C1593 Why Was He so Longlived?
Within the heart of the snow bear from the Frostlands, the bloodline chain connected to its lifespan was infused with a rich breath of life. This breath of life was even more concentrated and pure than that found in the blood of the Abyssal Leviathan. However, there was no bloodline chain within the snow bear's heart that held the Secrets of Life. Nonetheless, the section linked to its longevity appeared to be enhanced by the breath of life.
Thin strands of this breath of life entwined around a corner of the snow bear's heart, alongside several delicate bloodline chains resembling Ice Shards. Yu Yuan observed them with exceptional clarity. He then attempted to perceive them using his Solar Spirit. In a moment of reverie, he managed to retrieve a long-lost memory from the distant Primal Blood Continent, a memory that was surprisingly connected to the snow bear.
Many years prior, after the departure of the Titan Spinosaurus and before the discovery of the Root of the Solar Meridian, a group of snow bears had made their way to the Primal Blood Continent. These snow bears, fond of frigid environments and attuned to the hidden places of extreme cold, were not drawn by the subterranean creature of the Primal Blood Continent. Instead, they were lured by the most intense coldness between heaven and earth.
The snow bear tribe underwent transformation and bloodline advancement by absorbing the Arctic Breath. The tribe's leader, while passing through the Dark Star region, sensed a chilling ice energy deep within the Primal Blood Continent that caused even it to shudder. Consequently, the leader led its tribe across vast distances to settle on the Primal Blood Continent.
Upon their arrival, they delved into the depths of the earth and actually encountered the ultimate cold current. The weaker snow bears instantly shattered into fragments of ice upon contact with this frigid flow. The tribe's leader, however, managed to endure and began drawing in the cold energy to fortify its own body.
The intense cold surrounding the subterranean mystery also carried traces of the breath of life, which the snow bear leader assimilated along with the cold energy into its body. Even this minuscule amount of the breath of life brought significant benefits to the leader. Alien beasts that thrive in such extreme cold typically enjoy longer lifespans than other species. By absorbing the cold energy and integrating it with the breath of life from the depths of the Primal Blood Continent, the snow bear leader had effectively harnessed a vast quantity of the Abyssal Leviathan's blood.
Therefore, it could live for an incredibly long time.
However, the breath of life it received was not intentionally crafted by the enigmatic subterranean creature. This creature remained in a dormant state, enveloped in extreme cold, and some of the breath of life that seeped out, mingled with the Arctic Breath, was absorbed by the snow bear, causing its life force to surge.
Yet, the snow bear lacked a new bloodline chain within its body, and so it too would eventually die.
One day, the Root of the Solar Meridian descended upon the Primal Blood Continent and plunged into the depths of the earth.
The weaker members of the snow bear clan perished almost instantly.
Only the mightiest snow bear managed to escape, grievously wounded—it was much like the Abyssal Leviathan.
For countless years thereafter, it wandered through various Frozen Worlds, unable to return to the Dark Star or approach the Primal Blood Continent again.
Even the Abyssal Leviathan, a cosmic giant beast, had to keep its distance after the Solar Meridian took over the Primal Blood Continent and spawned the Blood Fiend Clan.
It was merely an alien beast from beyond the stars, with the ninth level being the pinnacle for its kind, and no tenth-level alien beast had yet emerged.
The Blood Fiends, born of the Solar Meridian, soon saw the rise of a Demon God among them, making the snow bear even less hopeful of returning.
Unlike the Abyssal Leviathan, its heart did not form a new bloodline chain associated with the Secrets of Life.
As it drew in the cold air and faint breath of life, the entity remained asleep, never truly bestowing its favor or imparting the profound meaning of life.
It could only live slightly longer; without the secrets tied to the Secrets of Life, it held little value.
Neither the Solar Meridian, the vast Everlands, nor the Dark Phoenix would concern themselves with its survival, nor would they scour the lands in search of it.
Thus, its predicament was far more favorable than that of the Abyssal Leviathan.
"I see," Yu Yuan murmured to himself, understanding the secret to the snow bear's longevity. He squinted and examined the creature more closely, noting that its heart was densely packed with bloodlines infused with Ice Shard essence, which held remarkable and intricate mysteries.
Regrettably...
All alien beasts from beyond the Everlands appeared incapable of surpassing the tenth level of the Heavenly Chasm.
The ninth level was their zenith.
The snow bear from the Frostlands was truly remarkable. It could draw ice energy from the ultimate cold at the depths of the Primal Blood Continent, showcasing its exceptional nature.
