C1791 The Call for Help from the Solar Meridian
The Supreme of Shadow's Keep.
She wielded her power to shatter the Domain Channel connecting Tyria to the Dark Star Domain, forcibly ripping open a breach.
Then, she even transported Ann Ziqing's human form here, a gesture that was undeniably humiliating.
Upon Zhong Chichen's arrival, his elongated hand, aglow with a spectrum of divine radiance, pressed against the colossal Time Gate, yet failed to seal the tear.
He watched the fissure with a grave expression, finding himself unable to discern anything within.
"It's her. She's aware of our presence in the Ashlands, and she might even have deduced our plans."
The Abyssal Leviathan, confined to the oceanic abyss of the Everlands and terror-stricken by the Dark Phoenix, wore an exceedingly unnatural look.
Loong Jie, the snow bear, and the trio of ninth-level alien beasts, along with the hastily arriving Abyssal Greater Basilisk, were all perturbed by the Dark Phoenix's presence.
With the departure of the Demon God Bertain, the Dark Phoenix emerged as the most fearsome entity from the Everlands.
She relished the hunt for cosmic giant beasts and harbored an intense loathing for the Nagas, placing the Abyssal Greater Basilisk, Abyssal Leviathan, Zhong Chichen, and Loong Jie under immense strain.
Strands of iridescent light wove into an intricate Translocation Circle around the breach, yet it remained obstinately open. A look of concern etched on Zhong Chichen's face, he declared, "I must destroy this Time Gate. Otherwise, I fear she might find her way to the Ashlands."
The Abyssal Leviathan's face turned ashen.
The Lizard inhaled deeply, positioning himself before the gaping rift, and intoned, "There's no need for your spatial talents; I shall handle the blockage."
His hand plunged into the tear wrought by the Dark Phoenix, and in a moment, countless streams of sediment, entwined with his bloodline rules, solidified the tear and the entire archway.
In an instant, the vast seven-colored arch, crafted by Zhong Chichen, was engulfed by the might of the Abyssal Greater Basilisk.
"She aims to cross from the Dark Star Domain, but she must first overcome my bloodline seal. Yet, it will be challenging for us to peer through the Time Gate to observe the conflict from now on." The Lizard appeared unfazed by the Supreme of Shadow's Keep. "She is undoubtedly powerful, but should she venture into the Ashlands alone, I am not convinced she would emerge victorious."
Observing Zhong Chichen and Loong Jie, who was nearing the completion of his Ultimate Golden Body, as well as Yu Yuan and Zhong Chichen, the Lizard bellowed, "Forget the Ashlands; even in the Dark Star Region, our united strength would suffice to deal a heavy blow to the Dark Phoenix or force her into flight."
"She has yet to refine the Solar Meridian or conquer the Primal Blood Continent. She's not unbeatable."
It was the Abyssal Greater Basilisk rallying the troops.
Ji Ningshuang, wielding the Stardust Blade, sat serenely before the sealed archway, her voice steady and unruffled as she spoke, "I share that belief." Among those present, she was the epitome of composure.
Yu Yuan, having listened to their exchange and watched the Abyssal Greater Basilisk seal the arch, had since crouched beside Ann Ziqing, gently supporting her neck with his hand.
His first priority was to assess the situation and rouse Ann Ziqing from her persistent unconscious state.
Whoosh!
Visible strands of vital energy were channeled into Ann Ziqing's body, coursing through her limbs and core.
As the life-giving vital energy infused with mysterious forces entered Ann Ziqing's personal realm of vitality, the world, once devoid of the amethyst Blood Pool, began to show signs of life once more.
Ann Ziqing, still in a faint, appeared to be immersed in a warm spring, her brows quivering delicately.
The lash marks on her body, the puncture wounds from claws on her arms and abdomen, all began to mend before the watchful eyes of those gathered.
Her left hand's little and index fingers, previously reduced to bare bone, now slowly began to regenerate flesh as the crimson energy converged.
The Duskjaw, Stormwraith, and Three-legged Golden Crow watched Ann Ziqing's body undergo its wondrous transformation, astonishment gleaming in their beastly eyes.
Suddenly, their faith in Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit surged.
"How peculiar..." murmured the Abyssal Leviathan, clearly addressing everyone, "If the Dark Phoenix has the power to send such a vessel here, it implies she herself could come. Moreover, the young Titan Spinosaurus must have been subdued by her, now docilely heeding her commands."
