C1423 The Path of the Old Servant's Advancement

As Qin Yun spoke, he couldn't help but reminisce about the moments he shared with Yu Yuan. It was almost surreal for someone like him to feel as though he was living in a dream...

In the past, Yu Yuan was branded a traitor by the five supreme forces, leaving him and the Yu family in dire straits. Had Yu Zhu not wielded her divine powers in the Forgotten Ruins, enveloping Thylethlume in spiritual energy to demonstrate her unwavering resolve, Mo Yan of the Devil Palace would have surely obliterated the Yu family long ago.

During those difficult years, he and the Yu family members were confined to Thylethlume, avoiding Asvetaesi and the Gavanas of the Forgotten Ruins, and cutting off all contact with the outside world.

Everything changed the day Yu Yuan aided White Bone in the Land of Terror, transforming him into a God of Ghosts, a being unprecedented in history. As the news of White Bone's ascension to Evil King Yu Xi spread, the Yu family's fortunes began to improve.

Subsequently, Yu Yuan confronted the Skyblight Cult, compelling them to relinquish the lands of the Terror Claws, who then extended invitations to the extraterrestrial powers.

Time passed, and Yu Yuan ventured into the Moonfall Sanctuary. Zu Ann ascended to godhood, and Untamed made his stance known to the world. As a result, Yan Gui defected from the Devil Palace, aligning with the Boulderdawn.

With these developments, Qin Yun and the Yu family could finally leave Thylethlume and reestablish themselves in Asvetaesi.

However, when Yu Yuan vanished into the Domain Channel, uncertainty once again plagued Qin Yun and the Yu family. Qin Yun resigned himself to the possibility that this was the end of their journey.

But unexpectedly, news of Yu Yuan surfaced once more! Yu Ying of the Yu family returned with updates on Yu Yuan, still maintaining her Solar Spirit cultivation level.

From that moment on, Qin Yun realized that he and the entire Yu family were receiving preferential treatment from all quarters, thanks to Yu Yuan. A series of miracles ensued.

Dragon Lake liberated Yu Jue, who had been detained for years. Yu Jue reunited with Jin Rourou, and together they were escorted back to Asvetaesi by a cultivator of the Unbound rank from the Colddeath Divine Cult.

Following these events, the Sacred Hands and the merchants of the Serpent Spine Mountains extended generous offers, creating new settlements for the Yu family to thrive in.

The Yu family had designated areas for a medicinal field, Herb Mountain, and the mines to cultivate medicinal herbs. The patriarch, Yu Cen, was overjoyed with the return of his sister, son, and daughter-in-law, his face aglow with happiness, and he experienced a breakthrough in his realm.

At that time, a Spectre visited the Land of Terror, reportedly under the Ghost King's orders, to escort him there. The Yu family had grown accustomed to the privileges afforded by the Land of Terror, and Yu Cen was well aware that their revered ancestor was the God of Ghosts of the forbidden area. He gladly accepted the invitation.

Prosperity had come to the Yu family; the younger members had access to an abundance of pills and soulstones, while those slightly older with suitable potential were eagerly recruited by the Forgeroses, Starmoon Sect, and various trading houses.

Any Yu family member who advanced to the Lunar Spirit Realm could move freely within the Land of Terror. Qin Yun, during his time in the Spirit Walk Realm, was guided by Taruer to select the perfect Shadow Mountain, repeatedly purifying his Lunar Spirit in pursuit of the next breakthrough.

His departure from the Land of Terror was driven by his ambition to ascend to the Solar Spirit Realm, a realm unsuitable for the ghostly inhabitants of that place. Taruer, Tong Laoqian, and Tan Yuan kept a watchful eye on him as he ventured to the Frozen Hellscape to challenge the Solar Spirit. The Skyreach Consortium had even provided the necessary magic items for constructing his Solar Spirit, free of charge.

Reflecting on his journey over the years, Qin Yun felt as though he was living a dream. Back in the Crimson Sun Empire, as the sect master of the Midnightshields and only at the Lunar Spirit Realm, he had never imagined receiving such treatment. In contrast, the esteemed cultivators from the Land of Quiescence viewed the so-called Lunar Spirits of various empires with disdain, sometimes even dispatching them from the shadows.

How could those days compare to his current glory?

"You don't need to wait for his return to the Everlands. Once you forge your Solar Spirit, I'll arrange for you to travel to the extraterrestrial Star River and meet him there!" Tong Laoqian assured him with confidence.

He had received word from the Skyreach Consortium that Yu Yuan had been spotted in the Darkpinion Star River, and was currently in Greenshadow.

The Deathwing Lair in Darkpinion and the Nest of Perdition in Godsblight Marsh were both connected, belonging to the same secular bird, allowing passage between them.

