C1723 He Suppressed the Thunder God

Above the moon.

"Han?"

Zhang Guanyu of Ruby Hand, along with cultivators from Ethereal Void, Winter's Bite, and Abyssal Dawn, turned their attention sharply to Han Miaoyuan.

Seated upon the cold moon in the extraterrestrial realm, he issued commands to the various sects. Lin Daoke was sent to Ionodios, and the Unbound cultivators from Sword Sect and Ethereal Void were tasked with capturing Duan Yisheng and Zhongli Dapan. At this moment, Han Miaoyuan was furiously stamping his foot.

Beneath Han Miaoyuan, the ground fractured into a web of fissures, his complexion turning a steely blue.

In the crowd, Yuan Lianyao and Zhou Cangmin from Ruby Hand stood side by side. Since her cultivation hadn't reached the Unbound state, she was unaware of the unfolding events.

She only noticed that the cultivators from Ethereal Void, Winter's Bite, and Cloudwater Sect were casting odd glances her way.

"This shouldn't be happening. It shouldn't be this overpowering."

Zhou Cangmin, clad in white, shook his head and whispered, struggling to come to terms with the chaos erupting in the Everlands.

"What's going on?" Yuan Lianyao whispered back.

"Yu Yuan has made a sudden appearance in the Everlands and used the Dragon Slaying Stage to kill many Thunder Sect cultivators," Zhou Cangmin declared.

"Isn't Wei Zhuo around?"

As Yuan Lianyao's face drained of color, she still remembered to ask, thinking that the recently notorious leader of Thunder Sect had been reassigned by Han Miaoyuan to the extraterrestrial realm to assist Sword Sect in their capture mission.

The newly risen supreme lightning cultivator had been the talk of the town, his ferocity commanding respect and fear.

Amidst her shock, Yuan Lianyao couldn't help but worry for Yu Yuan, concerned about what might happen if Wei Zhuo were to find out and rush back from the extraterrestrial realm. How would Yu Yuan fare then?

"Wei Zhuo is actually at Thunder Sect!" Zhou Cangmin's pupils sparked with excitement.

"What?"

Yuan Lianyao gasped, her delicate fingers trembling, at a loss for words.

"He's being restrained by the Dragon Slaying Stage. It looks like he can't break free from it, posing no real threat to Yu Yuan." Zhou Cangmin couldn't help but glance towards Han Miaoyuan as he spoke.

At this moment, a vast River of Swords, visible even to the extraterrestrial powers, was surging towards Ebon Star.

Sword Sect, Ebon Star, and Sunlit Order were all situated on the Euwrea Continent, within close proximity to each other!

"Mr. Han!"

Qin Luo, radiant as a flame crystal, soared out of the sun and traversed millions of feet across the sky. Transforming into a blazing meteor, he made his way toward the Everlands.

Qin Luo took the lead!

Han Miaoyuan brought his hands together, clutching a Divine Level spell between his palms. With a grave look on his face, he commanded, "Activate the spell!"

Strands of dark yellow light enveloped his form, linking him to the Banner of Duality he had left in the Everlands, establishing a stable coordinate and direction.

Whoosh!

In the blink of an eye, Han Miaoyuan vanished from the moon.

...

At Ebon Star.

Han Miaoyuan, gripping the Banner of Duality, materialized abruptly beside Cao Jiaze. The grand and majestic palaces, upon his return, seemed to be drenched in a resplendent divine glow.

"Sect Master!"

"Old Sect Master!"

Lin Yue, Guang Hong, and Ren Yun, Unbound Realm cultivators gathered around Cao Jiaze, burst into exclamations upon witnessing his timely return from the extraterrestrial.

"Ze, you operate the rune circle; I will channel the spiritual energy!"

Han Miaoyuan instructed, then, in front of the sect's younger members, he brandished the Banner of Duality.

The spiritual energy throughout the Everlands began to flow with the movement of the Banner of Duality. Han Miaoyuan disrupted the natural distribution of the world's divine force, redirecting it to serve Ebon Star exclusively.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Nine colossal palaces, like nine gaping whales, in an instant, drained all the divine force within a thirty-thousand-mile radius.

Boom!

The palaces emitted beams of spiritual energy, swiftly refining it midair, like a colossal umbrella unfurled by the gods, sheltering the entire Ebon Star beneath.

A torrent of boundless spiritual energy roared in from thirty thousand miles away, a seemingly inexhaustible river of life force.

A full quarter of Euwrea's spiritual energy was commandeered by those nine palaces.

Many cultivators and lower-tiered Fellbeasts suddenly found that no matter how forcefully they breathed or how much they concentrated the spiritual energy in their elixir fields, they couldn't capture a single trace of spiritual energy from the air.

It was as if the spiritual energy around them had been siphoned off, leaving none behind.

"What's going on?"

Elders in deep meditation and young cultivators attuning to spells emerged in a flurry, loudly questioning each other, desperate for answers.

"The Sect Master of Ebon Star is casting a spell!"

"Exactly! Only he possesses such might!"

Amid the astonished cries, some spotted the broad and dazzling River of Swords in the sky.

"What is that?"

"Ah! A river made from countless sword lights? Only the Sword Sect could conjure such a fearsome River of Swords! But why is it heading towards Han Miaoyuan's Ebon Star?"

"Have the Sword Sect and Ebon Star become enemies?"

"Silence! Someone at Thunder Sect has tampered with the Sword Cave, creating a River of Swords aimed at Ebon Star!" an informed individual scolded.

"The Thunder Sect?"

Confused cultivators took to the skies of Euwrea in various ways—some by wielding their artifacts, others by employing their spiritual treasures—to investigate the Thunder Sect.

