C1799 The Feather Break!

Boom!

The Dark Phoenix's massive wings unfurled within the sphere of sword light, stretching out languidly.

Billions of streams of blood light and violet-gold lightning seemed poised to rupture the cosmos itself, continuously shattering the immense orb woven from sword light.

Puff! Puff! Puff! Crack! Crack! Crack!

The sounds of the sword light bursting and red crystals shattering echoed through the secluded Star River, drawing the gaze of all the mightiest beings in the Dark Star.

To the Beast Kings at the zenith of the ninth level, and the Dark Deities watching, it appeared as if a spectacular fireworks display was unfolding at the far end of the starry expanse.

"Yu Yuan!"

"Titanblade!"

Yu Zhu, dispatched by the Lunar Meridian to aid the Dark Phoenix in battle, alternated her gaze between the Primal Blood Continent close at hand and the distant battlefield.

A look of concern crept into her expression, and she grew increasingly restless.

"Girl."

The Ape arrived with a wide grin, settling beside her. He gestured toward the towering purple palace and the phoenix silhouette larger than the Primal Blood Continent itself, and declared, "Your role in this fight is to simply observe from the sidelines."

Yu Zhu, with her dark, gaunt, and unattractive human visage, wore a robe smeared with blood, leaning against an iron-gray rock. She furrowed her brow and asked, "Lord Untamed, do you intend to block my path?"

"You might see it that way," the Ape replied nonchalantly. "Your involvement would be futile. In fact, I fear you might just make things worse. Besides..."

The Ape scrutinized Yu Zhu's face and her slender frame, feeling an odd sense of familiarity.

Few had ever beheld the true form of the exalted Dark Phoenix, particularly its earliest incarnation. The Ape struggled to recall any who were still alive from that time.

It had been so long that even the Ape had nearly forgotten what the Dark Phoenix looked like when it first assumed a human guise.

But having spent recent times in the Dark Star Region alongside Yu Zhu, witnessing her transformation into her human form, with its dark, lean appearance and decidedly plain features, he slowly remembered.

The Dark Phoenix, in its initial transformation into a human, had not bothered with refinement, bearing a striking resemblance to the Yu Zhu before him.

She was tall and slender, with dark skin and an unattractive face—a spitting image of Yu Zhu standing before him. Initially, the Dark Phoenix was indifferent to her looks, but after her transformation into human form, she faced ridicule from the Dragon Gods of the Nagas and peak beings from extraterrestrial races for her appearance.

Over time, she changed into her current self, and those who had mocked her—the Dragon Gods and the peak beings of the Otherkin—were nearly all eradicated by her hand.

"Strange," the Ape muttered unclearly, shaking his head. He addressed Yu Zhu, "I'm doing this for your own good. Regardless of what you think, if you try to join the battle, I will intervene to stop you."

At his words, Yu Zhu instantly became compliant. She was acutely aware that, aside from the Dark Phoenix, the Ape was the most formidable among the alien beasts converging on the Dark Star. She stood no chance against him, and with the Ape's stance clear, her best course of action was to continue observing.

With a whoosh, the supreme Dark Phoenix once again spread her wings. The figure atop the Divine Throne rose with a renewed sense of pride. "Your power is still insufficient; you can't penetrate my violet gold Celestial Plume. The bloodline rules of the five Dragon Gods eluded me in the past because I failed to acquire the dragon corpse."

"You've seen it yourself—the thirty-six ancient totem poles of the evilkind, with several dragon bloodlines missing."

"That changed when I seized her from Taishi."

She gestured towards the horizon. A menacing violet gold dragon whelp, winding like a mountain range, let out a thunderous roar in response to her call.

"I captured her, and within her heart, I discovered novel bloodline chains—those of the Old Titan Spinosaurus. Though she was not yet mature, and her bloodline chains had not undergone their ultimate transformation, the imprints they contained sparked great insight within me."

"With that, I unraveled some of the sophisticated bloodline rules that the Dragon Gods had mastered."

Clang! Clang! Her massive violet-gold wings clashed, emitting the sound of metal on metal, and sparks scattered in every direction.

It seemed to serve as a reminder to Yu Yuan that she was capable of manifesting the Ultimate Golden Body, channeling the ultimate arcane secrets of the golden dragon through her wings, all thanks to the little spinosaurus hatched by Taishi.

Yu Yuan's expression grew stern as he gasped for breath. He had anticipated that the supreme Dark Phoenix of the Everlands would be a formidable adversary, and he had mentally braced himself for a battle fraught with peril. Yet, he realized he had still underestimated the Dark Phoenix's combat prowess.

The Heaven-Opening Sword Array was the most powerful strike he could conceive. With the vital energy from the Solar Spirit infused into it, the sword he wielded was no less potent than the one he had used in the past. With that sword, he had once pulverized the soul of the Origin Deity deep within the Ashlands.

He had also used that sword, with the aid of the Spirit Swords and Immortal Swords from the Sword Sect, to shatter the Nine Palaces Array of the Ebon Star Sect, leaving all the mighty warriors of the Everlands in awe. Yet, the very same Heaven-Opening Sword Array, when unleashed upon the Dark Phoenix, was thwarted by her violet-gold Celestial Plumes. And this was merely one of the Dark Phoenix's avatars!

