C1407 A Chaotic Situation

"If you don't make things clear, this isn't over between us!"

In the throes of her rage, Ann Ziqing transformed into a bloodthirsty witch within the Crucible of Evil.

Her eyes blazed red, and within the depths of her veins, blood-colored lightning seemed to streak by.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Her heart, along with the Solar Spirit in her little world, began to pulsate in unison.

Seven amethyst pools levitated, encircling her Solar Spirit, casting an intensely brilliant purple-red glow that appeared both demonic and terrifying.

Her exquisite purple divine armor adorned her figure, accentuating her elegant form.

"Calm down, calm down. I truly don't understand why you're so worked up!" Yu Yuan chided.

As Ann Ziqing seethed with anger, specks of blood-colored light twinkled from her seven acupoints.

The flickering lights were reminiscent of the vital energy from the archdemons she had slain and refined over the years, as well as the lifeblood of alien beasts and Otherkin.

This phenomenon bore a striking resemblance to the Bloodwraiths within the Baneblade.

"I only mentioned that there were signs and the potential for this to happen. I never intended to turn you into my blood bound slave."

Yu Yuan spoke soothingly, trying to pacify her. As she moved to step closer, he continued, "Actually, you resemble the Great Demon God Grec more than you do me. Once you break through to the Unbound state, your Solar Spirit will naturally evolve into a Demon God of the Blood Fiend clan. And if you manage another breakthrough to become a primordial spirit..."

At that point, Yu Yuan paused, a new possibility dawning on him.

Colddeath Ann Wen!

Ann Wen, at the pinnacle of the Unbound Stage and a practitioner of Colddeath's mystique, possessed a unique Solar Spirit. Could it be similar to Ann Ziqing's?

Was Ann Wen's Solar Spirit, at his current level, not equivalent to a ninth-level Demon God of the Blood Fiend clan?

And if he were to gain the support of Boulderdawn Sect and the Chamber of Commerce, securing a supreme position and smoothly transitioning his dominant soul into a primordial spirit, wouldn't he ascend to the Primordial Spirit Realm?

Would that not bestow upon him eternal life?

If the primordial spirit were to remain undying, would the Solar Spirit, the Demon God of the Blood Fiend clan that was one with him, not also be immortal?

He had transformed into a primordial spirit, but could his Solar Spirit evolve further to become a Demon God of the Blood Fiend, akin to Grec?

The Blood Fiend was an anomaly among the Star-Spawned Terrors, lacking eternal life.

Not even Grec could achieve that.

In the vast Everlands, if the Solar Spirit of Ann Wen from the Colddeath Cult ascended to a great Demon God and the primordial spirit reached the pinnacle of supremacy, would it not become immortal?

Could such an outlier defy the so-called Cosmic Order?

Yu Yuan was lost in thought.

Yet, no epiphany struck him this time. Perhaps the complexity of the issue exceeded his current understanding and the boundaries of his knowledge.

"What are you rambling on about?" Ann Ziqing demanded, frustration lacing her voice.

Her impatience grew as the conversation halted abruptly without providing the answers she sought.

"Essentially, your potential is boundless. And rest assured, your concerns will not materialize," Yu Yuan assured her with gravity.

Ann Ziqing had more questions, but at that moment, Yu Yuan was interrupted by Yan Qiling's call from outside.

"We'll continue this later."

The Crucible of Evil vanished from the earth, reuniting with Yu Yiyi in an instant.

He and a puzzled Ann Ziqing were thus revealed.

"Am I interrupting?" Yan Qiling asked, his smile tinged with innuendo. He bowed courteously and apologized before adding, "If you have pressing matters, I can wait."

"Then wait!" Ann Ziqing snapped.

Her piercing red gaze remained fixed on Yu Yuan. "Explain yourself. Did you exploit my unconscious state to implant some vile mark deep within my Mindscape using the Mind Magic of Boulderdawn? Yu Yuan! The An family has been good to you; don't repay our kindness with betrayal."

