C1401 Dark Wing Starfield

In the Dark Wing Starfield, a myriad of stars and planets shimmered like emerald gems strewn across the night sky, lifting Yu Yuan's spirits with their beauty. Without the Dragon Slash Platform, these twinkling stars would remain just that—mere stars. Even after advancing to the Yang God stage, he wouldn't be able to glimpse the wonders within these celestial bodies, as his vision couldn't penetrate the barriers surrounding each star.

But standing on the Dragon Slash Platform, it became his "God's Eye," revealing every intricate detail within the stars. He observed rivers, lakes, forests, and mountains, along with the villages and towns of the Dark Elfkind and Winged Race. Some even more primitive tribes lived among the mountains, sustaining themselves by harvesting fruit and fishing.

The Winged Race made their homes high in the forest's towering trees, constructing wooden dwellings that dangled like nests. Besides them and the Dark Elfkind, the Mondnacht Clan, Crypt Clan, and a few members of the Shadow Clan also thrived within this celestial expanse.

Nearly a hundred stars dotted the area, with a few devoid of protective barriers, becoming desolate wastelands. Yet, dozens of stars teemed with life, their mountainous landscapes cloaked in lush vegetation and brimming with vitality.

As Yu Yuan surveyed the scene through the Dragon Slash Platform, he was convinced that if the disciples of the Medicine God Sect and the Medicine Sect could traverse these worlds, they would surely cultivate numerous rare medicinal herbs, crafting potent elixirs to enhance both body and spirit. He envisioned the disciples from both sects bustling through the starry forests, diligently gathering herbs.

"How wonderful it would be if those people could come to the Dark Wing Starfield," he whispered to himself.

However, the stringent rules set by the five dominant powers prohibited anyone below the Yang God Stage from venturing into the starry realms. And how many of the Medicine God Sect and Medicine Sect disciples, skilled in herb gathering and cultivation, could achieve the Yang God Stage? With their energy divided between studying plants and mastering alchemy, few could dedicate enough time to deep cultivation. Consequently, the attainments of an alchemist were often modest, far from extraordinary.

Zhong Chichen and Chu Yao were anomalies among alchemists.

Without reaching the Yang God Stage, one could not venture into the Outland Star River to witness the celestial wonders or promote the marvels of alchemy within the Dark Wing Starfield.

"Hmm!"

Suddenly, Yu Yuan picked up on the presence of the Evil Cauldron and Yu Yiyi.

Across the vast starry expanse, his gaze settled on a modestly sized star enveloped in rings of emerald light.

This star, not centrally located in the Dark Wing Starfield, was somewhat secluded.

Initially, Yu Yuan hadn't noticed it, but now, with his newfound awareness, he scrutinized it with the Dragon Slash Platform and quickly ascertained that this star was indeed the most abundant treasure trove in the Dark Wing Starfield.

There, the concentration of wood essence in the air far surpassed that of the Jade Peak Mountain Range.

The so-called spiritual mountain that the Yu family depended on paled in comparison to this star.

Typically, worlds within the Outland Star River seldom boasted an abundance of spiritual energy as rich as the vast ocean of spiritual energy.

This vast ocean was not only plentiful but also of exceptional purity!

Even mortals, infinitely weaker than other races, could adapt to it.

Yu Yuan observed that the spiritual energy of this world was quite singular, dominated by an overwhelming proportion of wood essence, which accounted for the dense foliage of the star.

Nonetheless, it was exceedingly rare to encounter a place with a richer wood essence than the Jade Peak Mountain Range.

Yu Yuan, intrigued, continued his careful examination.

The star, only marginally larger than the Silvermoon Empire and the Flaming Sun Empire, was prism-shaped rather than spherical, resembling a chunk of green jade casting a verdant glow from afar.

This emerald radiance was the world's boundary, effectively shielding it from most harmful cosmic energies.

While detecting the Evil Cauldron and Yu Yiyi, he also caught a whiff of the Death Nest's energy with the Dragon Slash Platform, though he found no sign of Chen Qinghuang...

"Let's head there."

With a mere thought, the Dragon Slash Platform beneath him surged forward with the speed of a lightning bolt.

"Master has arrived!"