"What happened to Thunder Sect?"

"Where are its mountain peaks and those towering palaces?"

Those who had been monitoring Thunder Sect were shocked to find that it had vanished without a trace, despite recently ascending to the status of an upper sect on Euwrea, succeeding the Sunlit Order.

In place of Thunder Sect's domain was a massive, shimmering white stone platform that continued to undulate.

With each rise and fall, the land that once housed Thunder Sect shook violently and sank a bit more.

It was as though something was being relentlessly compressed, struggling in vain to heave off the gleaming white stone platform, only to be crushed down by an even greater force.

Atop the expansive, gleaming stone, a figure stood tall, brandishing a sword and laughing heartily.

His sword tip was aimed directly at Ebon Star!

"Han, you scoundrel!"

The man cackled wildly, his voice brimming with arrogance, as if Han Miaoyuan was beneath his notice. "I merely allowed you time to return from the extraterrestrial realms to face this River of Swords! Brother Cao, since you've only recently ascended to the Unbound Stage, I'll extend you the courtesy of not making this too difficult for you."

From afar, Cao Jiaze of Ebon Star watched the River of Swords advancing slowly, its pace deliberately reduced. With a bitter smile, he bowed with a fist in palm and responded, "Your consideration is acknowledged."

"Dragon Slaying Stage!"

"Yu Yuan! That's Yu Yuan of Boulderdawn!"

Panic-stricken shouts echoed from every corner of Euwrea, from the Sunlit Order, the seven lower sects, to the most obscure third-rate sects.

"Heh!"

Yu Yuan gazed down at the Dragon Slaying Stage beneath him. His eyes cut through the luminescent material and its glow to the deep crater below, where a relentless stream of lightning energy surged from the ferocious Thunder Pool, infusing Wei Zhuo's colossal Divine Visage with power.

Within Wei Zhuo's Divine Transcendence, veins pulsed like primordial thunder dragons, bones shimmered like divine crystals tempered by lightning, and his blood coursed with electric vitality. The divine might he radiated seemed the bane of all spectral fiends.

The towering figure of Wei Zhuo, positioned within the Thunder Pool, swung his arms—each a nest of myriad lightning serpents—as he furiously hammered the Dragon Slaying Stage.

Beneath the pearlescent surface of the stage, divine chains of cosmic order unfurled like blossoming flowers.

The weight of the Heavenly Dao, combined with the internal forces of the Dragon Slaying Stage, harnessed cosmic energy from the Ashlands to suppress Wei Zhuo's onslaught.

Each time Wei Zhuo struck, the Dragon Slaying Stage would momentarily rise, only to plummet back down with a force capable of crushing entire worlds.

Boom!

With every compression by the Dragon Slaying Stage, Wei Zhuo was driven deep underground, and the Thunder Pool erupted with a myriad of lightning flashes.

Since its return from the Ashlands, the Dragon Slaying Stage, having been reforged in that desolate realm, now possessed a mystical potency many times greater than when it housed the remains of the three Dragon Gods, surpassing even the might from its first era in his possession.

By utilizing the Dragon Slaying Stage alone, he managed to overpower Wei Zhuo, sealing the fate of the Thunder Sect.

The Sword Cave, however, presented an unexpected delight with its thousands of Spirit Swords and Divine Swords resonating in recognition.

Upon drawing the sword, he sensed the elation of every Spirit Sword and Divine Sword within the Sword Cave at the return of the Titanblade.

It was then that he understood something crucial.

The Spirit Swords and Divine Swords of the Sword Sect held a deeper recognition for Nie Qingtian, naturally feeling an affinity for the sword spirit of the Titanblade.

This was a result of the differing personalities between Lin Daoke and Nie Qingtian.

For Lin Daoke, his swordsmanship was paramount. Devoted to his craft, he showed little concern for the sect's disciples, the Sword Sect itself, or worldly matters.

Over the years, it was Nie Qingtian who tirelessly battled on behalf of the Sword Sect, standing up for its honor.

When cultivators from the Sword Sect perished in extraterrestrial battles, Grand Sword Immortals among them, it was Nie Qingtian who sought vengeance and respectfully laid their remains to rest. He gathered their Divine Swords and sword spells, ensuring they were either promptly returned to the Everlands' Sword Sect or placed in the Glimmerdrift Nebula's River of Swords, to be sent back together later.

His actions ensured that the once-glorious swordsmanship mantras would not vanish with their creators' deaths.

Though the masters of the Spirit Swords and Divine Swords in the Sword Cave had passed, their swords and the essence of their swordsmanship lived on through Nie Qingtian.

Lin Daoke, however, was indifferent to these matters.

Consequently, the sword spirits and Divine Swords within the Sword Cave were more inclined to align with the sword spirit of the Titanblade.

When the sword spirit called, they answered en masse, each contributing their sword light to the cause.

Thus, a River of Swords, more mysterious and mighty than the one in the Glimmerdrift Nebula, was forged.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

From the Land of Quiescence, the Aetherius Continent, and the Sundering Isles, sword lights burst forth from numerous secluded locations, all converging towards the ever-slowing River of Swords.

Many Sword Sect cultivators gazed at their Spirit Swords and Divine Swords, acquired from the Sword Cave, with a sense of bewilderment.

Why wasn't the sword spirit responding to their commands?

Why had it not even acknowledged its master before streaking out in a blaze of sword light toward the Euwrea Continent?

Could it be that an incident had occurred within the sect's Sword Cave?

With this troubling thought, the Sword Sect cultivators dispersed throughout the Everlands sought out the nearest teleportation circle, eager to return to the Sword Sect and uncover what had transpired.
