C1582 The Creation of the Most High
Through Ann Ziqing, Yu Yuan, and the enigmatic entities from the depths of the Primal Blood Continent, a profound connection was forged. This connection allowed him to witness a series of marvels.
Many years prior, a dark red star was graced by the descent of a massive violet-golden spinosaurus. This majestic creature boasted expansive wings and Sunsilver claws. Upon settling on the star, it entrusted its heart to the subterranean depths. There, its heart underwent a sacred refinement within the core of the star, imbued with a wondrous power. The spinosaurus lay in repose atop the dark red star, absorbing teachings and awaiting the metamorphosis of its heart. Once reclaimed, the heart prompted its departure from the star.
In the aftermath, the Titan Spinosaurus embarked on a journey through the Star River, growing ever more formidable as it hunted cosmic giant beasts. It became an unstoppable force.
The very dark red star that the Titan Spinosaurus once visited is the current location of Ann Ziqing and the present-day Primal Blood Continent. It was the first to receive the favor of the subterranean creature, granted the full Secrets of Life, and with it, a transformed heart. As a result, it ascended to become the unrivaled sovereign of the Star River.
The Titan Spinosaurus once served as the spokesperson for the subterranean creatures, an embodiment of their external will. Then, the narrative shifted.
Years later, a mysterious river of blood descended upon the dark red star, seeking contact with the subterranean creature, but to no avail. Subsequently, a Sky Fiend from the extraterrestrial realms invaded this Astral Domain, plummeting onto the dark red star. The Sky Fiend, in its ethereal form, was chosen by the blood river. Submerged within it, the Fiend acquired a corporeal body and became a member of the Blood Fiend tribe.
At that juncture, the Blood Fiend tribe members were still mastering their strength and delving into the intricacies of vital energy. In those early days, they had yet to produce even a ninth-level warrior, and the concept of a Demon God was beyond their reach.
Then, a colossal green fish breached the Star River. Upon entering the dark red star, it dove deep underground, striving to engage with the entity ensconced within the star's core, eager to earn its favor.
The massive green fish, deep underground, was besieged by countless Blood Fiend warriors and also contended with a river of blood. It managed to escape, though it was riddled with injuries. Yet, as the green giant departed, its crimson and silver-white eyes sparkled with excitement and surprise, suggesting it had gained something valuable.
However, its departure seemed to be a catalyst for the Blood Fiend. They surged in power, with numerous ninth-level experts emerging and the birth of a Great Demon God. The green giant's fortunes after leaving appeared grim, and it never returned to that place.
The river of blood within the star grew stronger, and the Blood Fiend rose in might, becoming a high-ranking race known across the heavens. Together, they fiercely protected the dark red star, forbidding any foreign entities or living beings from touching the subterranean creature.
The original overlord, created by the subterranean creature, had long since perished under the onslaught of many giant beasts.
Boom!
Visions cascaded from Ann Ziqing's little world of vitality into Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit. As Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit settled on the Dragon Slaying Stage, transformed into an Altar of Rebirth, he instinctively understood the events that had transpired.
The Dragon Slaying Stage, supporting the Altar of Rebirth, subtly shifted into vibrant rainbow hues and sent ripples through space. Yu Yuan's real body's space turned surreal, quietly fracturing to release strands of psionic power imbued with the Secrets of Life.
These strands eagerly entered his middle elixir field, integrating with the Altar of Rebirth manifested by his Solar Spirit. As the first wisp of psionic power touched the Altar of Rebirth, his Solar Spirit seemed to forge a true connection with the subterranean creature.
In that instant, he vividly felt the lifeblood he had left within the seven Blood Pools inside Ann Ziqing dry up, as if erased without a trace. The link between him and Ann Ziqing was severed, leaving him unable to sense through her what was happening there any longer.
Yu Yuan no longer needed Ann Ziqing's assistance to communicate directly with the subterranean creatures of the Primal Blood Continent. This was true even when he wasn't on the Primal Blood Continent or within the Dark Star Region. From that moment on, regardless of his location or the Astral Domain he occupied, his unique Solar Spirit remained eternally linked to the subterranean creatures of the Primal Blood Continent.
Following the initial awakening of his life force, Yu Yuan experienced an infusion of even more wondrous life mysteries into his Altar of Rebirth. He became aware that he had received favor and preference. After the Titan Spinosaurus and the Abyssal Leviathan, he too was selected by the enigmatic entity beneath the Primal Blood Continent to be endowed with profound Secrets of Life. The Abyssal Leviathan, however, seemed to have only received a fraction of this gift and its progression was far from smooth.
The Titan Spinosaurus, having reached the Primal Blood Continent before the arrival of the Solar Meridian, had offered its heart willingly and, after prolonged contact, obtained the complete Secrets of Life. Thus, the Spinosaurus ascended to become the sovereign of the cosmos, the most powerful being in the Infinite Galaxy before the Demon God Bertain.
Yu Yuan devoted himself to the task at hand, harnessing the spatial wonders of the Dragon Slaying Stage at the edge of the Dark Star Region to draw in the gifts from beneath the Primal Blood Continent.
Crack! Crack!
Deep within the Primal Blood Continent, Ann Ziqing was struck by terror as she witnessed all seven Blood Pools within her little world shatter. She felt an overwhelming weakness, as if all her vital energy had been drained in an instant. Moreover, she could no longer sense Yu Yuan's presence.
