C1591 The Young Beast's Feeding Again

In the desolate and uninhabited region of Kobran, the Abyssal Leviathan pursued them, shouting incessantly. It had not taken on the form of a giant beast but remained in human shape as it landed behind Yu Yuan and Zhou Cangmin, continuing, "Sabonis is a goner. No one can save him now! Well, I'm actually eager to see Loong Jie become the mightiest golden dragon. The world is chaotic enough as it is; it's high time for the Nagas to regain their strength, and I think that's fantastic!"

Yu Yuan and Zhou Cangmin were equally stunned by the Abyssal Leviathan's revelation. They had not anticipated that the Blood King Sabonis would conspire with the Origin Deity, plotting to assassinate Loong Jie and Zhong Chichen in extraterrestrial realms. They were unaware that Han Miaoyuan had anticipated such treachery and had strategically placed Lin Daoke as a secret weapon. Sabonis's attempt to outwit had backfired, resulting in catastrophe. He had not only endangered Diggs but had also put himself at risk.

"Han Miaoyuan is indeed a master strategist, and Lin Daoke... is excessively powerful," Yu Yuan murmured to himself.

Although the Abyssal Leviathan did not explicitly mention Han Miaoyuan, Yu Yuan, having attended the council and witnessed Lin Daoke in action, understood that Lin Daoke's timely intervention must have been prompted by Han Miaoyuan. Otherwise, Lin Daoke would not have appeared so promptly.

Lin Daoke's arrival had nearly resulted in Diggs's immediate demise. The Voidweaver had lost a wing and had narrowly escaped destruction... The combat prowess of the Sword Sect's Master earned Yu Yuan's deep respect.

"Senior, how did you come by this information?" Zhou Cangmin inquired with reverence.

Transformed into a gaunt old man, the Abyssal Leviathan huffed, "I bestow upon significant individuals a drop of my Sunsorrow. Anyone infused with it remains linked to me. No matter my location, I can sense those who have merged with my Sunsorrow."

Upon hearing this, Yu Yuan cast a wary glance at him.

"Indeed. Wherever you were, I could always sense your presence. Even if you were across the Star River, with a bit of effort, I could pinpoint your location with crystal clarity," the Abyssal Leviathan said, his eyes gleaming with arrogance.

"I've figured it out," Yu Yuan grumbled.

For years, he'd had this nagging suspicion that he was being watched, occasionally feeling a sudden unease.

Back then, it was likely the Abyssal Leviathan observing him from another part of the Star River, using the Altar of Rebirth within him to gauge his level of cultivation and the robustness of his flesh and blood.

Now, the Abyssal Leviathan had confirmed his capabilities and admitted to having used them.

Piecing together the Leviathan's statements and his own intuition, Yu Yuan surmised that the cosmic giant beast might have nurtured numerous key individuals with Sunsorrow to act as his informants.

When necessary, he could tap into those who carried his Sunsorrow to stay abreast of significant developments across the Star River.

He might appear to be a lone warrior, but in the shadows, he had his secret allies.

"None of the extraterrestrial races dare assist Sabonis. When Cardo and Ballo learned of his collusion with the Origin Deity, they abandoned him. And with the natural suppression from the Way of Heaven of the golden dragon, Sabonis's odds were slim, especially after Loong Jie's ascension. With the Chronowyrm against him, he had nowhere to flee..."

The Abyssal Leviathan took pleasure in Sabonis's predicament, taunting, "Foolish fellow, defying Bertain's orders. He really thought he could, as the Blood King, stand against Bertain?"

Even the cosmic giant beast showed a clear sense of dread when mentioning the Demon God Bertain.

"In Bertain's eyes, no one but the Titan Spinosaurus is a worthy adversary. If he wishes for Sabonis's demise, it's as good as done."

"Loong Jie, regardless of his achievements, poses no threat to Demon God Bertain."

"Conversely, the Dark Phoenix will be troubled by the successive deifications of Loong Jie and the Chronowyrm."

...

The Abyssal Leviathan had been confined in the Embers Sea within the Everlands for eons, enduring the Dark Phoenix's extraction of his flesh and blood, all while the Phoenix sought to unravel the Secrets of Life etched into his very heart.

Occasionally, the Dark Phoenix would engage in casual conversation with him. As a result, he learned numerous secrets about the Everlands from her. Generations of those who trained in the Embers Sea often shared significant events from the Everlands, and his understanding of the region might even surpass that of some sect elders.

"You'd be pleased to see Loong Jie slay Blood King Sabonis and restore the golden dragon to its mightiest form, wouldn't you? Anything that annoys the Dark Phoenix and gives her a headache brings you joy, right?" Yu Yuan asked, his face betraying a curious expression.

"Why shouldn't I be happy?!" The Abyssal Leviathan's eyes brimmed with towering hatred. "If she hadn't trapped me in the Everlands, if she hadn't left me in a state of perpetual injury, I would be soaring through the cosmos!"