"She may have already detected that Yu Yuan is favored by Primal Blood and has been branded with the full Secrets of Life."
"Why didn't she just invade the Ashlands and seize Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit? Whether it's the obedient little spinosaurus or the Secrets of Life she's been studying, Yu Yuan would have been a superior choice."
"Why go out of her way to seek a distant solution?"
The Abyssal Leviathan was visibly perplexed, scratching its head in bewilderment.
"She's after more than just the complete understanding of the Secrets of Life. She aims to directly plunder and refine the Primal Blood! Her goal is to establish her own empire and domain on the Primal Blood Continent," Zhong Chichen said gravely. "She doesn't aspire to become a Titan Spinosaurus; she intends to transcend it!"
"I have this nagging feeling that if she succeeds, the Dark Star will transform into a realm revered by all creatures. And the Primal Blood Continent she claims will give rise to tenth level alien beasts."
"With the Primal Blood, she might undergo a transformation beyond the ordinary!"
This revelation left everyone speechless.
The alien beasts, constrained by their bloodline shackles, had a gleam of longing in their eyes, evidently eager for this event to unfold.
Their gazes lingered on Yu Yuan, then drifted to the frozen massive archway, as if trying to discern who could bring about a true metamorphosis for the alien beasts.
The ascension of the alien beasts to the tenth level would mark a momentous shift, shattering the existing power dynamics of this world.
"Hmm..."
Ann Ziqing suddenly stirred to consciousness. Upon opening her eyes, she was met with the sight of Yu Yuan and gasped in surprise, "Ah, you, I can't believe I'm seeing you!" She attempted to rise but was overcome by weakness.
Her body was nearly drained of blood and spiritual energy, leaving only her soul relatively intact.
"Take these pills."
Yu Yuan helped her up and passed her several vials of pills to replenish her lifeblood. After watching her take them, he inquired, "What happened on your end?"
"I..."
In a frail voice, Ann Ziqing recounted to Yu Yuan how she had followed Grec's orders and ventured to a desolate star for battle, hoping she might encounter Yu Yuan if fortune favored her.
On that desolate star, she detected spatial disturbances and was about to investigate when the immense purple Divine Throne, a symbol of the Dark Phoenix, appeared, having traveled instantaneously from another region of the Dark Star.
A bolt of purple lightning struck, splitting her real body from her Solar Spirit, and she was plunged into unending agony.
When she regained consciousness, she found herself here, with her Solar Spirit likely still within the Dark Star.
"My Solar Spirit is still here, but, but... ah!" Ann Ziqing clutched her head in agony, her hands grasping at her withered chest, depleted of too much vital energy. She screamed, "I can feel my Solar Spirit being tortured! It has become a great Demon God of the Blood Fiend with its help, and now it has no strength to retaliate."
This witch of the Colddeath, who had sworn to avenge her father and betrayed the Everlands, was the picture of despair and helplessness.
After the death of Ann Wen, her life's purpose became revenge. Driven by the Root of the Solar Meridian, she transformed her Solar Spirit into a great Demon God of the Blood Fiend.
She believed she had finally gained the power to confront the Dark Phoenix, but the outcome...
It was more than she could bear.
"Grec?" Yu Yuan turned to Zhong Chichen, the Chronowyrm, "How did Grec know about the Domain Channel you created in the Dark Star?"
"He assisted me," Zhong Chichen responded.
The little spinosaurus in the Ashlands had taken note of Grec's interest when Yu Yuan spoke of the plan, prompting Zhong Chichen to keep an eye on the Dark Star.
Thanks to Grec's assistance, a secret Domain Channel in the Dark Star was established by Zhong Chichen and the Ashlands.
"He allowed Ann Ziqing to pass through, likely based on the agreement you two had in the Ashlands. You had expressed a wish for him to bring Ann Ziqing here, and to keep the Solar Meridian from uncovering the truth, he didn't even inform her," Zhong Chichen surmised, then sighed regretfully. "Sadly, the Domain Channel that connects us has also been discovered by the Dark Phoenix."
*Crack!*
The shattered amethyst pond in Ann Ziqing's little world of vitality, which had vanished, began to reappear slowly.
"Help me."
A faint thread of thought, like the blood light within Ann Ziqing's body, coalesced into a plea.
Solar Meridian!
For years, the Root of the Solar Meridian had reigned supreme over the Primal Blood Continent, forbidding any being from touching it. Now, the tiny Blood Pool within Ann Ziqing's body sent out a desperate cry for help to Yu Yuan.