She invoked the An family to press Yu Yuan for a clearer, more precise response.

"Uh..."

Yan Qiling chuckled awkwardly and discreetly withdrew, "You two take your time."

Yu Yuan, now embodying the Solar Spirit, considered her reference to the An family. After a pause, he nodded and shared, "My Solar Spirit is rather unique. As you're aware, I've visited the Primal Blood Continent. There, I encountered an ancient and powerful blood entity known as the Root of the Solar Meridian, which came into existence concurrently with the entity beneath the Land of Terror."

He began to recount his experiences on the Primal Blood Continent and his theories in great detail.

He revealed to Ann Ziqing that the mystique of the Colddeath originated from the Blood Fiend, which in turn was created by the Root of the Solar Meridian. Even the rampaging Abyssal Leviathan had a seed of the Root of the Solar Meridian behind it.

He went on to explain that his own Solar Spirit was deliberately formed by the Abyssal Leviathan and had even integrated with the blood crystal of the Demon God.

He held nothing back, sharing everything he could with Ann Ziqing.

Ann Ziqing was stunned by his revelations.

From the moment he mentioned the Root of the Solar Meridian, Ann Ziqing stopped asking questions and became exceedingly patient.

"I need time to process this. Besides, what you've told me is astonishing. There's nothing about it in the ancient texts of our Colddeath." It took a while for Ann Ziqing to regain her composure.

She wandered off in a daze, murmuring, "You discuss with Mr. Yan. I need some quiet time. I've heard you're returning to the Everlands, and I'll join you. I want to see the old man—he's still there in the Everlands. I need to confront him and get some answers."

The 'old man' she referred to was Ann Wen from the Colddeath, and her mind was in turmoil.

"The Root of the Solar Meridian..."

Yan Qiling murmured, materializing with a flicker. He gazed intently at Yu Yuan with an odd look and said with envy, "Only someone like you could reach out to such ancient beings within the vast starry ocean."

"Have you heard of it too?" Yu Yuan inquired.

Yan Qiling nodded without denying, "I've heard bits and pieces, but I don't fully understand it."

A mix of resignation and sourness tinged his expression. "I'm not deemed worthy to know too much. The God-Kings among us discuss the Root of the Solar Meridian, but they won't clarify my doubts or reveal the marvels of the Root."

"Is it Taishi?" Yu Yuan probed further.

With a wry smile, Yan Qiling shook his head, "Let's leave that subject. I came specifically to tell you that Boulderdawn Sect and the merchants have been in touch. They're open to trying the proposal you put forth."

He glanced at the barrier overhead and said, “Don’t fret about the barrier's purification. Someone else will handle it.”

“Is it really possible to arrange for members of the Order of Healing to come live in Greenshadow?” Yu Yuan asked, his spirits lifting.

“They can, but…” Yan Qiling hesitated, “you are Yu Yuan now, not the Master of the Order of Healing. Your plans require the Order's cooperation. What makes you so sure that Zhong Chichen and Chu Yao will still follow your orders?”

Chu Yao's arrival with Cao Jiaze, Xu Jingyao, and others signaled the Order of Healing's choice.

Given that the Order of Healing had aligned with the five supreme powers, it was clearly inappropriate for Yu Yuan to command its members.

After all, he was no longer the reigning Master of the Order of Healing.

“I’m returning this time to resolve some lingering questions. The doubts that have plagued me for years regarding the Order of Healing must be addressed,” Yu Yuan responded.

"Alright."

...

Several days later, Canli of the Dawnbringers descended upon Greenshadow, accompanied by a retinue of formidable figures.

Her arrival promptly drew the Wingkind and Shadowkin elders to welcome her.

"Please arrange for me to travel to the Everlands with Yu Yuan of Boulderdawn immediately!"

Standing beneath the barren tree at the base of the Deathwing Lair, Canli gazed up at the massive nest above, awestruck by the constant emanation of its power. "I appreciate your assistance," she remarked.

"Not at all, not at all."

"Certainly, certainly."
