C1796 The Solar Meridian
On the other side, the moon that alternated between illusion and reality was first tainted by dark purple demon energy. As the red moon trembled, the frenzied infusion of the Solar Meridian's vital energy caused it to solidify once more.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
From the heart of the red moon, a thick, chilling smoke billowed out, and within the cold fog, streams of crystalline ice force were swiftly refined.
Crack!
As soon as the ice force emerged in this world, it instantly formed a massive glacier beside the red moon. Then, one by one, nine more glaciers materialized.
At that very moment, deep within the Primal Blood Continent, far across the Star River, the ground shook with violent tremors.
It was as if a strange creature, dormant for eons, was roused by a force capable of sustaining it, and its frozen consciousness quietly began to coalesce.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The dark red wall of this world, blood-red in hue, was saturated with the thick ice force.
In an instant, it became encased in frigid ice.
Reid, Grec, and the other formidable Sky Fiends who had traveled from distant lands watched in awe as the icy, blood-red light curtain unfolded before them.
The vast Primal Blood Continent was now shrouded in an ice energy that eluded the control of the Blood Fiend, leaving them utterly alienated and fearful.
No one, not even the High Priest, could project their dark will beyond it.
Crack! Crack!
The red world, with its barren landscapes, mountains, and rivers, all began to succumb to the frost.
The majestic palaces of the Blood Fiend instantly transformed into temples of ice crystals, and in a brief span, the entire Primal Blood Continent became a silver-clad Frozen World.
"What's going on?"
Reid, clad in a pitch-black robe, with purple devil soul fire blazing in his eye sockets, turned to Grec, who wore a wry smile, and said gravely, "The power of the Solar Meridian isn't supposed to be this formidable. Even in battle with the Dark Phoenix outside, it shouldn't have reached the Primal Blood Continent!"
Reid was visibly concerned.
According to the original plan, once the wall of the Primal Blood Continent shattered, he would lead the Star-Spawned Terrors that heeded his command to withdraw from the Dark Star using the mystique.
Regarding the Solar Meridian and the Blood Fiend tribe, he had always intended to forsake them.
The anomaly in the wall now prevented his dark will from penetrating; he could no longer see the shadows of the Ape and Green Willow.
Moreover, when a strand of his dark will neared the wall infused with extreme ice energy, it was instantly frozen and snuffed out.
This signified that he was ensnared.
"It's not our ancestor, it's not that one."
Demon God Grec trod upon the increasingly icy terrain, attempting to communicate with the Solar Meridian, only to be horrified to discover that the Solar Meridian's focus had long since shifted elsewhere.
In response to his urgent summons, the Solar Meridian remained indifferent.
"I, I'm also unclear on the reason."
He conveyed to Reid with a look of distress.
Beyond the realm.
The Untamed, now in human form, along with Green Willow, had their gaze fixed on the far end of the Star River. When they abruptly withdrew their attention, they cast it upon the nearby Primal Blood Continent.
In an instant, the vibrant Primal Blood Continent transformed into a massive ice sphere, sealed by the ice force.
The Ape scratched his head and danced about, torn between excitement and fear. "It, it has been roused! Green Willow, you know so little. It represents another marvel of the Primal Blood Continent. For millennia, it has been in a perpetual state of self-imposed freeze."
"It has scarcely ever awakened, nor has anyone been able to rouse it."
"Yet, as long as it remains in its frozen state, not even the mighty Demon God Bertain or the devil soul can cross it."
"Somehow, someone in the Dark Star has managed to draw its attention, breaking its eternal freeze and rousing it from a slumber of countless years!"
The Untamed cried out.
"Primal Blood?"
Green Willow expressed a newfound reverence.
"No, not Primal Blood. Primal Blood occasionally awakens, always seeking a fated individual, eager to cherish those special living creatures. This entity is different; throughout millions of years, it has favored no one. It seems there is nothing that can win its affection or earn its profound love."
"I have a feeling that such a character has just emerged."
The Ape was incredibly excited.
"Such extreme cold, eternally frozen... could it be..." Green Willow mused, her eyes brightening as she gasped, "Could it be Lin Zhuyun, specifically brought here by the Dark Phoenix?"
"Her? Hahaha! Does she even measure up?" The Ape burst into laughter.
"Who might that be?" Green Willow inquired with curiosity.
"I see them! One, another, twelve in total! Glaciers, towering glaciers, thousands of meters high, encircling the red moon! Hmm!"
"The Stardust Blade! It's Ji Ningshuang!"
"This young woman hasn't even set foot in the Dark Star Region, yet just the ice magic she has grasped has stirred the extreme cold to life! My heavens, she truly is the darling of the gods, the most fortunate soul favored by the heavens!"
