C1840 The Solar Spirit Descended
In the Darkpinion Astral Domain, a grayish-yellow Dead Star, having merged with the Phoenix Ashes, became the foundation for the newly sprouted Uxthar Tree. The Uxthar Tree's branches, now reaching out, pierced the cold, dark expanse of the starry sky above. These branches, like straight Divine Swords, radiated a verdant divine light.
The once barren star now boasted a dense forest teeming with a variety of vibrant flora, bringing life to its surface. Atop the tree's trunk, amidst the extraterrestrial Star River, a Divine Bird had built its nest, where a luminous silhouette shimmered within.
Around the massive Uxthar Tree, the Origin Gate creaked, and the Wraithbanner fluttered in the gusting wind. The Demon Lord Tan Xiaotian, clad in black and strikingly handsome, hovered before the Origin Gate, his dark eyes fixed on the fringe of the Darkpinion. He had already witnessed the emergence of the Phoenix Shrine.
At this moment, his dark soul, once used to probe the Origin Realm, had integrated with his physical form. The Ebon Meditation Mat beneath him expanded, transforming into an expansive sea of darkness that continued to spread swiftly.
With a whoosh, Jihui's phantom returned through the now-open Origin Gate. Casting a distant glance at the nest atop the Uxthar Tree, he communicated telepathically, "Yu Yuan, the Abyssal Greater Basilisk, the Abyssal Leviathan, and the young Titan Spinosaurus have been spotted near the Abyssal Gate." Jihui relayed the situation.
"There's Yu Yuan for you, always present," the Demon Lord chuckled, pondering his next move. "No matter, those creatures are likely eager to witness the Dark Phoenix's downfall. As for the Secular Bird Queen... we might as well leave her be."
Jihui nodded, continuing the soulful exchange, "Just remember, you and I can approach the Abyssal Gate without issue, but let's avoid contact. The Abyssal Gate only seeks vital energy. It has no need for the soul or spiritual energy."
"And what if you were to fall into the Abyssal Gate?" he inquired. "Once your vital energy is depleted, you would be free from its grasp."
Tan Xiaotian burst into laughter, "Got it. My demon form is strong too. I'll do everything I can to avoid sinking. Since you lack a corporeal body, it'll be up to me to entice the Dark Phoenix when necessary."
"I've awaited this moment for tens of thousands of years," Jihui responded.
*Crack!*
Starting from the Origin Gate, a multitude of fine space rifts burst forth. Brilliant streams of spatial light poured in from the chaotic void that Jihui had ventured into.
All were converted into his power.
The Wraithbanner, flickering moments before, suddenly expanded a hundredfold, transforming into a vast face composed of millions of spirits, grinning malevolently at the Phoenix Shrine materializing in the Darkpinion.
"Spread, boundless darkness, and engulf the Darkpinion!"
At Tan Xiaotian's command, an infinite darkness spread thousands of miles in a breath, threatening to transform the vast Darkpinion into a secret realm akin to the Dark Realm and the Abyss.
Whoosh!
Atop the newly born Uxthar Tree, the Azure Divine Bird, bathed in a celestial glow, suddenly shone brightly.
...
"What do we do now?"
The Abyssal Leviathan, in a state of agitation, flew to the front of the Dragon Slaying Stage after the Origin Gate vanished, blocking the little spinosaurus's view of Yu Yuan.
"That Jihui, the God-King, can recreate the Origin Gate anytime, appearing and disappearing at will!"
"From what he's said, he might bring the Dark Phoenix with him on his next visit!"
"And perhaps even the Secular Bird Queen!"
The Abyssal Leviathan was in turmoil, desiring the Dark Phoenix's demise yet simultaneously dreading her arrival. "How secure is this Abyssal Gate, really?"
The little spinosaurus, trapped and immobile, glared resentfully, wondering why it wasn't considered secure.
"Yu Yuan, is the seal that holds this little spinosaurus truly effective against the Dark Phoenix? Your Solar Spirit acquired a complete life sequence, didn't it? Maybe... you should come over and inspect it with your Solar Spirit?"
The Abyssal Leviathan was deeply uneasy. He longed for the Dark Phoenix's end but was also intimidated by her potential arrival.
"If the rumors about Jihui are all true, then the last contingency he prepared for himself should indeed bring great calamity upon the Dark Phoenix," the Lizard remarked.
"He's been in the Abyss for tens of thousands of years. How could he possibly know the current strength of the Dark Phoenix? You don't seriously believe that just because Tan Xiaotian and he teamed up to destroy the Shadow's Keep in the Everlands, it means anything, do you?" The Abyssal Leviathan scoffed disdainfully, "The Shadow's Keep was nothing more than a facade."
