C1875 The Respect of the Abyss

The Sea of Hearts, ethereal as a dream, surged from the distance, clearly on the verge of merging with the Origin Realm.

Yu Yuan struggled to perceive the souls and specters within the Sea of Hearts, and he was equally in the dark about Youyu's actions.

Yet, he was certain that Youyu had utilized an Origin Realm Gate within the Demon Realm to establish a connection between the Sea of Hearts and the Origin Realm.

This Origin Realm Gate, a relic of the Origin Realm God, was likely beyond destruction unless Youyu had managed it before his incursion into the Demon Realm.

"If you can't control the Origin Realm, we will all depart."

The Devourer's massive Soul Shadow, sensing the nearing Sea of Hearts, declared, "Without security for our souls, the Origin Realm loses its purpose."

"And there's more..."

The Devourer let out a sly chuckle, "The Abyss Gate is on the brink of shattering. If our true forms can traverse that world, we'll no longer need the Origin Realm."

The Origin Realm served merely as a conduit, a nexus for the Abyss Tribe and the souls of another world. Once the Abyss Gate crumbled, the Origin Realm's significance would wane.

They would be able to journey there themselves and engage directly with the other world's mightiest beings.

"Lord Youyu, did you also extend an invitation to Yu Yuan from the Gray Domain to engage with the Abyss?"

Awkwafina of the Shadow Clan, seemingly with the tacit consent and provocation of the Shadow Evil God, blurted out her question during a moment of silence.

"The Gray Domain?"

"The realm under the Spinosaurus's sway?"

"What's his connection to that savage dragon?"

The recently pacified Evil Gods erupted anew at the mention of the Spinosaurus, their rage palpable and their disdain unmistakable.

In the Abyss, the Spinosaurus was a name spoken only in whispers, a source of disgrace for the Abyss Tribe and the stuff of their nightmares.

The revelation of Yu Yuan's ties to the Gray Domain only fueled their discontent, casting aspersions on Youyu as well.

"He now reigns over the Gray Domain."

Youyu's gaze turned icy as he swept it over Awkwafina of the Shadow Clan, his warning clear.

"What do you know?"

The Shadow Evil God, previously silencing Awkwafina, now seemed eager for her to unveil the truth.

With a bowed head, Awkwafina dared not meet Youyu's gaze as she confessed, "Yu Yuan has disrupted the well-known plan of the Origin Realm God at the Heaven Opening Flare Star within the Gray Domain. But most crucially, Beilstein's appearance dealt a grievous blow to the Origin Realm God."

She disregarded the warning from Extreme Intelligence and divulged in detail all that had transpired in the Gray Domain.

Once she finished, the Evil Gods from the Abyss brimmed with hostility toward Yu Yuan.

"Hao Yu, the rising elite of the Divine Soul Sect!"

The Devourer emitted a piercing screech, transforming into a vast leaf with a deep chasm at its center, resembling a gaping maw. "Extreme Intelligence, you too were part of the Hao Yu Divine Soul Sect, even a Divine King!"

He began to cast doubt on Extreme Intelligence!

"The master of the Sea of Hearts is Youyu, who also leads the Ghost Wizard Sect. Long ago, the Ghost Wizard Sect and the Divine Soul Sect were staunch allies." Awkwafina, with the backing of a Shadow Evil God, was clearly stirring up strife.

The partially descended Evil Gods grew increasingly wary and unfriendly toward Extreme Intelligence.

"Since this youngster, Yu Yuan, has foiled our plans and indirectly inflicted severe harm upon the Origin Realm God, I believe..." The Devourer, who had taken a disliking to Yu Yuan, screeched, "Extreme Intelligence, you should erase him! Eliminate his Yin God to demonstrate your severance from the Divine Soul Sect."

"He was invited into the Origin Realm by me!" Extreme Intelligence bellowed.

"You shouldn't have invited such an individual!" retorted the Devourer.

Yu Yuan gave him a frosty glance. "Devourer, are you so eager to enter our world?"

"For many years, I have!"

