Bloodied holes marred the neck of the Divine Bird, and it had lost its usual grace, appearing somewhat disheveled with splotches of blood marring its winged body.

Yet, the piercing chill in her eyes only served to instill deeper fear, her presence growing ever more menacing.

She had emerged victorious in her final battle with the Disaster Snake. Having severed the colossal serpent, she now allowed her Destruction Fire and the power of death to seep into its body.

The arrival of Zhong Chichen, gathering the remnants of the Disaster Snake's limbs, had naturally incited her wrath.

The 'it' the rainbow-hued dragon spoke of was, of course, the young beast. Chen Qinghuang was aware of the deep connection between the Nagas and the youngling, so the presence of Zhong Chichen and Loong Jie was undoubtedly with the young beast's silent consent, perhaps even at its behest.