"If he truly had the power, he'd join forces with Tan Xiaotian and lay waste to the Phoenix Shrine!"
The Abyssal Leviathan was skeptical about Tan Xiaotian and Jihui's collaboration.
"Father, please save me!"
As time went on, the little spinosaurus, pressed against the Abyssal Gate, grew increasingly weaker. Unable to see Yu Yuan, it had no choice but to cry out for help.
The Abyssal Greater Basilisk remained silent, merely gazing at the colorful sea and the emerging form of the Evil God.
Whoosh!
The Dragon Slaying Stage beneath Yu Yuan's feet began to undulate with multicolored ripples.
Space magic gently enshrouded the Dragon Slaying Stage.
The spirit of the Abyssal Leviathan was invigorated as it silently stepped back, waiting with patience.
Upon seeing the radiant space light on the Dragon Slaying Stage, both the Lizard and the young Titan Spinosaurus anticipated what was to come, watching intently with bated breath.
Having left the Ashlands and assimilated the Bloody River, Yu Yuan had achieved a new level of advancement, yet they had not yet witnessed this Solar Spirit.
Rumor had it that this Solar Spirit possessed the might to contend with the Dark Phoenix in the Dark Star Region!
Any being capable of challenging the Dark Phoenix would command the Lizard's respect.
And what of Yu Yuan, favored by Primal Blood and granted a complete life sequence? Surely, he was a Solar Spirit to be reckoned with.
Whoosh!
Layer upon layer of luminescent barriers formed and shattered, cycling repeatedly.
Yu Yuan, originally from the Primal Blood Continent, shattered barrier after barrier across the Astral Domains, breaking free from his constraints, and after a long journey, he finally settled upon the Dragon Slaying Stage.
Ji Ningshuang was unable to accompany Yu Yuan to the Dragon Slaying Stage due to the absence of a bloodline or soul connection between them.
Clad in a dark red robe, with his neck, cheeks, and arms shimmering like red divine crystals, Yu Yuan paused momentarily upon the Dragon Slaying Stage...
The little spinosaurus, which had eagerly awaited his arrival, slowly let its head droop in disappointment.
The fiery luster in its dragon eyes had dimmed, betraying a dawning realization of a harsh truth.
It feared that escaping Yu Yuan's constraints was unlikely. To access the mysteries of life's power, it would have to humbly seek Yu Yuan's favor.
The prospect of wresting life power from Yu Yuan seemed nearly impossible for the creature.
This held true even if it reached full maturity.
"The scent of the Old Titan Spinosaurus."
Bitterness filled the gaze of the Abyssal Greater Basilisk as it sighed, "When the old Spinosaurus first ventured from the Dark Star, seeking kin to battle across the heavens, it was much like you are now. The slender bloodline chains within you will one day thicken and brim with strength."
"I take Zhong Chichen at his word," declared the Abyssal Leviathan.
Yu Yuan, the Solar Spirit from the Primal Blood Continent, was now unable to rejoin his original form. To the little spinosaurus and the cosmic giant beasts observing him, he stood out starkly, as vivid as blood itself.
An intangible pressure emanated from him, forcing the little spinosaurus back into a posture of submission, its spirit crushed.
The Abyssal Greater Basilisk and the Abyssal Leviathan, harboring their own defiant thoughts and wicked intentions, found these notions evaporating almost instantly upon witnessing his Solar Spirit.
With a thunderous crash, Yu Yuan's uniquely enigmatic Solar Spirit, after gracing the Dragon Slaying Stage for mere seconds, descended towards the kaleidoscopic sea below.
"Ah!"
The little spinosaurus and the Abyssal Leviathan cried out involuntarily.
The old lizard's brow furrowed in concern.
But their cries of alarm and astonishment ceased abruptly.
For as Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit touched down, the Abyssal Gate's voracious consumption of the little spinosaurus' vital energy ceased without warning.
Still unable to break free and being pulled inexorably, the little spinosaurus found its vital energy no longer draining away.
Yu Yuan, standing upon the vibrant sea, let a curious smile play across his lips. After a brief moment of perception, he remarked, "It appears that to your forebear, only those favored by Primal Blood, like himself, are deemed worthy companions."
Whoosh!
Strands of violet-gold vital energy converged from various points across the vibrant sea, coalescing beneath Yu Yuan's feet.
"You are being drained by the vital energy. I, on the other hand, can directly claim it for myself."