Yu Yuan was about to respond when his eyes suddenly reflected surprise. In a flash, a kaleidoscope of psionic power, streams of light, and various impurities converged from all directions toward Kobran. Specifically, they were drawn to the Dragon Slaying Stage in his grasp.

Inside the Dragon Slaying Stage, a rich surge of divine force emerged. All the absorbed psionic power was cleansed and purified upon entry, transforming into pure spiritual energy. Yu Yuan instantly realized that the fledgling within the violet-gold dragon egg had begun to feed once more.

The young creature, now growing steadily, had a simple way of feeding. Placed in an area suffused with cosmic energy, it could draw upon all available energy from the outside world through the Dragon Slaying Stage. It was capable of ingesting and refining any form of energy, converting it directly into pristine spiritual energy—a testament to the innate magical abilities of the Titan Spinosaurus.

"Whoa!" Zhou Cangmin cried out, startled. He sensed the tumultuous energy pouring in from outside Kobran, rushing madly toward the Dragon Slaying Stage in Yu Yuan's hands. Uncertain of what was unfolding, he called out while gazing over with curiosity.

The Abyssal Leviathan, with a dark expression, also stared at the Dragon Slaying Stage with a peculiar look in its eyes. Nearly all cosmic giant beasts could bolster themselves with cosmic energy, but the efficiency and methods of absorption varied greatly among species.

The Abyssal Leviathan was aware that the Dragon Slaying Stage, crafted from the cocoon of a Voidweaver, might possess the ability to assimilate cosmic energy.

However, based on his knowledge of the Voidweaver, Yu Yuan knew that not even the creature itself, let alone its cocoon, could match the current absorption efficiency of the Dragon Slaying Stage.

Suddenly, the withered form of the Abyssal Leviathan materialized before Yu Yuan, its hand outstretched, attempting to touch the Dragon Slaying Stage. "Stop," Yu Yuan commanded, his icy gaze falling upon the scaly hand.

Recalling his recent encounter with the Abyssal Leviathan, Yu Yuan halted the creature's hand mid-motion and spoke gravely, "Kid, the tremendous fortune you've gained on the Primal Blood Continent is enough to make the Dark Phoenix envious. You must avoid meeting the Dark Phoenix and steer clear of returning to the Everlands for the time being."

Yu Yuan's brow furrowed. "Dark Phoenix..." From what he'd learned from the Untamed and the Abyssal Leviathan's accounts, the Dark Phoenix assumed the role of the Root of the Solar Meridian in the Everlands, with the blood of all its creatures seemingly forming the foundation of her power. And that might just be the tip of the iceberg.

The Dark Phoenix, with her insatiable hunger for vital energy and life power, must be aware of the other mysteries that lie deep beneath the Primal Blood Continent, beyond the Root of the Solar Meridian. She likely couldn't wrest these underground secrets from the grasp of the Solar Meridian and the Blood Fiend within the Dark Star domain. Perhaps she had attempted to do so but failed every time.

Having suffered setbacks, the Dark Phoenix grew wary of the Dark Star and the Primal Blood Continent, reluctant to venture there herself. Yet, if she were to learn of the many life-separate mysteries imprinted within her own Solar Spirit, considering her nature...

With this thought, Yu Yuan's expression grew more solemn. "Believe me, the moment you encounter the Dark Phoenix, she'll sense what has transpired within you," the Abyssal Leviathan warned, casting a sidelong glance at Zhou Cangmin. It seemed to suddenly recall that the man before it was affiliated with one of the Everlands' Five Great Forces, and it snapped irritably, "Get lost! You're with the Ruby Hand; you're one of them!"

Zhou Cangmin stepped back awkwardly, yet he did not retreat further into Kobran, showing no desire to depart.

The Ruby Hand is distinct from the Shadow's Keep; they're unrelated. Moreover, I am a human from the Everlands, not an archdemon," Zhou Cangmin clarified.

"You're no good, I can tell!" the Abyssal Leviathan bellowed angrily.

The High Oracle was at a loss for words. He noticed that the legendary cosmic giant beast, known for its exceptional cruelty and cunning, appeared to be in an extremely volatile emotional state.

What on earth had Yu Yuan done? What had he taken to cause such fury?

Zhou Cangmin's gaze took on an odd expression.

"The Dark Phoenix is after me and she's out to kill you as well, so..." The Abyssal Leviathan paused briefly, "We share a common foe. For the moment, we need to devise a strategy to confront the Dark Phoenix. As long as she lives, she poses a significant and perpetual threat to us both!"

"I understand. I'll exercise greater caution," Yu Yuan acknowledged, examining the Dragon Slaying Stage in his grasp. "It contains the residual power of the Chronowyrm. If I encounter the Dark Phoenix in the vast expanse of the Star River, I should be able to make a quick getaway."

"No, you won't be able to get away," the Abyssal Leviathan countered, shaking its head.

Yu Yuan was taken aback. "Is she truly that formidable?"

"Only a living, genuine Chronowyrm that has reached the status of a tenth-level Dragon God could escape her clutches. You're not up to the task!"
