C1811 Teaching Each Other

No one could have imagined that after Yu Yuan's Yang God form absorbed the source of the Yang Meridian, he would be capable of striking the Demon Phoenix with his blade at such close range. Where the blade met the spear shaft, a dazzling point of light, no larger than a grain of rice, seemed to transform into a treasury of lifeblood for all beings.

Every being, save for the Devaputras like Reid and Mitts who were inherently incorporeal, including members of the Blood Devil Clan, the Hao Yu Demon King, the Demon God, and the alien beasts from the Outer Star River, found their hearts eerily ceasing to beat at the mere sight of that minuscule point of light. Jee Ningshuang, the Desolate God, and the Sky Tiger were no exceptions. The enigmatic force emanating from that tiny speck seemed to have the power to influence the flow of lifeblood in all creatures!

Whoosh!

Another figure emerged from the fissure, his handsome face awash with astonishment as he softly exclaimed, "To think it has come to this..." His gaze locked onto Yu Yuan and the Supreme Demon Phoenix, hardly believing that Yu Yuan could now withstand a confrontation with the Demon Phoenix.

This was none other than the Divine King Taishi, who had hastened from the Hao Yu through the "door" opened by Zhong Chichen. Witnessing the clash between Yu Yuan and the Demon Phoenix, Taishi stood momentarily transfixed by the Dragon Slash Platform, a symbol of the Divine Soul Sect's prestige, and the Demon Phoenix wielding her purple-golden spear. After a pause, he whispered to himself, "Such a familiar tableau."

How many times had these two engaged in similar battles in the past? The capricious Demon Phoenix, known for overturning tables in a fit of rage during council meetings, would not tolerate anyone she disfavored. Back then, Han Miaoyuan lacked the influence he has today, relegated to standing on the sidelines without a seat at the table. The only one who could challenge her and compel her to maintain her composure was the original Dragon Slayer.

Their method was straightforward.

The pair would instantly soar to the Outer Star River, and after a fierce skirmish, it was often the Demon Phoenix who would sulk back to the Demon Palace, while the Lunar Divine King would return to the council as if nothing had transpired, urging everyone to proceed with the discussions and disregard the stances of the Demon Phoenix and the Demon Palace. Occasionally, even though the Lunar Divine King returned, the previously agreed-upon strategies would have shifted.

The proposal came from the Demon Phoenix.

Yet, after every heated debate between the two, it was always the Lunar Divine King who returned. The Supreme Demon Phoenix would either remain within the Phoenix Shrine or retreat to the Demon Palace in silence.

This pattern persisted through the era of toppling the Naga's dominion and even as Hao Xing advanced into the Outer Star River after the Nagas' downfall.

The council sessions were repeatedly suspended due to the Demon Phoenix's sudden frenzy and the Lunar Divine King's forceful intervention. Time and again, everyone was left to await the outcome of their confrontations, with no end in sight.

"I really miss those days when everyone was full of vigor, united by a common dream. Despite the disagreements, we always managed to resolve them amicably. It's just a shame... the good times didn't last," Taishi reflected with a sigh.

Upon setting foot on the Origin Blood Continent and laying eyes on Yu Yuan, Taishi instantly recognized him as the architect of the Vast Expanse's New Origin, the very same Yu Yuan from beyond the realm barrier.

"Surprising, isn't it? I was taken aback as well," Zhong Chichen, who was also privy to Yu Yuan's true identity, remarked as he stowed away the Time Book. He tucked his hands into the wide, colorful sleeves and added, "It all happened so fast, beyond my expectations. The residual power of the Yang Meridian has become the blood soul of the Demon Blade, signifying the complete downfall of the Yang Meridian."

"That doesn't surprise me in the least."

As the two companions from the Vast Expanse caught sight of Yu Yuan's true form and Jee Ningshuang, they had already crossed beyond the realm barrier.

Taishi, who hadn't had the chance to exchange words with Yu Yuan's true form, cast a glance at the still frosty earth beneath him and mused, "A mere blood-red river within the heart of the Origin Blood Continent is hardly a place for the Yang Meridian to thrive, especially not on someone else's turf."

"After all, it wouldn't have remained fruitless for thousands of years otherwise."

The secrets that Yu Yuan had unraveled were things Taishi had deduced long ago. He was well aware that the supposed source of the Yang Meridian in the Dim Starfield was nothing but a ruse.

The true power lay with the slumbering Origin Blood, and the Yang Meridian... was nothing more than a puppet.

From the moment the Origin Blood endowed Yu Yuan with a complete life sequence, it signified that upon awakening, the Origin Blood had resolved to appoint Yu Yuan as its representative. One entity was merely a puppet, while the other was a spokesperson invested with great expectations. Surely, the Yang Meridian could not usurp the role of the master.

There was, of course, a method to handle the indulged Origin Blood. It all hinged on whether there was a desire and a necessity to do so. The blood-red river, a transformation of the Yang Meridian, cascaded onto the frigid depths below. This innate coldness, in alliance with the Origin Blood, served as the ace up the sleeve for dealing with the Yang Meridian.

Taishi observed the still frosty earth and realized what had transpired, confirming that his speculation was on point. "Excellent, this is very good." He gradually eased his concern and affectionately clapped Zhong Chichen on the shoulder, prompting the seven-colored dragon to swiftly sidestep with a look of disdain. "Credit where credit is due!"

Taishi's smile was carefree as he brushed off Zhong Chichen's strong reaction. "Nagas, just avoid the chaos of old times, and a place for you will assuredly be secured in the future."

"You're acting as if he's already won," Zhong Chichen retorted with a cold laugh.

"He won't lose. Not only because he is who he is, but also because of her. When these two engage in battle, absent of external interference, he seldom loses," Taishi remarked with a profound undertone.