The Untamed's raucous shouts drew the attention of the Moonfang Tiger and Yu Zhu.
Boom!
The frigid glaciers within the Embers Sea began to burst and crumble, one after another. Lin Zhuyun's figure, cool and detached, was suddenly drenched in blood.
She stared at the glaciers in horror, as if she could clearly see the myriad transformations of ice magic within them.
Merely by observing, her eyes began to silently fissure, in sync with the glaciers beneath her feet and the "Embers Sea" she had been refining.
Crack!
Like the shell of an egg breaking apart, the "Embers Sea" she had meticulously refined also shattered into fragments.
The profound meanings of ice, etched into her bloodline and Solar Spirit, were being thrashed by a supreme being from the Ultimate Other Shore in ways she couldn't comprehend.
"Is it really... for no reason at all? Has jealousy between women blinded you and warped your mind?"
The supreme Dark Phoenix, seated upon her purple Divine Throne, could see the piercing beams of ice light refracting from the glaciers, thousands of meters tall, annihilating the Embers Sea and the glacier upon which Lin Zhuyun stood.
"Stand back."
With a gesture, she grasped the fragmented Embers Sea and Lin Zhuyun, whom she had taken a liking to, enveloping them in her infinite demon energy.
With a flick of her wrist, Lin Zhuyun and the Embers Sea reappeared in a different Star River.
In that moment, she sensed the disturbances on the Primal Blood Continent and the watchful eyes of the Untamed, Green Willow, and the other Dark Deities.
She paid no attention to them, her gaze fixed on the towering icebergs. Within them, she could barely make out a wraith-like figure that seemed to be the very essence of ice magic.
She scoffed, "Just because that girl is Yu Yuan's fiancée? Your ice magic, upon entering the Dark Star, chose neither to confront me nor to rescue the Solar Spirit, but instead sought to eliminate her?"
The Dark Phoenix found the situation absurdly amusing.
Ji Ningshuang's ice magic, having inexplicably grown stronger in the Dark Star, was now reinforced with dense ice energy, transforming into towering icebergs.
Yet, she had immediately used these icebergs to launch an attack on Lin Zhuyun.
It was utterly irrational and devoid of logic that she would switch her target to a mere Unbound cultivator, simply because she was a romantic rival.
"It's none of your business."
Ji Ningshuang's voice, cold and unyielding, echoed from the icebergs.
"I'm beginning to appreciate you."
The Dark Phoenix chuckled, though it was unclear whether it was genuine admiration or sarcasm.
"And him? He should be desperately fighting, right? It must be him?"
With a soft cry, the Dark Phoenix's purple wings, broader than the Divine Throne itself, beat once more.
Boom! Crack! Crack!
The ice magic inscribed within the icebergs was crushed by the demon energy in her Celestial Plume, and the landscapes Ji Ningshuang had crafted with her ice energy crumbled.
"I am here."
From the depths of the fracturing red moon, a majestic red figure emerged, as if carrying the bloodline mysteries of all living creatures.
The red crystals on the moon's edge transformed into pure vital energy, merging into his body.
"Just a moment."
The red figure, standing on a luminous white inkstone, appeared for an instant on the moon before vanishing in the blink of an eye.
Puff!
The wall of the Primal Blood Continent was pierced by a streak of white lightning.
The red figure, along with the inkstone beneath his feet, appeared for a mere second before vanishing from Reid and the Great Demon God Grec's sight.
"Yu Yuan!"
Reid exclaimed sharply.
The Great Demon God Grec was about to call out when his expression and gaze suddenly froze.
An alien power had breached his bloodline's origin, infiltrating the Bloody River created by his ancestor, and was now siphoning the vast vital energy of the Creator.
Just like him, all members of the Blood Fiend tribe were struck with a stunned expression.
This included Ann Ziqing from another world.
"An unexpected surprise."
Yu Yuan, in his real body within the Ashlands, experienced the actions of the Solar Spirit. He endured an intense chill that temporarily sealed the spiritual wisdom and consciousness of the Root of the Solar Meridian.
His Solar Spirit plunged into the Bloody River, where the profound meanings of the bloodline transformed into crystalline meridians within his body.
In the universe, it was the purest and most powerful vital energy that could propel the advancement of his Solar Spirit.
In other words, if his Solar Spirit couldn't consume the Bloody River, it would fail to break its constraints and elevate him to new heights, forever unable to ascend to divinity.
The icy depths of the Primal Blood utilized its unique method to freeze the remnant soul consciousness of the Solar Meridian.
The time required was short, yet it seemed sufficient.
Submerged in the Bloody River, the Solar Spirit, ravenous, refined the seemingly infinite vital energy, undergoing round after round of metamorphosis.
