C137 !
Four Dawn Arrows materialized one after another before Qin Yun.
With a pained expression, Qin Yun summoned a wisp of his spirit from between his eyebrows, blending it with a stream of pure vitality from his chest, each merging into a Dawn Arrow.
Deep within the spirit and vitality lay the Blood Oath he had forged.
The oath, sealed with blood, was branded onto the Dawn Arrows.
At the moment the Blood Oath took shape, Yu Yuan dispatched a sliver of his remnant soul from his heaven soul.
As the remnant soul slipped into the Blood Oath's mark, Qin Yun dutifully accepted it, careful not to show any disrespect.
The Blood Oath was now complete.
In that instant, Yu Yuan keenly felt a profound connection between his heaven soul and the four marks.
This bond served a purpose.
With a mere thought, he could trigger the Blood Oath, causing his remnant soul to spark the imprints and make the Dawn Arrows burst forthwith.
Qin Yun had painstakingly refined these four Dawn Arrows over a century.
They were, in truth, treasures vital to his very existence.
Should Yu Yuan detonate each Dawn Arrow, Qin Yun would survive but his realm would plummet threefold, and his Lunar Spirit would shatter.
Such a fate would strip Qin Yun of any standing within the Midnightshields and the Crimson Sun Empire.
"How are you so adept with the Blood Oath?"
Qin Yun gingerly returned the four Dawn Arrows to an acupoint within his chest, his unease lingering. "Yu Yuan, do you have a mentor?"
Lee Yuchan perked up at this question.
Yu Yuan's composure during the oath-taking, his mastery over the minutiae, suggested a familiarity that hinted at previous encounters.
"Senior, if it's better left unasked, then let's leave it at that," Yu Yuan said, his demeanor now markedly casual. His heaven soul was constantly attuned to the presence of the four Dawn Arrows nestled within Qin Yun's chest acupoints.
Should he choose, he could ignite the Dawn Arrows this very moment, reducing Qin Yun to nothing more than ashes.
"Yu Yuan, isn't it time to lift your restriction?" The elder from the Midnightshields could no longer contain his frustration, speaking out in anger: "Our sect master may have erred, but he remains a senior figure. You, a mere Soul Awakening youth, are acting far too tyrannically!"
"Mr. Qin, in the future, have him speak less," Yu Yuan suggested.
With a sense of resignation, Qin Yun turned and shot a glare at him. "Did you catch that?"
The elder, adept in the Subtlety Realm, had a rigid expression. He met Yu Yuan's somber and frustrated gaze, finally coming to a realization. Hanging his head, he muttered, "Understood."
"Cough, cough."
With a soft cough, Yu Yuan watched as numerous colorful lightning bolts surged into the heavens once more.
Beneath the earth, the sword's will, reminiscent of fish, also went into hiding.
"That Star-Spawned Terror lurking around the bronze monument, I'm ready to give it a try now," Yu Yuan mused, stroking his chin and addressing Qin Yun, "What are your thoughts?"
"Losing a Dawn Arrow has severely weakened my vitality," Qin Yun admitted.
"It's just one Dawn Arrow; there's no need to overreact," Yu Yuan said, seizing control of the conversation and clapping Qin Yun on the shoulder. "Mr. Qin, this world is full of wonders, as you've seen. If you avoid harboring ill will, we could join forces. Perhaps you could even achieve Spirit Walk before you depart."
Those observing the pair found the interaction peculiar to say the least.
Yu Yuan, a practitioner of the Soul Awakening Realm, was patting Qin Yun's shoulder as if they were old friends, attempting to persuade him.
Their differences in status and cultivation level were stark.
Yet Qin Yun, having grasped the situation, remained composed, his eyes brightening, "You're not kidding, right?"
"Why would I joke when we're all in the same boat?" Yu Yuan inhaled deeply and then declared, "Considering how the four Dawn Arrows have willingly integrated with the Blood Oath, I'll grant you an opportunity."
"What?" Qin Yun was taken aback.
"Come with me."
Yu Yuan moved past him, feeling the warmth of the sword light within his arm bone, "And you all should join us."
He was speaking to Lee Yuchan and the others.
Half an hour later.
Standing atop a Moon Shard in another cavern, Yu Yuan instructed Qin Yun and Lee Yuchan, "Break open this meteorite."
Under the night's glow, the Moon Shard lacked any luster.
This gray-white fragment was unremarkable compared to the other Moon Shards.
It didn't absorb moonlight, nor did it shine; it wasn't even transparent.
No matter how one looked at it, it was just an ordinary Lunar Meteorite, devoid of any distinguishing marks.
"My vitality and spiritual energy are nearly depleted. Only my Lunar Spirit is still capable of fighting," Qin Yun said, gazing at the stone. "But I've already tried, and the Lunar Spirit can't penetrate it."
"Lee, it's your turn," Yu Yuan suggested.
Lee Yuchan, curiosity written all over her face, asked, "What's inside this stone?"
"Crack it open, and you'll find out," Yu Yuan replied with a smile.
"Gutrender!"
Lee Yuchan let out a cold snort, seemingly reproaching him for his secrecy, and then gestured to Lee Yu.
"Whoosh!"
Lee Yu tossed the Gutrender, the treasured sword of the Silvermoon Empire, to her.
Lee Yuchan caught it effortlessly and brought it down in a swift strike on the Moon Shard.
A verdant arc light, like a straight river, cascaded down onto the gray-white boulder.
"Crack crack crack!"
The hard, cold stone was cleaved by the Gutrender, and rubble tumbled away.
Suddenly, a radiant crystal burst forth from the gray-white boulder.
"Psicrystal!"
"No way! How could there be Psicrystals here?"
"It's so clear and flawless – that's definitely a Psicrystal!"
"In the chaotic and wild spiritual energy of the Moonfall Sanctuary, it's impossible for Psicrystals to form!"
The crowd in the pit erupted in excitement, staring in disbelief at the crystals rolling out from the Moon Shard, their exclamations filling the air.
A soulstone, which contains spiritual energy, is the most basic form.
Above that, in terms of refinement and richness of spiritual energy, are the higher-grade Soul Crystals.
Soul Crystals are mostly found deep within the veins of the Aetherius Continent, in places where the spiritual energy is most concentrated.
Psicrystals, even higher in quality than Soul Crystals, contain an abundance of spiritual energy that is much purer.
Legend has it that in the early years of the Aetherius Continent, Psicrystals could occasionally be unearthed in certain mines.
In recent years, however, there have been no reports of Psicrystals being found.
Only in special locations on the Land of Quiescence and the Land of Termination are Psicrystals known to form.
Psicrystals are rare treasures reserved for the true cultivators of Euwrea and the Land of Quiescence.
"How did you know there are Psicrystals here?" Lee Yuchan exclaimed in astonishment.
"Recover your battle strength as quickly as possible," Yu Yuan instructed Qin Yun.
"How should we distribute these Psicrystals?" Zhan Tianxiang inquired.
"Prioritize the individual with the highest level of cultivation!"