However, because it couldn't break through to the tenth level and become a Dragon God like the frost wyrm, the profound cold within its bloodline couldn't undergo a fundamental breakthrough and transformation.
Its bloodline's level constrained it, dooming it to stagnation without the prospect of further achievements.
It must have been aware of this, right?
It knew that snow bears like itself would never break the ultimate limit of their bloodline. That's why it went to great lengths to produce the Snow Kid from its lineage.
Was it hopeful that one day the Snow Kid might ascend to the tenth level?
Yu Yuan pondered deeply.
After communicating with the subterranean creatures of the Primal Blood Continent and recalling the Titan Spinosaurus's departure, along with the first memory that flashed in his mind at the Marsh...
The ultimate fire enveloped his soul.
The ultimate ice enveloped his blood.
Before him and the Abyssal Leviathan, the Titan Spinosaurus, born of blood, perished in the Everlands.
Deep within the Everlands, at the core of the Earthfire, lay the ultimate embodiment of the soul.
As the Titan Spinosaurus died in the Everlands, its body became part of the realm, causing a collision of blood and soul. Consequently, the humans of the Everlands could break through to the primordial spirit and achieve immortality.
Thus, the demons and Nagas of the Everlands shattered the ninth-level ceiling of the alien beasts, enabling them to rise to the tenth level.
"If it could break the bloodline barrier of the alien beast and reach the tenth level..."
With this thought, Yu Yuan's gaze upon the snow bear took on a peculiar intensity.
He suddenly realized that he might have harbored this very notion in a distant past life.
Could it be that his first existence, tens of thousands of years ago, shared a harmonious bond with the snow bear, both bearing this aspiration?
Did he seek the strength of the snow bear to delve into the mysteries beneath the Primal Blood Continent and endure the ultimate chill?
The most severe ice energy in the world could shatter even the tiniest thought.
Thus, it is the Earthfire that envelops the soul in the depths of the Everlands, not the extreme cold.
This intense cold has the power to suppress and constrain the soul. For instance, the Bloodbrawlers could not stand tall nor manifest the highest primordial spirit due to the frost wyrm's corpse on the Dragon Slaying Stage.
The deaths of Youyu and Xuanli were due to the frost wyrm's natural suppression of these two supreme Bloodbrawlers.
The extreme cold of the Primal Blood Continent clearly surpasses that of the frost wyrm, representing the true pinnacle of cold in this world.
Even in my first life, with my profound soul mastery, I could only traverse the Earthfire in a pure soul state and was unable to overcome that ultimate cold.
If I couldn't, then surely not even a stronger Demon God like Bertain could surpass it?
Thus, even if Bertain could vanquish the Blood Fiend and the Solar Meridian, he would still be unable to reach the subterranean creatures of the Primal Blood Continent.
The Demon God Bertain might manage to reach the depths of the Everlands and cross the Earthfire.
But with the Root of the Lunar Meridian, the Dark Phoenix, and the many supreme beings of the Everlands present, his journey would likely be fraught with difficulty...
A torrent of chaotic thoughts swirled through Yu Yuan's mind, triggering a cascade of memories and connections.
"Is Taishi alright?"
After Feng Zhong arrived from the Everlands and recounted the recent significant events to Yu Yuan, he turned his attention to the Sky Fiend Indigo Wraith to inquire about the state of affairs in Ionodios.
Upon hearing Taishi's name, Yu Yuan snapped back to reality and asked, "How is his condition?"
"He's alright, just a bit... downcast," the Sky Fiend with a green visage and sharp fangs let out a sigh. "The crucial item has been lost. Initially full of anticipation for Project New Everlands, the allied races have begun to lose faith in us, questioning our capabilities."
Yu Yuan furrowed his brow.
A crucial element of Project New Everlands was the presence of an adult Titan Spinosaurus. The Dark Phoenix's theft of the juvenile Titan Spinosaurus had put the entire project in jeopardy.
With the New Everlands project being closely associated with Boulderdawn, the various races interested in establishing their own New Everlands were likely to reconsider their involvement if the young creatures were not under Boulderdawn's control.
Few were privy to the existence of another Titan Spinosaurus within the Dragon Slaying Stage, Yu Yuan's greatest secret.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
The Wintermaw, as it touched down, shimmered with colorful auroras, heralding the emergence of space magic.
The ethereal voice of Zhong Chichen floated in from an unknown location.
"My dear junior brother, your woman has ventured into the Dark Realm, and this complicates matters for me."
