C1400 Two Rivers
In the forsaken expanse of the Star River, Yu Yuan's physical form and his Solar Spirit sat together on the Dragon Slaying Stage, deeply engrossed in contemplating the intricate nature of the Solar Spirit.
"Blood Fiend..."
He whispered to himself.
His thoughts naturally drifted to his experiences on the Primal Blood Continent, the birthplace of the Blood Fiend.
There, he had sensed a peculiar presence deep beneath the surface, akin to the Root of the Solar Meridian — the Root of the Lunar Meridian!
At the dawn of creation, when the Star River was but a mass of murky currents and cosmic giant beasts had yet to emerge, two extraordinary rivers existed.
One Lunar, the other Solar.
Enveloped in a haze of otherworldly light, these two rivers meandered through the chaos, brimming with boundless brilliance, Divine Thunder, and chains of rules that embodied the essence of blood and soul.
As the rivers surged, they sprinkled spirit and specks of blood light like a gentle rain.
The Root of the Lunar Meridian ultimately found its home in the Everlands, merging with the destiny of the Titan Spinosaurus to forge the resplendent civilizations of the evilkind, the Nagas, and humanity.
Together with the Titan Spinosaurus, it transformed the Everlands into the most luminous star within the vast Star River.
Humans born in the Everlands, upon cultivating their primordial spirit, could achieve immortality!
Meanwhile, the Blood Fiend, a unique breed of the Star-Spawned Terror, came into being on the Primal Blood Continent.
Clearly, the creator of the Blood Fiend was the Root of the Solar Meridian, concealed deep within the earth.
Grec, with his Altar of Rebirth, served as the piercing blade of the Root of the Solar Meridian, manifesting its will outwardly.
The sole flaw of the Blood Fiend was that, despite their potential to ascend as Great Demon Gods, they lacked eternal life. Bound by their corporeal bodies, they were fated to age and eventually perish.
Yet, the distinctive bloodline of the Blood Fiend granted them the power to assimilate the lifeblood of various races and even wield a portion of the blood magic of other races' mighty warriors.
Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit, partially composed of the blood crystal from Grec, was, in a strict sense, also a beneficiary of the Root of the Solar Meridian.
Grec possesses an Altar of Rebirth, as did I. Their foundational origins bear a striking resemblance...
Musing, his thoughts drifted to the Abyssal Leviathan, whose intrinsic power as a cosmic giant beast was also a form of life force.
The Altar of Rebirth within him was forged from the Sunsorrow droplets of the giant beast, and perhaps, it was the deliberate design of the Abyssal Leviathan.
The Abyssal Leviathan intended to relinquish its Sunsorrow so that he might be reborn, taking on a human form to reemerge in the world, a deliberate act of sacrifice.
Sharing the same nature as a life force, Grec sought to claim my Altar of Rebirth for himself, and in turn, I could assimilate Grec...
Moreover, when the two ultimately combined, they gave rise to this Solar Spirit.
Is it possible that their initial sources were identical?
This thought sent Yu Yuan reeling with a profound realization.
His soul, honed by the Soul Forging through Enlightenment, often experienced moments of sudden clarity when pondering such matters.
Take this moment, for instance!
He had an epiphany that the Root of the Solar Meridian, born out of chaos, might have bestowed its favor upon the Abyssal Leviathan long ago.
The life source of the Abyssal Leviathan likely originated from the Root of the Solar Meridian. Perhaps this enigmatic cosmic giant beast had once encountered the Root of the Solar Meridian in the cold expanse of space.
There might have been an intersection in the past between the cosmic giant beast and the peculiar Root of the Solar Meridian.
It's conceivable that the Abyssal Leviathan was graced by the Root of the Solar Meridian, or that it had forcibly consumed a tributary of the Root. Alternatively, there could have been a pact or an undisclosed agreement between them.
In any case, the Abyssal Leviathan must have gained a significant advantage from the Root of the Solar Meridian, which endowed it with its psionic power.
Similarly, the Root of the Lunar Meridian had found its destiny, and after countless years adrift, the Root of the Solar Meridian entered the Primal Blood Continent. By a twist of fate, this realm was home to a Sky Fiend in its purest soul form.
This Sky Fiend, in its pure soul state, was imbued with life force by the Root of the Solar Meridian, transforming into what we now know as the Blood Fiend!