This was something he had learned during his time in Ionodios.

Therefore, he was convinced that once the Deathwing Lair in Greenshadow stabilized, they could travel there to meet Yu Yuan.

However, Tong Laoqian was unaware of the significant events that had unfolded in the Glimmerdrift Nebula and that Yu Yuan had taken the Wintermaw to the extraterrestrial star river.

He assumed that Yu Yuan was temporarily unable to return to the Everlands, fearing that the formidable experts from the five supreme forces would ambush him upon his return.

His information was outdated, as were the updates regarding Tan Yuan and Taruer.

"Extraterrestrial!"

Qin Yun's expression brightened, his eyes brimming with longing. Having finally settled at the bottom of the Wintermaw, he embraced the chilling aura, which clashed with the fiery energy of his soul and body. "It feels like an eternity since I last saw our young master's grace! I appreciate your assistance and hope we can succeed on our first attempt!"

"Enough chatter, let's get on with it!" Taruer pressed.

Tan Yuan laughed softly, "There are seven individuals from the lower sects nearby. Unable to venture to the Land of Terror, they've come here instead. Mr. Qin, please proceed with refining your Solar Spirit. Trust me, the sight of Taruer and me will have those from the lower sects steering clear."

"With our protection, you can rest easy," Tong Laoqian boomed with laughter.

"Many thanks!"

Qin Yun bowed slightly, meticulously arranging the translucent Fire Crystals.

Then, from his forehead, Dawn Arrows emerged.

Each arrow was etched with a hundred specks of fiery brilliance, forming an intricate array that resonated with his Lunar Spirit.

He continued to extract various fire-attributed soulstones, pills, and divine crystals, placing them around himself to construct a Mana Nexus.

Once the arcane circle was activated, an orange light barrier enveloped him and all the magic items that had undergone breakthroughs.

At that moment, he inhaled deeply. Only then did a red phantom appear on his forehead.

"I'm a bit late..."

Dozens of miles away, Yu Yuan utilized the power of the Dragon Slaying Stage to clearly observe the movements of Qin Yun, Tong Laoqian, and Tan Yuan.

He hadn't expected Qin Yun to delay his breakthrough to the Solar Spirit for so long.

"With Tong Laoqian, Tan Yuan, and Taruer present, there shouldn't be any issues."

After observing in secret for some time, he detected no threats in the nearby sea that could disrupt Qin Yun's breakthrough.

Seeing that Qin Yun had commenced, he sent a wisp of his consciousness to hover near Qin Yun and the others, watching over them in silence.

Several other wisps of his consciousness roamed other parts of the Frozen Hellscape, one near Kong Banbi and his group, another near Su Yan, keeping an eye on the bigger picture.

Multitasking, he continued to ponder and observe the peculiarities of the pit without interruption.

Simultaneously, his Lunar Spirit left the Mindscape and entered the inner workings of the Dragon Slaying Stage.

He arrived at the location of the Wintermaw.

The Frost Well, several times larger than the one in the Dark Realm, was constructed from stacks of Ice Shards and refined with space magic, granting it the power to pierce through the void.

"What would happen if I pulled it out?" Yu Yuan mused.

He was aware that his presence in the Frozen Hellscape was far from a secret.

From the moment he showed up on Dragon Island, every action of his was under scrutiny.

The Dark Deities and primordial spirits of the five greatest powers had been watching him for so long; surely they were aware of his true intentions?

Since they knew and still allowed him to proceed, they likely hoped he would assist the Everlands by reuniting the pit guarded by Gu Xingkui with the Wintermaw he had brought from the Glimmerdrift Nebula.

"I haven't found a suitable Astral Domain. The Wintermaw isn't in the Star River of the outside world, but here. Pulling it out won't successfully connect the pit to the extraterrestrial realms. However, causing a bit of a stir should be manageable."

As his thoughts turned, he gazed upon the remaining Wintermaw Mouths, considering the four powers and the Untamed. With their residual souls present, any disturbances could be swiftly rectified.

"Let's give it a try!"

As the sole deity within the Dragon Slaying Stage, his resolve called forth an echo from the cosmic order.

Boom!

Submerged in the ice rock, the Wintermaw Mouth, now complete with the essence of ice magic, began to emerge piece by piece.

In a flash, the Wintermaw Mouth materialized from his Shenque acupoint, deep within the enigmatic bowels of the Wintermaw.

The silvery glow of the Wintermaw Mouth appeared and instantly resonated with the guarded pit under Gu Xingkui's watch.

They seemed to be inherently unified, indistinguishable from one another.

The Wintermaw Mouth, eager and unhesitating, moved towards the sealed pit.

Yu Yuan observed in silence, making no move to intervene, awaiting the impending transformation.
