C1487 Halfawake Rovi

In front of the thatched hut, Canli and Lau Ying stood atop the Fallen Star Eyes, their gazes fixed intently on the jade platform that mirrored the Colorful Lake. As Tan Junshan's crescent moon soared from the lake, followed by Yu Yuan's departure, the image within the jade platform began to blur abruptly.

Boom!

A burst of interwoven light erupted from the platform, causing Canli and Lau Ying, both channeling their bloodlines, to turn deathly pale. Fong Zhong and the visiting dignitaries from the Medicine God Sect, encircling the Fallen Star Eyes, felt a sense of foreboding.

"Mr. Fong, our surveillance has been tampered with," Lau Ying said, spreading her hands in a gesture of resignation to Fong Zhong. "Nonetheless, I believe there's no cause for concern. With the elder of the Nagas, our sect's Elder Tan, and the emperor of men involved, I'm confident they'll emerge shortly."

A flicker of hope sparkled in her eyes. Upon seeing Yu Yuan emerge unscathed from the Colorful Lake, Lau Ying was reassured, anticipating a reunion with him before long.

"I share your sentiment," Canli said with a smile.

The girls' unwavering trust in Yu Yuan left Fong Zhong at a loss for words. "Let's hope all is well," he murmured to himself, his brow furrowed in concern. Within the Fallen Star Eyes, the visage of the Ghost God White Bone remained elusive.

Yuen Qingxi, the Earth Demon, and Huangyin all cast occasional, peculiar glances in the same direction—a blind spot of the Fallen Star Eyes, an area beyond revelation. It was precisely in this blind spot that the White Bone had once appeared. Fong Zhong was deep in thought.

...

Crack!

A slender, radiant blade of light materialized behind Tan Junshan, amidst the crescent moons. Above, within the vibrant clouds, more giant blades of light, as if yanked from another realm, began to appear en masse.

Rovi, with one eye as colorful as the lake, watched as Loong Jie fell silent, then chose to make his move. His withered arm reached towards the surface of the Colorful Lake in a pulling motion.

Whoosh!

A thick, dark green bone with razor-sharp ends landed in his swiftly swelling hand. Grasping the center of the bone lightly, Rovi cast a glance at Tan Junshan and said, "You seem to know me well, having fished that young man out of the lake. But do you truly believe you can make an easy escape after descending here?"

A burst of colorful light suddenly erupted from the section of bone that he was holding!

In an instant, the spear-like bone vanished from the palm of his hand.

With a resounding boom, the crescent moon behind Tan Junshan was shattered by the two sharp ends of the bone.

Tan Junshan's face turned pale, and without further hesitation, he summoned his Dharma.

His Dharma, which should have been towering and immense, was condensed into a crescent moon stone through his extreme focus and refinement.

The remaining crescent moon began to whirl around the crescent moon stone that had materialized within his Dharma.

The pristine moonlight that spilled forth carried a soothing aura that could cleanse the spirit, bringing peace to all living souls and dampening their desire for combat.

Hiss! Hiss!

Moon Blades soared into the sky, colliding with the Space Light Blades that burst forth from the colorful clouds, creating a dazzling shower of light.

"Stop wasting time and get out of here fast!"

Tan Junshan's voice, urgent and pressing, emanated from the diminutive Moon Blade.

"That won't work on me."

A tiny crescent also appeared in Rovi's vibrant eyes. Tan Junshan's secret arts lasted but a fleeting second before vanishing with Rovi's blink.

"Senior Dragon, Mister Chen, beware of the omnipresent doors!"

Tan Junshan's voice echoed once more from the authentic Moon Blade. The crescent moons transformed into crystal fragments the size of fingernails, fusing into the Moon Blade.

The Moon Blade abruptly shrank to the size of a grain of rice and continued to ascend, nimbly evading the doors to different spaces amidst the colorful clouds.

Amidst the cascade of light, this tiny point of silver brilliance darted and weaved with an elegant path.

Tan Junshan, whose Dharma was as grand as the full moon yet as minute as a mustard seed, recognized he was outmatched by Rovi and was intent on making his escape.

"He's quite the clever one."

Rovi nodded, and palm-sized swaths of colorful clouds moved even faster to intercept the minuscule moonlight.

Each cloud matched a secret door he had previously investigated, marking its precise coordinates.

Should Tan Junshan's Dharma, now as small as a grain of rice, blunder into any of these doors, he would find himself in a bleak, desolate, and unknown space.