The origins of the Blood Fiend and the life source of the Abyssal Leviathan most likely trace back to the Root of the Solar Meridian.
Inside the Abyssal Leviathan, there might still be a fragment of the Root of the Solar Meridian that's missing...
Therefore, when Grec discovered that his body harbored a postnatal Altar of Rebirth, containing a mysterious life force, he became desperate to claim it as his own.
Even after he ventured into the extraterrestrial Star River, he generously rewarded various races to assist in his search, revealing an attitude that suggested he would stop at nothing to obtain it.
"If both parties originally share the same source, that would explain a lot," Yu Yuan mused, taking a deep breath. He pondered his encounters with Grec, Grec's demise, and whether the Abyssal Leviathan had orchestrated the theft of the blood crystal.
The Abyssal Leviathan, a cunning and vicious giant beast, might have anticipated Grec's death and sought to gain something from it.
The Abyssal Leviathan itself likely preferred to avoid the Primal Blood Continent and the Root of the Solar Meridian.
Hence, the Abyssal Leviathan manipulated events to cause Grec's death, benefitting itself and subsequently reaching the Primal Blood Continent, where it encountered the Root of the Solar Meridian.
Upon awakening, the will of the Root of the Solar Meridian underground reacted most strongly to him.
At that moment, did the Root of the Solar Meridian covertly take any action?
He then remembered the time in the Glimmerdrift Nebula, before the Abyssal Leviathan became enraged, when it was confined by the Heaven-Opening Sword Array. Upon his entry, the Abyssal Leviathan expressed sudden despair and helplessness.
Exhausted, the Abyssal Leviathan exclaimed, "All has been erased," indicating that its residual marks and contingencies had been wiped clean.
Could it be that his unique dominant soul, with the mysteries of Wraithbinding, played a role? Or perhaps the blood crystal from Grec, sharing the same origin as the Abyssal Leviathan's psionic power, had an effect after their combination?
Is it possible that the enigmatic Root of the Solar Meridian, through Grec's blood crystal, subtly assimilated its own life imprint during the refinement of my Solar Spirit, thereby erasing the Abyssal Leviathan's traces?
In doing so, did it reclaim a part of its life essence?
If this is indeed the case, then both the Abyssal Leviathan and the Root of the Solar Meridian must have exerted their influence during the formation of my Solar Spirit.
Did the Abyssal Leviathan lose?
If the Abyssal Leviathan was defeated, does that mean my Solar Spirit, like the Great Demon God Grec, was created by the Root of the Solar Meridian?
Yu Yuan pondered this.
The Lunar Spirit had once received favor from the Root of the Lunar Meridian in the Land of Terror. For the birth of the God of Ghosts, it was purified by the Root of the Lunar Meridian and granted the Shadow Moon Essence to unlock numerous acupoints.
It seemed that the strength of his spirit and the corporeal body had both been influenced by the Root of the Lunar Meridian.
The Solar Spirit, this unique corporeal form, served as a postnatal Altar of Rebirth, merging with the blood crystal and the lifeblood of various races.
The Altar of Rebirth and the blood crystal both originated from the Root of the Solar Meridian, linking the Solar Spirit intimately to the Root of the Solar Meridian.
Yin and Yang, the initial oddities of Chaos, seemed to be engaged in some sort of competition within Yu Yuan's reborn self, between his soul and body.
"Are you two using my soul and body as a battleground?" he wondered, shuddering at the thought.
It was as if, in the far-off Everlands and the Primal Blood Continent, two ancient life forms were silently observing him from the shadows.
After an eternity.
The Dragon Slaying Stage, guided by Yu Yuan's divided attention, finally navigated the correct course, traversing the void of the Star River. It pierced through a tangible layer of energy and stepped into the Darkpinion.
The sky was speckled with countless stars, each representing a world of the Wingkind, and the vitality of flora permeated the realm.
Surveying the Domain from the Dragon Slaying Stage, Yu Yuan noticed that most of the stars were shrouded in dense vegetation, with lush forests and river canyons sprawling across them.
For some reason, the Darkpinion sprang to mind first; it seemed an ideal haven for the Order of Healing.
Each Domain could cultivate an abundance of medicinal herbs. He had already spotted several dozen varieties with a cursory glance from the Dragon Slaying Stage.
"What a wonderful place!"