Simultaneously, her Solar Spirit, bathed in the Bloody River, heeded the commands of the Solar Meridian. She gradually made her way toward the Solar Meridian, ready to wholeheartedly embrace the Root of the Solar Spirit. She intended to integrate her Lunar Spirit and dominant soul with the Solar Meridian, merging with it to ascend to the Unbound realm. She knew that once she voluntarily merged with the Root of the Solar Meridian, she would be unable to escape its influence.
She would be bound to the Root of the Solar Meridian, pledged to eternal loyalty just like the Demon God Grec, Munch, and all her kin from the Blood Fiend tribe. Yet, the thought of her father's destiny left her with no regrets and no turning back.
"It's over, just like that?"
The Abyssal Leviathan, now appearing as a gaunt old man, had only just left the boundary of the Star River, seeking entry into a remote region governed by the evilkind. He was eager to find a pathway within their domain that he could utilize, as he was in a rush to reach the area nearest to the Dark Star. But suddenly, he realized he could no longer sense Ann Ziqing. Likewise, the object that Ann Ziqing had used to locate him had also gone silent.
His initial thought was that Ann Ziqing had merged with the Root of the Solar Meridian, and the lifeform connected to him had been absorbed along with it. Without Ann Ziqing as an intermediary, he was unable to communicate with the subterranean creature. Even upon reaching the fringe of the Dark Star, he was at a loss for what to do next. This mirrored the countless times he had arrived at the boundary of the Dark Star in the past, only to gaze upon the red moon and the direction of the Primal Blood Continent, attempting to connect through the life essence in his heart. Regrettably, he had never received a response.
Stricken with a sudden loss of direction, the Abyssal Leviathan came to a halt, uncertain of his next move. He knew that rushing there without caution would likely yield nothing, repeating the patterns of the past. Yet, he couldn't bear the thought of not trying, of not taking a chance to see for himself. After much hesitation, his resolve remained unshaken. Transforming into an enchantress, he continued to search the Star River ahead for an opportunity, for a means to instantly traverse the distance.
...
"The mighty Blood King, forsaking the entire Star River to save his own life, has chosen to consort with the alien beings of the Abyss."
Zhong Chichen watched as Sabonis approached on a Golden Chariot, perched atop a massive butterfly wing, and shook his head in disappointment. "I can tell your soul has not yet been tainted; you're acting of your own volition, unlike the others."
The Voidweaver and Diggs had their souls steeped in the essence of the Origin Deity. Zhong Chichen was highly attuned to such nuances and could make the distinction with clarity. The Voidweaver, Diggs, and the corrupted Uxthar Tree had been ensnared by deception, no longer masters of their own will. Their thoughts and consciousness were being gradually dominated by the "Origin Deity."
Sabonis was unlike the others.
He was lucid, self-aware, and not under the spell of the Origin Deity, which only made him more difficult to handle.
Yet, Zhong Chichen showed no sign of fear. He gazed at Loong Jie, whose head was held high and whose golden eyes sparkled with an unyielding fighting spirit, and nodded with a smile. "True to the golden dragon lineage, renowned for its prowess in battle. My struggles against Han Miaoyuan and his ilk for your sake were not in vain."
"Where do you draw such confidence from?"
The Voidweaver, previously a colossal, colorful butterfly, morphed into the image of Benin, albeit one of a much grander scale than Zhong Chichen and Loong Jie.
The Benin figure, clad in flowing, vibrant garments, stepped across layers of brilliant ripples and swiftly reached the side of the black iron star.
"Chronowyrm, back in the ancient era, we were evenly matched. Now reborn as a human and yet to claim the seat of the Supreme God, what makes you so composed?" the butterfly inquired, puzzled.
"Even if we were evenly matched, you were but the lighter half, and I, the heavier," Zhong Chichen said with a casual smile.
As Sabonis drew closer, myriad golden rules transformed into resplendent golden blades, fully materializing in the star-studded sky above. Zhong Chichen continued, "This generation's Blood King is quite ambitious, coveting Loong Jie's dragon heart to uncover the secrets of the bloodline chain imprinted within, to understand why it represents the pinnacle of the Path of Metal."
Sabonis declared firmly, "Indeed, that is my intent!"
His gaze was fervent. From the annals of past Blood Kings, he knew that upon the ascension of a golden dragon to godhood, a new bloodline chain would emerge within its heart. If the Shura could slay it before it fully matured, they could seize the dragon heart and decipher its mysteries...
Thus, the Shura might reach the zenith of the Path of Metal.
But the Shura alone, even against an incomplete golden dragon, had little chance of victory.
They would need to enlist outside help!
"Wishful thinking," Zhong Chichen said, his eyes brimming with mockery. He shook his head, still smiling, and addressed Lin Daoke, "Han Miaoyuan tasked you with accompanying us precisely to avert such an outcome. Should you withhold your sword, and the Everlands' very foundation crumbles at the hands of the Origin Deity, we'll all be doomed."
"Lin Daoke!"
"Lin Daoke!"
Upon hearing the name, the Voidweaver, Blood King Sabonis, and Diggs immediately showed signs of alarm on their faces.
