C1850 The Sky Opened a Crack!
The Chronowyrm, a creature both timid and cunning, was indeed a blight during the ancient reign of the Nagas. Yet, he had indeed fallen by his own hand. His dragon remains, once severed and strewn across the Dragon Slaying Stage, slowly became a source of strength, aiding him in his conquests across the extraterrestrial Star River.
When the Origin Deity first breached this world, a direct assault left him grievously wounded. It was the Chronowyrm's existence that played a role in his own salvation. As Han Miaoyuan and the Dark Phoenix conspired against him, it was the presence of his Dragon Soul that enabled him to preserve his soul mark, granting him the opportunity for rebirth.
Reincarnated, he became his own senior brother and provided protection for much of his life. In this lifetime, the Chronowyrm had committed no unforgivable sins. Yet, witnessing him impaled by branches, his vibrant scales dimming as his vital energy was drained, Yu Yuan found the sight unbearable.
With a gentle nod, Yu Yuan set out to find a way to rescue his senior brother, Zhong Chichen. He attempted to channel the power of the distant Solar Spirit from the Abyssal Gate into the Dragon Slaying Stage, hoping to use the profound secrets of Primal Blood to shatter the Dark Phoenix's formidable Blood Rune.
He was convinced this would be effective. However, when he began the process, he discovered that the vital energy and bloodline mysteries of the Solar Spirit could not be transmitted through space to the Dragon Slaying Stage. The Everlands appeared to be under a blood seal!
What was achievable in the Annihilation Nebula could not be duplicated in the Everlands. Moreover, his Solar Spirit was unable to infuse disciples of the Colddeath Cult, such as Xueyin and Lin Yue, with its dense vital energy, preventing the use of cult members to facilitate the transfer of blood.
This was the work of the Dark Phoenix. Her demonic shadow loomed over the Everlands once more, seemingly employing arcane arts to isolate the world's vital energy. Although his body and the Solar Spirit's soul could connect, the vital energy remained impassable, impervious to the influence of the Dark Phoenix's fearsome blood magic.
"I've sealed more than just the vital energy; I've also locked down the teleportation circles."
The Dark Phoenix's chilling voice echoed from its sharp branches as they pierced the Seven-Colored Dragon. The branches, having absorbed the dragon's blood, slowly transformed into crystals of dazzling hues.
Boom!
Beams of multicolored light burst forth from the Nest of Perdition, seemingly blending into the Everlands' Void Rules.
At that moment, every teleportation circle in the Everlands, including the passage from Moonfall Sanctuary to the Hellmouth, appeared to be shackled by the Dark Phoenix.
All teleportation circles capable of spatial travel ceased to function.
This meant that even if beings like Taishi, Lin Daoke, and Han Miaoyuan became aware of the turmoil within the Everlands, they could not rely on the Domain Channel of Moonfall Sanctuary to swiftly return.
The failure of the teleportation circles prevented the mighty from the other two continents from arriving immediately.
"Chronowyrm, the mysteries within your bloodline are indeed profound. Only you and Jihui have the deepest grasp of the Everlands' Void Rules, which greatly aids me," the Dark Phoenix sneered, continuing to siphon the wonders of Zhong Chichen's bloodline.
"Yu Yuan..."
Zu Ann approached the Dragon Slaying Stage with hesitation. He gazed at the agonized Seven-Colored Dragon and then at Loong Jie hovering above, saying, "The demise of two Dragon Gods won't undermine the Everlands' foundation. Yet, the frenzied Dark Phoenix has the power to obliterate the Everlands' inhabitants, potentially erasing eons of splendid civilization."
"Now that the Origin Deity poses no threat, and you've forced Jihui to remove the Origin Gate from the Everlands, Zhong Chichen's existence loses its significance," murmured Qin Luo from the Ruby Hand.
He watched as Zhou Cangmin was drained of his flesh by the Dark Phoenix, yet he dared not act recklessly, nor confront the Dark Phoenix in its current state.
Even Zhou Cangmin, with a calm demeanor, addressed Yu Yuan, "The survival of the Everlands surely outweighs the fate of two Dragon Gods. You must know which is more critical, don't you?"
They were all actually urging Yu Yuan to abandon the two Dragon Gods!
In the midst of his agonized howls, Zhong Chichen's eyes, shimmering like jewels of seven colors, betrayed a poignant blend of despair and resignation. It was as if he knew that no matter how fiercely he and Loong Jie fought, they could not alter the Nagas' grim destiny.
Roar!
