C1618 The Demon God's Corpse

Andre was the first great Demon God in the history of the Blood Fiend clan. He intended to resurrect a corpse that had been dead for untold years, allowing it to reemerge in the world. After resurrection, Andre would cease to be Andre and instead become the Taixu God-King.

Yu Yuan had not anticipated that the Taixu God-King would prepare such a vessel for him before his return to the Everlands. Taixu had fully assimilated the secrets of Andre's bloodline using a portion of his lifeblood and remnant soul, effectively merging with Andre. After many years of waiting, his time had finally come.

Taixu aimed to resurrect Andre using his own Secrets of Life, granting him a new existence. "Since the Root of the Solar Meridian is present, Grec can be brought back through the resurrection ceremony. To me, your capabilities seem even more miraculous than the Solar Meridian. Once you breathe life power into his heart, Taixu will be revived," Taishi stated with utmost confidence.

"You needn't concern yourself with other matters. Andre is truly dead and will not rise again. Taixu has not only mastered all his bloodline secrets but has also consumed his devil soul with his own spirit."

"His heart may appear shriveled and spent, yet the bloodline chains remain unbroken and intact."

"What he's missing is the pure life power from you. Once his heart starts beating once more, and he begins to draw in vital energy, his heart will generate blood!"

"The new blood will gradually replenish his body, allowing him to recover."

"The restored being will be none other than the God-King Taixu, possessing both Taixu's soul and the Blood Fiend's extraordinary body," Taishi said with a radiant smile, full of anticipation.

Taixu's phantom hovered above Andre's lifeless form, asking with hope, "There shouldn't be any issues, should there?"

"In theory, there shouldn't be. It all seems logical. But I've never attempted this before, so I can't make any promises."

"I believe in you!" Taixu declared with serene conviction. "Ever since I met you, there's been nothing you couldn't achieve. From the moment I learned of your existence in this life, when you began to understand the power of life and created an Altar of Rebirth within yourself, I knew I would be reborn!"

Yu Yuan was deeply moved by Taixu's almost irrational trust in him.

Suddenly, Yu Yuan felt compelled to give his all and not disappoint Taixu's faith.

"Alright!"

Taking a deep breath, he spoke with a grave tone, "Let's not do this outside! Taixu, bring your Blood Fiend corpse to the Dragon Slaying Stage."

"I was thinking the same," Taishi said with a smile.

He then gave a playful wink to Taixu's phantom, "You can also witness the growth rate of another Titan Spinosaurus."

Taixu was taken aback.

Whoosh!

Yu Yuan completely submerged into the Dragon Slaying Stage, activating the internal wall's seal. "Taixu, bring Andre's body and hurry inside."

Taixu's phantom instantly fused with Andre's form.

Andre, resembling a mummified corpse, slowly rose and glided toward the Dragon Slaying Stage.

"I'll remain outside, just in case."

Having visited the Dragon Slaying Stage once before, Taishi was well-acquainted with its conditions and had no further curiosity to explore. "The only concern I might have is the Abyssal Leviathan. That alien beast has left its rare stones drifting nearby, and it could return quite swiftly."

Whoosh!

Possessed by Taixu, Andre entered the Dragon Slaying Stage with Yu Yuan's permission.

He arrived at the spot where Yu Yuan had previously roused Taishi.

Descending from above, Taixu laid eyes on the purple-gold dragon egg, keenly aware of the Titan Spinosaurus's presence and the immense energy it radiated.

"Only you could achieve so many wonders," Taixu remarked with admiration.

The other Titan Spinosaurus had clearly grown significantly. He could sense the intricate web of bloodline chains from the Old Titans within the young creature's heart, shining with an enchanting divine light.

The young beast's spiritual sense, curious and observant, reached out as he entered the Dragon Slaying Stage...

"You remind me of the Great Shaman Reid, like the Demon Lord of the Devil Palace possessed by a mighty spirit," Yu Yuan mentioned discreetly.

The essence of a human's primordial spirit is, in fact, a closely guarded secret, akin to the Primal Demon of the extraterrestrial Sky Fiends, known to very few.

Yu Yuan couldn't speak openly, so he resorted to subtle hints.