There was even the risk that he would emerge within a spatial fissure, instantly torn asunder by the Space Edge.

Don't even mention Tan Junshan; even the Demon Gods of the Demon Palace and those supreme beings of the vast expanse would suffer grievous harm if they were dragged into a spatial rift.

Or they might even perish within it.

"Go!"

A bone that had shattered a crescent moon radiated a spectrum of light in the sky, its sharp spearhead aiming at Loong Jie.

With a roar, Loong Jie dipped slightly, transforming in a flash from his human shape to a resplendent dragon form stretching tens of thousands of meters long.

It resembled a golden fortress extending across Colorful Lake.

Bathed in the amplified light from Chen Liangquan's fractured crystal, the golden dragon scales cast a brilliant glow over the entire Colorful Lake and all the tainted realms within Yu Yuan's sight.

Yu Yuan felt the world's rules and the Great Dao subtly shift wherever the golden light touched.

The sharp bone, thrusting towards Loong Jie, seemed no more than a toothpick compared to the vast dragon's body.

It managed to shatter just one of the dragon's scales.

"This Golden Dragon is indeed remarkable..."

Rovi expressed mild astonishment.

As Loong Jie unveiled his dragon form, the concealed laws of the Foul World began to shift, becoming more conducive to his combat style and impacting the spatial secret doors he had opened.

Some of these doors, upon contact with Loong Jie, were obliterated by the primal laws, bursting into showers of colorful light.

"He is the most pure-blooded Golden Dragon in the vast expanse today. Had he been born a hundred thousand years earlier, Loong Jie would have been the Dragon God, commanding the entire Naga."

"Don't underestimate Loong Jie. Without the Dragon Slash Platform, even the five greatest forces couldn't contain him."

"Another point, the laws of nature have indeed undergone changes recently."

"They've become exceedingly accommodating to the Dragon Race..."

Xuanying's voice emanated from her deep purple pupils.

Assuming the form of a shadowy demon, she accompanied Rovi in battle, detailing Loong Jie's lineage and the extent of his formidable nature.

"Yes, because we, the Void Spirit Succubus, are most familiar with the Space-time Dragon, we overlooked the Golden Dragon. I nearly forgot, the fabled Golden Dragon God was once the leader of the Dragon Race. That being, with a tenth-level dragon body, could penetrate all barriers and defenses."

"Pierce through all the stars, lands, and the very fabric of space."

Rovi murmured softly.

"Fortunately, Loong Jie has not yet ascended to Dragon God status. His bloodline is merely at the pinnacle of the Ninth Level. No matter how refined his dragon blood is, Ninth Level is Ninth Level! Without reaching the Tenth Level, the most fearsome power of the bloodline laws cannot be awakened, so he stands no chance against me."

Rovi approached Chen Liangquan with a calm demeanor.

Chen Liangquan's face was somber.

Yu Yuan, standing atop the Dragon Slash Platform, was taken aback.

Rovi had managed to reclaim some control over the pill furnace from Xuanying by invoking the abilities of the Space-time Dragon. Yet, Rovi's initial assault targeted Tan Junshan, Loong Jie, and Chen Liangquan.

It was as if Yu Yuan had been momentarily overlooked and forgotten by Rovi.

On the lake, Yuen Qingxi and Huangyin maintained their silence, not even murmuring among themselves.

Their focus remained fixed on Rovi, seemingly convinced that Rovi would surely emerge victorious should he choose to strike.

"Little, Little Qi..."

A faint ripple of a soul emanated from the pill furnace beneath him, carrying the soft call of his senior brother.

Yu Yuan glanced down and noticed that his senior brother had ceased his frenzied assault on the furnace lid, having regained his composure.

Du Yazi had mentioned that his senior brother often regained a moment of lucidity after long bouts of madness.

"Senior Brother!" Yu Yuan's heart swelled with emotion. "You're awake? Have you finally come to? I have so many questions for you, I..." His words tumbled out in his excitement.

"First, let me out. I have things to discuss with you," Zhong Chichen said, his face twisted in pain.

"Of course! Of course!" Yu Yuan quickly stepped aside from the furnace lid and crouched in front of the pill furnace, asking with concern, "How are you feeling? You..."

"I feel wonderful, better than I ever have before."

Zhong Chichen's smile grew as the pain on his face faded away.

As Yu Yuan took flight, Zhong Chichen pushed off the pill furnace lid and hovered in midair. "Three hundred years... I never imagined we would reunite like this, in a world overrun by Earth Demons and specters."