Loong Jie bellowed in fury. His resplendent, serpentine dragon form cut through the sky above the marsh like a broad streak of golden light, cleaving the void in two.
Sizzle sizzle sizzle!
Amidst the thick, dark purple miasma, a figure of human grace fluttered massive purple wings. The Dark Phoenix, with her grand wingspan, unleashed a maelstrom of lightning and radiant blades, leaving Loong Jie, now in the form of the golden dragon god, at a distinct disadvantage.
As the Dark Phoenix mounted her fierce assault, she appeared to be siphoning power continuously from the Nest of Perdition.
Part of this power stemmed from her true form's infusion from the Darkpinion.
The rest was the vital energy she had siphoned from Zhong Chichen, the Seven-Colored Dragon, which she had swiftly refined and channeled into her avatar.
The barrage of lightning and spatial blades raining down upon the marsh clashed against Loong Jie's gleaming scales, sending sparks scattering in all directions.
The lands surrounding the Godsblight Marsh suffered immediate repercussions.
Many towns, home to the weaker evilkind and humans, were obliterated in an instant, leaving no survivors. Even the unyielding rocky terrain shattered under the undulations of Loong Jie's golden dragon's breath.
"If this were years ago, facing a golden dragon with the Ultimate Golden Body would surely give me a headache," the Dark Phoenix mused.
"But now, even if your golden dragon ancestor were to rise from the dead, I possess the power to obliterate him!"
The Dark Phoenix, now far more formidable than in days past, underwent a transformation within the dense, dark purple cloud. Her body seemed to morph into violet gold divine iron.
Her wings followed suit.
The violet-golden wings, with feathers sharp as blades of light, radiated a lethal edge that was hardly less formidable than Loong Jie's own.
The Dark Phoenix, in her human guise, suddenly unfurled her violet-gold wings, slashing at Loong Jie with the ferocity of a serrated longsword. Impressively, she left stark marks upon the dragon scales of Loong Jie!
Even with the "Ultimate Golden Body" at full mastery, Loong Jie's body, impervious to blade and bane, seemed not so invincible after all.
The Dark Phoenix was wielding the core lineage of the Old Titan Spinosaurus!
Puchi!
A violet-gold spear burst forth from the fountain of colorful dragon blood, piercing through the heart of Zhong Chichen's lair. His cries of anguish were now feeble and breathless.
The Dark Phoenix, wielding her wings like razor-sharp blades, relentlessly struck at Loong Jie's form, clutching the violet-gold spear with a firm grip. The scorn in her eyes deepened as she declared, "A juvenile Titan Spinosaurus, with its bloodline mysteries yet to be fully unveiled, still reveals its ultimate truths to me through deduction."
"This is bad!"
Yu Yuan's face turned pale upon recognizing the violet-gold spear, crafted from another young spinosaurus. By harnessing the bloodline mysteries of the little spinosaurus, transforming its flesh into a Divine Weapon, he feared it might grievously wound or even slay Loong Jie!
"I've played my part in the rise of these two Dragon Gods. And with the Origin Gate, your vexing puzzle, now solved, there's no longer a need for these Dragon Gods to exist," the Dark Phoenix proclaimed, her eyes naked with greed and longing. "I will claim everything—the bloodline of the golden dragon, the spatial and temporal secrets of the Chronowyrm, all of it."
Her violet-gold spear transformed into a blinding Divine Thunder, thrusting towards Loong Jie's throat.
Clang!
The spear struck the pure gold of the Dragon Slaying Stage, sending golden sparks scattering.
"Do you insist on meddling?!" she raged.
Swoosh!
Yu Yuan's true form alighted upon the immense brow of the Seven-Colored Dragon, a frigid, keen branch in hand, as he gazed into the void.
Slash!
A brilliant flash of sword light cleaved a slender fissure through the vital energy-infused barrier erected by the Dark Phoenix.
Lin Daoke stood, sword in hand, amidst the Star River.
Yu Yuan's grip on the tree branch turned a scorching scarlet, as if his hand had become a red-hot iron. Delicate strands of arc light, akin to lightning, coursed through the branch and in an instant, the entire Nest of Perdition was awash with their glow.
A crack had opened in the heavens, allowing the power of the Solar Spirit to flow through seamlessly.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
The Nest of Perdition, now ablaze with a crimson hue, pulsed with the bloodline rules of the Solar Spirit within every segment of the branches. This infusion of power brought Zhong Chichen, who had been in excruciating pain, back from the brink of death.
…

By the fifth day of the New Year, they should be ready to release two more chapters. They ask for your understanding and wish everyone a prosperous New Year, haha~