"Thinking about it, if it were merely an inanimate object, unable to be revived, my possession would be akin to a Sky Fiend refining a demonform. Though the demonform is durable and suffused with Soul Power, mixed with other forces, it remains lifeless."

"However, if the heart could beat once more, if it could generate blood, if fresh blood could circulate within..."

"Then it would be alive!"

"A living creature has the potential to evolve and grow stronger, to harbor more hope! But a lifeless object will always be just that, offering no further gains to its possessor."

Taixu reclined slowly.

He even pried open his chest to expose Andre's heart, giving Yu Yuan a clear view.

"Now, I'll leave it in your hands."

Taixu, having entrusted all his remnant souls to this unique body, had complete faith in Yu Yuan.

He was aware that once this body's heart sparked back to life, there would be an eternal, mystical bond between him and Yu Yuan.

Like the Demon God Grec, who was eternally bound by the Root of the Solar Meridian, his body, resurrected by Yu Yuan, would also be forever constrained by Yu Yuan.

Yet he did not waver.

In his view, Taixu's current existence was entirely owed to Yu Yuan. He might disregard the Boulderdawn, but he would always recognize Yu Yuan...

Thus, by lying down and exposing his heart, he was, in essence, entrusting his life to Yu Yuan once again.

"I will give it my all!"

Yu Yuan declared with a grave demeanor.

Outside the meteorite.

Taishi observed the Dragon Slaying Stage, emitting a soft white glow, with a serene composure. His eyes twinkled with countless flickers of wisdom.

It seemed that every second, hundreds of ideas would emerge, each one being scrutinized for its brilliance.

He was assessing which notions had merit, which could evolve into a mature, comprehensive strategy to benefit the Boulderdawn and his followers.

Like Taixu, his confidence in Yu Yuan was unshakable.

He believed that once Yu Yuan and Taixu departed from the Dragon Slaying Stage, the heart within Taixu's new body would pulse with life.

Time flew by swiftly. After a while, Taishi offered a wry smile and remarked, "Try not to stir up trouble."

No sooner had he spoken than the meteorite trembled violently.

The Dragon Slaying Stage, where Yu Yuan had vanished, was now buried under a heap of rocks and dragged into the depths of a mysterious underground palace.

The open passageway and its stone stairs vanished in the blink of an eye.

The entire boundary of the starry sky once again settled into silence and desolation.

Only Taishi remained, sitting in solitude as if he had been there for millennia, as immovable as a boulder.

Time marched on.

Whoosh!

The Abyssal Leviathan, now in the guise of a gaunt old man, descended leisurely as though returning home.

"Is it because we used your blood?" Taishi asked, striking up a conversation as one would with an old friend.

"No," the Abyssal Leviathan replied, shaking its head and gazing curiously at the meteorite beneath it. "Taixu might have mentioned that I've passed by here many times. I've even landed thrice and lingered for a bit."

Taishi nodded with a smile. "I seem to recall him mentioning that."

"I was merely passing through," the Abyssal Leviathan clarified in response to his implied question. "It wasn't because of the blood that was separated from my body. My blood isn't my Sunsorrow; it doesn't possess enough power to detect anomalies from a distance."

"In truth, it's because Yu Yuan was here, and he happened to be not far off."

"So, our encounter beyond the stars could be considered destiny?" Taishi asked, his smile beaming.

"I'm aware of your prowess, and I also know... what you're after," the Abyssal Leviathan said, its red and white eyes betraying a hint of wariness. "Even she couldn't kill you. I can't fathom the extent of your combat strength. But why do you bear animosity towards me?"

Boom! Boom!

Centered around them, the massive meteorites floating in the starry space hurtled towards them from all directions, as if drawn by a magnet.

The smile gradually faded from Taishi's lips, his face becoming serene and composed. "Your wandering will draw the Dark Phoenix's gaze. Moreover, you were the first to learn that he has grasped the Secrets of Life and was once chosen by the Primal Blood. I fear that you'll once again catch the Dark Phoenix's eye, be captured, and inadvertently reveal his secrets."

"So, it falls to me to suppress and imprison you."

"Where do you get such confidence?" The Abyssal Leviathan was provoked by his words.