Perched atop the mouth of the Evil Cauldron on a verdant giant tree brimming with foliage, Yu Yiyi felt a slight tremor in her shoulders and promptly directed her gaze toward the starry expanse beyond.

To her, the world's sky seemed eternally bathed in the shimmer of auroras, with the firmament awash in undulating emerald ripples.

Yet, her vision was incapable of piercing through the world's boundary, rendering her unable to discern Yu Yuan's actual whereabouts.

Nonetheless, the direction she faced was precisely where Yu Yuan had emerged in the Dark Wing Starfield and was now drawing near.

She called out softly, "Mr. Yan!"

Her voice, high-pitched and resonant, startled Yan Qiling, who was busily extracting Spirit Stones and casting them into the Death Nest hundreds of miles away.

The enigmatic Death Nest, once seen in the Plover Realm, now perched atop a colossal withered tree.

Beneath it, wooden huts crafted from dried vines dangled from the barren branches.

Within one such hut, esteemed elders from the Winged Race and Dark Elfkind were deep in discussion.

The tree, exuding an aura of death with its ashen roots, bore a striking resemblance to the Death Nest, with peculiar spatial forces coursing through its core—forces born from the Spirit Stones Yan Qiling had deposited into the tree hollows.

The towering tree, over three hundred meters tall, featured naturally occurring honeycomb-like cavities within its trunk, sculpted not by hand but by the relentless erosion of time.

Yan Qiling, having just tossed a Spirit Stone into one of these cavities, suddenly contracted.

At the peak of his contraction, he transformed into a point of white light and vanished.

Moments later, he materialized beside Yu Yiyi, his face wearing a faint smile. "Where is Yu Yuan?"

Yu Yiyi extended a finger and pointed outward. "There!"

Yan Qiling nodded. "Just a moment."

As Yu Yiyi indicated a spot in the heavens, all traces of green receded, as though the murky waters of a lake had been instantly purified by an unseen force, leaving the vista crystal clear and luminous.

The section of the barrier she pointed to became transparent, diminishing its defensive capabilities against the outside world but not obstructing Yu Yiyi's view.

"Yu Yuan is on his way!"

In a region abundant with swamps, some rare plants and flowers thrived.

Mia, a member of the Dark Elfkind, gazed up at a corner of the starry sky that had suddenly cleared, her face lighting up with a smile.

"Yu, Master Yu!" exclaimed Lulu, who had been traveling with her through thick and thin, her excitement palpable.

Her eyes, filled with anticipation, were fixed on the transparent barrier. She spotted what seemed like a meteor streaking across the dark expanse of the starry river. "Could that be Master Yu?"

Yu Yuan had once instructed Luo Yue to teach her the art of alchemy, but he had also taken her on as his disciple. When she returned to the Dark Elfkind with Mia, her mixed heritage failed to garner acceptance.

Brie, the chieftain of the Dark Elfkind, refused to acknowledge her lineage, deliberately making things difficult for Mia and forcing them to drift between the territories of the Dark Elfkind and the Winged Race.

However, following a cataclysmic event in the Deep Starfield, Brie's attitude toward her and Mia shifted dramatically after his own power waned.

Consequently, she and Mia found themselves in the Dark Wing Starfield, this wondrous place. Mia had shared with her the astonishing revelation that the majestic Luan Bird Queen was the Founder of the Winged Race, the mythical Secular Bird!

She had also learned of the alliance between the Luan Bird Queen and Yu Yuan, who had joined forces with Brie in the Deep Starfield to combat the malevolence of the abyss.

She was aware that Brie's survival owed much to Yu Yuan's efforts...

It was for this reason that she was able to join Mia in this remarkable corner of the Dark Wing Starfield, to mingle with members of the Divine Soul Sect and the traders' guild.

"Little Yu's presence is becoming increasingly grand," mused Hu Caiyun, inhaling a wisp of pale purple smoke in a secluded corner of the swamp, savoring the moment before adding, "It's been some time since I've seen him. I'm curious about the extent of his current strength."

Now a part of the Divine Soul Sect, she had been welcomed thanks to Yu Yuan's recommendation. She had come here following Yan Qiling, and through him, she had learned much about the events that had unfolded in the Deep Starfield.

The more she heard about Yu Yuan, the more enigmatic he seemed...