"Nie Qingtian, and even the Grand Sword Immortals of the Sword Sect, pale in comparison to... that one. Perhaps, you should consider wielding the Divine Artifact he once held," the Dark Phoenix suggested, her intriguing gaze settling on the Dragon Slaying Stage at his feet, her lips curling into a knowing smile. "If there's anyone in human history who truly deserves to be hailed as the foremost, it is undoubtedly him."

Yu Yuan felt a subtle jolt in his spirit. The Dragon Slaying Stage, his former self, Taiyin, the God-King! It was unexpected that the Dark Phoenix, renowned throughout the Everlands and the extraterrestrial Star River, held his previous incarnation in such high regard, even suggesting that he engage in combat using the Dragon Slaying Stage.

"I've forgotten many things and many people, but him... he remains vivid in my memory. Often, I sense that he's still alive, ever-present beside me. It's just that he harbors hatred and resentment towards me, so he constantly evades me, refusing to meet," the Dark Phoenix expressed, her voice and demeanor imbued with a mix of wistfulness and indignation.

The Dark Phoenix appeared lost in ancient memories, her voice fading to a whisper. After a moment of silence, she seemed to recall something and burst out furiously, "He even had the audacity to call me ugly, accusing me of vainly imitating beauty! It's one thing for others to say it, but for him to do so was unbearable!"

Boom!

It was as if the heavens themselves had given way. Her raging demon energy tore through the vast expanse of the starry sky, causing the lifeless stars to burst into oblivion amidst the tumultuous violet waves.

The dense web of space rifts could not bear the immense pressure of her demon energy and split open.

Her uncontainable demon energy had no choice but to escape through these fissures into the desolate void, ensuring the fragile existence of this realm.

When the Dark Phoenix raged, the Star River ceased to be!

The stars housing the Domain Channel teetered on the brink of destruction under the onslaught of the dragon's breath.

Far away in the Ashlands, a little spinosaurus sensed the violent tremors of the Time Gate. Fearing a severed connection with the Dark Star Region, it reached out to offer its aid.

Thus, amidst the Star River, now riddled with intricate space rifts, only this single star remained intact.

Beyond it, there were no more stars, no little worlds, no colossal meteorites—just the remnants of a once vibrant cosmos.

Many extraterrestrial warriors who had taken refuge deep within the caverns of the stars, having evaded both the beastly slaughter and the archdemon's gaze, met their end in the wake of the Dark Phoenix's wrath.

Her explosive anger unleashed a wave of demon energy that obliterated the stars, claiming the lives of tens of thousands of survivors.

Yu Yuan, visibly shaken, responded as she had hoped, wielding the Divine Weapon from his past life. Harnessing the power and rules of the Dragon Slaying Stage, he launched yet another assault on her.

Swoosh! Sizzle!

The elongated Dragon Slaying Stage, taking the place of the Titanblade, slashed through the air, leaving trails of blinding golden light.

Each streak of golden light was imbued with the indomitable essence of the golden dragon. The metal magic, capable of piercing through all barriers and breaking every rule that bound the world, transformed into a resplendent blood light that merged into the heart of each golden beam.

At that moment, he gained a newfound insight into the golden dragon's bloodline chain, thanks to the Solar Meridian! His body, submerged within the Solar Meridian and as red as a crystal, drew upon the overwhelming vital energy while simultaneously absorbing the arcane bloodline secrets of the golden dragon, Golden Shura, Silverscale Tribe, and all related clans. As his Solar Spirit grasped the radiant knowledge, his physical form shared in the experience.

With the Dragon Slaying Stage in his grasp, he could still summon the thick vital energy from the Primal Blood Continent, flawlessly manifesting the Sunsilver rule that had once pierced through the golden dragon god of the tenth level. Clang! Clang! Clang! Golden radiance burst forth above the Dark Phoenix's outspread violet-gold Celestial Plumes.

The violet-gold Celestial Plumes, which had thwarted the Heaven-Opening Sword Array, showed dense cracks under the edge of the Dragon Slaying Stage, like an eggshell under assault. "Hmm?" Yu Yuan, glimpsing a ray of hope, gripped the elongated Dragon Slaying Stage, and with a thought, unleashed a ripple of rainbow hues.

He deftly sidestepped through the void, evading the Dark Phoenix's other wingbeat. Each torn space rift became his sanctuary, a springboard for his next onslaught. He darted through various dimensions, emerging from the fissures to wield the Dragon Slaying Stage as a Divine Weapon, repeatedly thrusting with the piercing might of metal magic.

Boom! A swath of the Dark Phoenix's violet-gold feathers burst from their Sunsilver state into a shower of blood. "Success!" Yu Yuan's spirits soared. The Ultimate Golden Body, derived from the golden dragon god, utilized the same bloodline rules, channeling golden divine light to penetrate its target, effectively turning the tables.

The transformation of the violet-gold Celestial Plume into a blood rain signified that the bloodline mysteries acquired by the Dark Phoenix from the little spinosaurus had not yet reached their zenith. The little spinosaurus had not reached full maturity, its most developed form yet to be displayed, preventing the ultimate aspect of metal magic from emerging.

The Dark Phoenix was not without flaws!
