerful suction force.

Alonso, wielding his silver lance and accompanied by the thunderous roar of the Way of Heaven, was engulfed by the Starborne Ritual of Primeval Demons before he could even approach the Abyssal Leviathan.

The totem poles, piercing the void, held only a fraction of their original demon energy, insufficient to unleash their full terrifying power.

Yet, the one now commanding the Starborne Ritual of Primeval Demons was not Lin Zhuyun, but the Abyssal Leviathan itself!

The ice-blue river transformed abruptly into the Embers Sea.

The waters of the Embers Sea appeared to be the concentrated vital energy of the Abyssal Leviathan. The thirty-six totem poles, rooted within the Embers Sea, seemed to draw strength from the depths, amassing psionic power.

A profound, immense, and enigmatic aura permeated the Starborne Ritual of Primeval Demons, momentarily ensnaring Alonso.

"Had Sabonis not inflicted such severe injuries upon me in Ionodios, I would never have dared to act so recklessly in the Glimmerdrift Nebula," the Abyssal Leviathan's voice echoed from its one red and one silver eye, audible to all.

Far away in the Frozen World, Ciara, connected to the Dark Realm through the Frost Well, experienced a sudden, excruciating headache upon hearing the Abyssal Leviathan speak.

The Abyssal Leviathan's malevolent power invaded Ciara's soul, throwing her thoughts into disarray.

Her eyes, once those of a Platinum Shura, now mirrored the Abyssal Leviathan's own—one red, one silver—as if she had become a devotee.

Her devotion to the Blood King and her steadfast faith were swayed by the Abyssal Leviathan, disrupting her secret connection with the Frost Well.

"Sabonis, the Blood King, has lived long and grown strong. If he were at his peak, I would hesitate to provoke him, to engage in a fight to the death," the Abyssal Leviathan mused.

"But alas..."

The Abyssal Leviathan gazed upon the Shura commander, bound by the Starborne Ritual of Primeval Demons. "It's a pity he needs time to heal; his presence here would be futile. And you, having only recently ascended to a tenth level warrior, lack a bloodline refined over millennia. You cannot possibly instill fear in me."

Whoosh!

Amidst the hazy starlight and flashes of lightning, the Abyssal Leviathan once again assumed the form of a gaunt old man, towering thousands of meters high.

It was as though a Human Race cultivator at the Unbound Stage had manifested a Divine Visage, with dragons of water seemingly writhing within his sleeves.

"Yu, I've nurtured you for this very moment!" the Abyssal Leviathan sneered menacingly. "Those who wish to live, stay away. Anyone who dares to thwart my plans will meet their end."

His gaze fixed on Jun Chen and the Ghost King, Tian Zang.

He then approached the snow bear, dwarfing it with his immense stature.

Looking down at the bear, he declared, "You can't prevent me from taking what I desire. Your resistance is futile."

With a casual gesture, he tore at the fabric of space.

Rip!

The wall of the star domain beneath the snow bear, concealing the Wintermaw, was shredded, unraveling into a tapestry of silver-white light.

Within it, Yu Yuan, seated atop a snowy peak, came into sharp focus.

The assembled experts nearby could all see Yu Yuan, who, amidst a fierce inferno, remained intently focused on refining his Solar Spirit.

Rip! Rip! Rip!

The snow bear unleashed sword lights, while Yu Yuan's Lunar Spirit propelled them, flying from the River of Swords to strike at the Abyssal Leviathan.

The human-shaped Leviathan nonchalantly waved his hand.

The sword lights burst into a deluge, falling upon the Silent Star River around him, yet failing to inflict the slightest harm.

With a thunderous roar, the snow bear known in the Everlands as the "Dire Bear" bellowed, pounding its chest and fearlessly confronting the Abyssal Leviathan in his guise as a withered old man.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Its movement set the entire Glimmerdrift Nebula into a violent tremor, as if the stars and domains themselves were echoing its fury.

The bear's form swelled more than tenfold, nearly bursting with unleashed vital energy and raw power.

Embracing the Abyssal Leviathan, its formidable teeth snapped shut, while its massive paws sent a barrage of ice lights, spikes, and ice shards crashing down upon the Abyssal Leviathan.

In a fleeting moment, the Abyssal Leviathan reverted to its colossal fish form, engaging in a ferocious battle. The surrounding space collapsed as countless bolts of lightning erupted, unleashing a mighty force capable of obliterating the heavens and earth, scattering in all directions. This cataclysmic energy caused nearby Shura who dared approach to burst apart.

The clash of bloodlines aligned with the cosmic order was so potent that it could effortlessly pulverize worlds. The razor-sharp fins of the Abyssal Leviathan and the raw strength of the Dire Bear manifested repeatedly in their struggle.

Boom!

On the fringes of the Glimmerdrift Nebula, stars within domains devoid of Shura life began to detonate one by one, fragmenting into innumerable shards of rock.

It seemed as though the destruction of this part of the universe was due to its energies, psionic powers, and the latent rules of the entire cosmos being violently extracted to combat the formidable Abyssal Leviathan.

Engulfing the entire Glimmerdrift Nebula, it waged war against the Abyssal Leviathan. First, the worlds without Shura or alien beasts crumbled, followed by those with alien beasts and insects. Each fell to ruin amidst the frenzy of battle.

The Glimmerdrift Nebula, locked in fierce combat with the Abyssal Leviathan, was now drawing closer to the Brugeth Nebula. Star after star, world after world, all were shattered and extinguished.

The ultimate outcome was a vast Astral Domain devoid of intact stars, where all intelligent life that once thrived would be extinguished due to this conflict.

"Jun Chen, Yu Yuan must be saved," Tian Zang, the Ghost King, declared solemnly from atop the azure crystal altar, his gaze heavy upon the stars now stripped of their protective wall.

The Skyreach Consortium's premier counselor and the Death Crane were unaware of Yu Yuan's true origins, which had caused their earlier hesitation.

But now, with Tian Zang's emphatic declaration, Jun Chen nodded slightly and affirmed, "I will do my utmost."

"I'll lead the way!" Zhou You had been waiting for Jun Chen's nod, ready to open the spatial passage at his word.

"Ah!" Tian Zang suddenly exclaimed in alarm.

All eyes, previously fixated on the Frozen Wastes, watched as the stars, bereft of their wall, burst forth with a blinding silver-white radiance that was impossible to gaze upon directly.

Then, space underwent a violent distortion, and the stars concealed within the "Wintermaw" emerged on the opposite side. They materialized in the starry expanse where the River of Swords and the Dragon Slaying Stage stood. "..."
