C1410 The Rebirth of the Dragon!
In the Deep Sea, upon Dragon Island, the giant dragons lay scattered across the land in their ancient forms beneath the blazing sun.
A fire dragon sprawled on the island's sandy beach, soaking in the sunlight. Its dark red scales absorbed the solar energy, channeling it into the dragon tendon and dragon blood.
Frost wyrms nestled deep within the island's caverns, their tails concealed in the icy waters of the subterranean pond.
Green dragons and Jade Wyrms either roamed the island's forests or swam in the adjacent seas.
Surrounding Dragon Island were smaller isles, home to human cultivators.
Known as Dragon Attendants, these individuals devoted themselves to the Nagas, their cultivation entirely dependent on dragon's blood and dragon's breath.
The spells they practiced, gifts from the Nagas, fortified their bodies and allowed them to transcend their current realms.
Yet, the cultivation levels of the Dragon Attendants were generally modest, with only a rare few achieving the emergence of a Solar Spirit.
On this particular day, the blood of the eighth and ninth level giant dragons on Dragon Island began to seethe.
The dragons, roused from their indolence, were suddenly gripped by convulsions.
To the east of the island, Loong Jie, resplendent in gold and coursing with the blood of the golden dragon, unleashed an ecstatic, frenzied roar!
Near Dragon Lake, the sea swelled, and every Dragon Attendant fell to the ground, shivering with fear.
Unaware of what had transpired, they could only wonder at the madness that had overtaken the old dragon.
All dragons, regardless of their location or activity, fell silent to heed Loong Jie's call.
The Nagas understood...
Before long, giant dragons of higher bloodline levels emerged from both the sky and the sea's depths. Their eyes sparkled with a mix of disbelief and thrill, a blend of astonishment and skepticism.
One by one, they began to converge on Loong Jie, hastening toward the eastern reaches of Dragon Island.
With a crackling surge, the bloodline chains within Loong Jie's serpentine, golden body, once bound by natural rules, now radiated an astonishing divine glow.
Intense golden lightning rent asunder, coursing through his flesh.
Beneath the fierce sun, Loong Jie's form erupted in a blinding cascade of golden light.
He gazed into the vast sky above the Everlands, admiring the kaleidoscopic wall and the clouds that shimmered like a colorful haze. He could sense the monumental shift in the world...
Tears suddenly welled up in Loong Jie's enormous dragon eyes. This old dragon, who had been oppressed in Sword Prison for many years, had finally returned. With his golden claws, he pounded the ground repeatedly.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The massive Dragon Island trembled with each of his strikes.
"Old patriarch!"
Giant dragons, their scales shimmering in a spectrum of colors under the sunlight, rushed toward him. They coiled their immense bodies and came to a halt before Loong Jie, then bowed down in reverence.
Tears filled their eyes as they gazed at Loong Jie with anticipation.
They were seeking an answer!
"Do you feel it too?" Loong Jie roared.
All the dragons that had gathered nodded emphatically. Shaking, they raised their colossal, anchor-like claws and, following Loong Jie's lead, began to slap the ground of Dragon Island with their dragon claws.
Words could not capture the experience. These dragons, having attained the eighth level of bloodline, sensed a certain equilibrium within their bloodlines vanish without a trace.
The Nagas, like humans, were inherently endowed with exceptional wisdom and spirituality.
As their bloodlines advanced, the innate divine powers and talents of the Nagas, imprinted within their very being, would naturally emerge, swiftly enhancing their strength.
Yet, once the dragons reached the seventh level of bloodline, they began to perceive a mysterious force emerging, one that sought to constrain them...
Progression of the Naga bloodline would decelerate beyond the seventh level.
Upon breaching the blood's boundary once more, the sense of constraint and pressure they endured would intensify manifold.
This realization plunged many giant dragons into despair, as if an unseen Holy Mountain eternally loomed over them, pressing down upon their radiant bloodline chains and their very hearts.
It left them feeling suffocated, unable to catch their breath or turn the tide!
Eventually, they understood that this was the retribution imposed upon the entire Naga Tribe by the supreme powers of the Human Tribe of Everlands and Shadow's Keep.
This punishment had persisted for tens of thousands of years!
Consequently, the Nagas had not witnessed the birth of a Dragon God since, unable to contend with the five supreme beings, resigned to following their commands submissively.
It had always been like this.
But just moments ago!
The dragon, whose bloodline had reached the eighth level, suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of relief. The intangible Holy Mountain that had weighed upon them for tens of thousands of years seemed to have been lifted by an unseen hand!
