C1702 The Evil God in the Abyss

"My name is Awkwafina, and I must correct your assertions," said the elder of the Shadow Clan, standing amidst a dark and dreary domain. Her hair hung wildly as she revealed her true form, her gaze icy as it fixed upon Yu Yuan.

"Filthy? You dare claim I was defiled by the Origin Realm God? Ha, you truly know nothing of the Abyss!"

Her smile was unsettling, sending chills down one's spine.

Beside her, Jessica from the Silver Scale Clan furrowed her brow, seemingly trying to halt her reckless speech.

"I have nothing to fear. Now that the Origin Realm God has been forced by Beilstein to retreat to the Abyss, I no longer concern myself with his retribution. After all, my true allegiance is not to him, but to the Evil God of the Abyss."

The reverence on her face deepened as she mentioned the Evil God, and her eyes seemed to clear.

"The Abyss, and other Evil Gods?" Yu Yuan was taken aback.

"Kid, you're clueless! Our Shadow Clan has always been an anomaly in this world. Before me, Awkwafina, not a single Tenth Level Bloodline warrior had emerged!"

"Do you know why? Because our bloodline laws were flawed from the start!"

"We were meant for the Abyss!"

Awkwafina, the Shadow Clan matriarch, divulged a staggering secret just as Yu Yuan was preparing to unleash the Sky Opening Array to obliterate the shadows.

This revelation left Yu Yuan so astounded that he hesitated to draw his sword.

"We belong to the Abyss?!" Yu Yuan exclaimed in shock.

"To put it precisely, the Shadow Law within our bloodline originates from the Abyss. It's possible that the Titans and spinosauruses, during their explorations of the Abyss, hunted and captured the essence of shadow from the Evil Gods, bringing it back to our world, which we of the Shadow Clan came to comprehend."

"Or perhaps, in some bygone, unknown era, the mysteries of shadow were sent here."

"I was introduced to the Shadow Evil God by the Origin Realm God. Within the Origin Realm he crafted, I encountered the Shadow Evil God. In the Abyss World, the Shadow Evil God I serve is a supreme entity, equal in stature to the Origin Realm God."

"The Shadow Evil God disclosed the secrets of the Shadow Law to me through the Origin Realm, enabling me to finally break free from the constraints of my bloodline."

"Therefore, my ascension to the Tenth Level has nothing to do with the Origin Realm God. He is certainly not my master."

Awkwafina spoke with a chilling detachment.

"You accuse me of descending into the Abyss, of being corrupted by it, but that's far from accurate. My encounter with the Abyss was merely a homecoming. The shadow bloodline coursing through my veins, our Shadow Clan's secret bloodline techniques, they all originate from the Abyss. Our master resides there as well!"

Her face was etched with fanaticism, her words devoid of any reverence for the Origin Realm God, tinged instead with a touch of discontent.

It turned out she was guided by a Shadow Evil God, an entity of the Abyss equal in stature to the Origin Realm God, who had communicated with her through the Origin Realm to aid in the advancement of her bloodline.

Given this, her devotion to the Shadow Evil God seemed entirely reasonable.

And so...

Yu Yuan, taken aback, instinctively turned his gaze to Jessica, a fellow Tenth Level bloodline warrior who had previously remained unseen.

"I am not like her!"

Jessica's expression was icy as she effortlessly produced a silver mask, concealing her entire face except for her piercing eyes. "I am the creation of my ancestors," she declared.

Her attention shifted to the Abyss Goanna.

The massive creature's body strained against the fissures in space, threatening to burst forth, only to be suddenly enveloped in a prismatic light, preventing its true release.

A colossal Golden Dragon emerged, its presence akin to a gilded rampart, its scales arresting the blood in one's veins.

It was none other than Loong Jie!

To intercept the Abyss Goanna, not only had the Space-time Dragon been deployed, but Loong Jie from the Dark Domain had also made his presence known.

"The Dark Domain? Ha!"

Awkwafina's laughter rang out once more, her unkempt appearance exuding an eerie aura, as though she harbored an abundance of secrets she was itching to divulge.

Yu Yuan listened intently, his eagerness to engage in battle waning. He was keen to pry deeper into the Abyss's mysteries through Awkwafina.

"Shadows, darkness, chaos, and distortion..."

Awkwafina whispered to herself.

"Be silent!"

Jessica from the Silver Scale Clan bellowed.

"Your ancestor is preoccupied with those dragons, lacking the power to constrain me."

Awkwafina of the Shadow Clan continued to emit her ghastly chuckles, a sound so grating it was profoundly unsettling.

"Darkness?"

A flicker of trepidation crossed Yu Yuan's face, an unexpected fear taking root within him.

Could it be that even the Law of Darkness, which Master Tan Xiaotian had come to understand, originated from the Abyss in its earliest days?

When the Titan Spinosaurus wreaked havoc in the Abyss World, it vanquished numerous beings akin to Shadow Evil Gods and Origin Realm Gods. It assimilated the Abyss laws they had mastered, infusing them into the heart of the colossal beast.

Could it be that its presence and demise led to the proliferation of these forces in our world?

"The strength and loyalty of his followers would far surpass those of the vast Devil Palace. In the Abyss, there are at least three Dark Evil Gods who would be his staunch lieutenants."

"Unlike here, the Abyss does not shun outsiders. They welcome all who share their lineage and origins."

"If the Origin Realm God weren't so self-interested, reluctant to see the dark races of the Abyss flourish, he would only need to reveal the truth to Tan Xiaotian. Given Tan Xiaotian's nature, he wouldn't require the Origin Realm God's imprisonment; he might proactively seek out the Abyss to consolidate his base of power."

Yu Yuan was utterly astounded. He had never imagined that Awkwafina, once she embraced her true self, would lift the shroud of mystery surrounding the creatures of the Abyss due to his provocation.

It turned out that the Abyss was not exclusionary.

As it happened, all Tan Xiaotian needed to do was to mingle with the dark races and enter the Abyss, and he would instantly become an Evil God of the Abyss.

Tan Xiaotian would gain even greater power and amass a following of loyal subordinates and formidable allies. The allure was incredibly strong!

"Had the Great Demon God Beilstein not intervened, he might have succeeded in engulfing the Heaven Opening Flare Star and the Chaos Abyss, along with the Gray Domain, the vast expanse, and the dozen or so Domain Boundaries. His form within the Abyss would have been invincible!"

"In such a state, he could have coerced all the Evil Gods of the Abyss to acknowledge him as their leader."

"Had he truly succeeded, he would have become the Beilstein of the Abyss, commanding the unwavering loyalty of all Evil Gods. At that moment, if he were to open the Abyss Gate, he might well have had the power to conquer this world."

"Regrettably, his efforts fell short, and Beilstein thwarted his grand scheme."

Victory and defeat were determined in the blink of an eye. Once the Great Demon God Beilstein made his entrance, the envisioned outcome by the Origin Realm God was irrevocably altered.