Yet, Yu Yuan, the one Taishi had such high hopes for, was wielding sabers in both hands when suddenly, his meridians, fine as crimson lightning, burst apart.

Whoosh! The Dragon Slash Platform retreated in a blink, and in a fleeting moment, the severed meridians in Yang God Yu's arms reconnected, and he delivered another saber strike. Amidst the massive purple clouds, the Demon Phoenix appeared to effortlessly parry with its spear.

A new, minuscule light emerged. Within the grain-sized glow, countless creatures from this world took on Yu Yuan's visage and form, along with the distinctive bloodline traits and mysteries, evolving their own blood laws. Asuras, Dark Elfkind, Winged Race, Bright Clan, Demon Phoenix, Silver Scale Clan, Mondnacht Clan, Rock Clan.

The refined essence of the bloodlines from the alien warriors active within the Eon Realm had been extracted by Yu Yuan and propelled into the world within the light dot. Arrayed before them were numerous ancient demons, alien beasts, and a scattering of Starry Behemoths.

The bloodline techniques Yu Yuan had learned from the Demon Phoenix, along with the core profundities of the giant beasts, became tangible through her infusion of demonic energy. The point of contact between blade and spear marked a tiny world where Yu Yuan's bloodline laws clashed in a frenzied collision of their vast knowledge and blood.

The powers of the alien beasts' and giant beasts' bloodlines could be layered upon one another. The tempest was laced with razor-sharp ice light and mysterious thunder, accompanied by a life matrix that amplified blood energy.

With the activation of the Golden Rock Beast's bloodline, massive boulders weighing thousands of tons plummeted from the sky, each suddenly subjected to a gravity field a thousand times stronger. The boulders' descent, now a hundredfold more powerful, crushed the warriors of the Winged Race and the Silver Scale Clan into a spray of blood.

Behind the innumerable demons, alien beasts, and Starry Behemoths, a vague phoenix shadow hovered. From within that tiny speck of light, she observed the myriad intelligent beings that had emerged from Yu Yuan's vast blood energy. She saw a multitude of unique Bloodline Secret Techniques and novel life laws combine to create astonishing combat styles.

In this alternative miniature world, a sea of red and a sea of deep purple each dominated half of the void. Within these seas, solidified bloodline chains and the Crimson Prisma that Yu Yuan had mastered collided, fracturing and dissolving into showers of light and sparkling fragments.

Yet, these moments were fleeting. The Crimson Prisma, though wondrous, were not yet mastered by Yu Yuan. The connections between the Prisma were insufficient, leading them to be the first to succumb in battle.

Yu Yuan had not fully grasped how to seamlessly integrate the blood techniques with the mysteries of life. When on the brink of defeat, the first sign would be the rupturing tendons in the Yang God's arm. He would use the Dragon Slash Platform to momentarily escape, regroup, and then return to the fray with his blade ready to strike once more.

As she swung her blade, new prismas would emerge, and with them, more powerful warriors from the Asura, Dark Elfkind, and Mondnacht Clan.

The Supreme Demon Phoenix was the most formidable adversary, a master of both the Blood Arts and the secrets of life. This being, who had ascended to the Great Dao by sealing the blood of the vast ocean, had unique insights into the ancient demons of the vastness, the Nagas, and the myriad bloodline abilities of alien beasts.

With ease, she could weave her blood into increasingly intricate blood techniques, crafting bodies of myriad beasts.

In each clash of blades with Yu Yuan, a myriad of laws and life arcana collided, revealing to him new and enlightening combinations of divine powers.

Gradually, Yu Yuan began to understand something.

The Demon Phoenix, too, was quietly absorbing the life mysteries he had gleaned from the source blood.

With this realization,

Whoosh!

He withdrew his blade and, through his soul, communicated with the Dragon Slash Platform, only to discover that the massive purple glow had ceased to emerge from the twin seas of purple demonic energy.

The Demon Phoenix, gripping her spear, was the picture of serenity, her demonic eyes brimming with anticipation.

She eagerly awaited his relentless onslaught of slashes.

"Have you only just figured it out?"

The Supreme Demon Phoenix scoffed, stretching languidly before Yu Yuan, unabashedly displaying her stunning curves.

It seemed the constant defense had left her feeling somewhat awkward and uncomfortable. "If it won't favor me, won't bestow upon me the complete life sequence, then I shall take it myself."

"To be frank, I've already gleaned a portion from that ancient Spinosaurus. From the flesh and blood of the vast ocean's Demonic Beasts and ancient demons, I've extracted some."

"The Blood God Cult and Ann Wen, corresponding to the Yang meridians, also possess fragments of its scattered life wonders."

"And there's the Chaos Roc, long sealed by me in the Ember Waters, from which I occasionally draw blood, harboring a piece of its life essence."

"I've even claimed her."

The Demon Phoenix brandished her spear. "This young Spinosaurus also harbors a segment of the old one's Bloodline Secret Technique. Having wandered the Outer Star River for years, I've amassed additional pieces. All these fragments, when combined..."

"Truthfully, I don't need much more."

"And you've just revealed a bit more to me. I'm not sure if it's complete, but I'm feeling increasingly confident. If I were to go over, I sense that my odds of victory are quite good."

Whoosh!

The two halves of purple Demon Energy, cleaved by the Demon Blade, converged like closing feathers and enveloped Yu Yuan once again.

"I was wondering who could battle with me to this extent, who could earn its favor and even make it forsake me."

The Supreme Demon Phoenix, reclining with its long spear resting across its legs, leaned back with nonchalance. Pressed against the purple divine throne, it spoke in a relaxed tone, "Turns out, it's you."