They considered a possibility but scarcely dared to believe it, let alone allow themselves to hope. So, they sought confirmation from Loong Jie.
As a pure-blooded descendant of the golden dragon, the mightiest of the old dragons in the Everlands, they trusted that Loong Jie's sensations were deeper and more intuitive. He would surely know the truth.
"The seal has been suddenly broken!" Loong Jie bellowed.
Upon hearing his words, the gathering dragons instantly lifted their heads in pride, then roared and wept simultaneously.
"At the Godsblight Marsh!"
Loong Jie's eyes, gleaming like molten gold, did not glance towards Moonfall Sanctuary but instead fixed upon the Godsblight Marsh. With an authoritative voice, he proclaimed to the assembled giant dragons, "Rise up! The Nagas will no longer heed the dictates of the five supreme powers! Our history of oppression ends today!"
Roar! Roar! Roar!
The thunderous roars of the giant dragons erupted from Dragon Island, echoing across the neighboring seas.
It seemed as though every formidable being in the Everlands had heard the dragon's roar at that moment.
And from that roar, they sensed a feeling akin to a rebirth.
...
In the Land of Quiescence, within the Shadow's Keep.
The supreme Dark Phoenix's demon soul awakened in the majestic hall and immediately summoned the Kylin and the Astral Tiger.
The Kylin's demon soul and the Moonfang Tiger's true form nearly entered the Shadow's Keep simultaneously.
Many archdemons of the Shadow's Keep, gazing towards the towering mountain-like structure that resembled a four-cornered tower, were startled as a profound demon energy, as vast as the sea, emanated from within.
The disturbance at the Shadow's Keep suggested that the three current Dark Deities had convened in their unique ways, likely deliberating over some matter.
Previously, it was the death of the Golden Elephant God that had caused such a tumultuous surge of demon energy within the Shadow's Keep.
What happened this time?
Gazing at the colorful ripples in the sky, the subtle quaking of the wall, and the thunderous roars from the earth, the archdemons felt a sense of foreboding.
...
Devil Palace.
A darkness so intense emerged from the bowels of the earth, as if a Troll from the darkest depths of hell had taken to the skies.
This darkness surged forth, swiftly swallowing all the light above, plunging the Devil Palace and much of the surrounding area into pitch-black night.
"The Demon Lord has awakened!"
Hundreds of dark adepts shouted amidst the shadows.
Yan Lu, having advanced to the Spirit Walk, was among the throng of dark adepts, staring blankly into the sky within the darkness.
The all-consuming darkness soon vanished into an ancient palace.
That was the site of the Devil Palace, the very reason for its name.
"The Demon Lord has summoned all the Unbound realm experts!"
"Something monumental is about to unfold in the Everlands!"
The dark adept at the Unbound stage heard Tan Xiaotian's summons deep within his soul.
They all emerged from their seclusion, converging on the palace known as the Devil Palace.
...
Similar events unfolded among the three upper sects of Euwrea and various hidden sects.
Those who felt the earth-shattering changes and were aware of the cosmic order that once shackled the Nagas, hastily convened with their sect elders to exchange insights and seek confirmation.
They all sought to validate their perceptions, scarcely able to believe or even to acknowledge the truth.
Could it be that the Nagas were poised for a resurgence?
...
In the depths of the Marsh, Yu Yuan stood in stunned silence as he withdrew the Dragon Slaying Stage back into his acupoint.
But the inevitable had already occurred, and it was too late for him to intervene.
Such an unexpected and bizarre shift had caught Yu Yuan completely off guard; now, he was at a loss for how to resolve the situation.
The Lunar Spirit remained within the Dragon Slaying Stage, still communicating with the juvenile Titan Spinosaurus.
Meanwhile, another fragment of his soul and consciousness coalesced, attempting to locate the "Titanblade," eager to discover the whereabouts of the Divine Sword that had returned to the Everlands.
For safety's sake, he decided to retrieve the sword first to be prepared for any unforeseen developments.
"How odd, could it no longer be in the Everlands?"
Despite tapping into the power of the Dragon Slaying Stage, he couldn't detect the sword's presence! From his position in the Godsblight Marsh, he was able to observe the unusual activities of the three upper sects, as well as the synchronized responses from the Devil Palace and Shadow's Keep.
He also spotted Dragon Island deep in the ocean, along with the golden old dragon.
"Loong Jie!"