"Among the Evil Gods relentlessly battering the Abyss Gate, is there one like you, Devourer?"

As Yu Yuan inquired, he suddenly turned to Awkwafina of the Shadow Clan, "It seems I erred in allowing you to leave the Gray Domain alive. No matter, you are merely a soul from the Origin Realm; you cannot reach the Abyss until the Abyss Gate shatters."

Awkwafina's spectral form quivered as she gazed upon the visage of the Shadow Evil God within the colossal prism.

She was acutely aware of Yu Yuan's dreadfulness. Whether in the Gray Domain or across other Starfield domains, Yu Yuan possessed the power to end her life.

"Don't worry, the Abyss Gate is on the verge of breaking," the Shadow Evil God said reassuringly.

"It's not for you to decide whether it breaks or not; it's up to me."

Yu Yuan, having descended as a Yin God, fearlessly faced the gathered Evil Gods and declared with pride, "Unless I permit it, you'll never cross the Abyss Gate! And..." He turned his gaze to the Devourer who had consumed the entire Deep Starfield and sought to invade further, "Perhaps it won't be long before I arrive at the Abyss in my true form to confront you, Devourer!"

He was boldly threatening the Evil Gods before him!

"Arrogant fool, what makes you think you can speak like that?"

"Arrive at the Abyss in your true form? Even Beilstein couldn't achieve that. What makes you think you can?"

"Extreme Wisdom, the young one you've brought here is truly courting death."

The Evil Gods murmured among themselves, their manifested soul shadows twisting and clawing as if they were eager to seize Yu Yuan's Yin God and devour it.

"I am Grimes, known as the Spirit Sweeper in the Abyss, one of its many Evil Gods."

Suddenly, the Evil God resembling a massive tumor drifted towards Yu Yuan's Yin God. Yu Yuan's Yin God, by comparison, was as insignificant as an ant. His eerie, soul-like form exuded a venom that seemed capable of dissolving Yu Yuan's Yin God. Yet, his tone was unexpectedly reverent.

"Grimes, is such an insignificant fellow really worth the honor of your name before you strike? He doesn't deserve your personal attention!" the Devourer taunted.

The Evil God assumed Grimes was provoked and wanted Yu Yuan to understand why he was going to die, which is why he introduced himself first.

"No!"

The grotesque Evil God, self-proclaimed as the Spirit Slayer, continued to descend. From his repulsive, sarcoma-like body, a large pale green eye emerged. He fixed this eye on Yu Yuan's Yin God and asked, "Are you the one who was seated atop the Abyss Gate?"

At his question, a hush fell over all the Evil Gods present. Even the Shadow Evil God within the great prism, with a face that had taken on a feminine form, frowned and looked towards Awkwafina.

Awkwafina shook her head, her expression one of confusion. "I've never been to the Abyss Gate. I'm not sure what you're talking about."

The most vocal and eager Devourer, who had been clamoring to escape the Abyss, fell silent.

Beneath the Abyss Gate stood Grimes, the leader. His question implied he had discovered something significant.

Yu Yuan paused, then countered with a question of his own, "Among those titans that rammed the Abyss Gate, was one of them you?"

"I am their chief."

Grimes' pale green eyes flickered with uncertainty before he admitted, "At this very moment, my true form remains beneath the gate. You, who are seated above, certainly possess the strength to break the Abyss Gate. It seems you're weighing your options and have even made attempts."

"Why have you all withdrawn?" Yu Yuan asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.

With that, Grimes became convinced that the formidable presence atop the Abyss Gate was none other than Yu Yuan, who had descended as the Yin God into the Origin Realm.

"We hold powerful beings like yourself in high regard!"

Grimes spoke with increased reverence and chastised the Devourer, "The Origin Realm God is ineffectual, so there's no one else to blame! This distinguished guest, Yu Yuan, is a true force to be reckoned with in the other world! He wasn't mistaken; as long as he remains above, the Abyss Gate cannot be destroyed."

With a whoosh, a spectral figure materialized in the Sea of Hearts before him. His face stiffened upon arrival.

"Yu Yuan, it's you!"

"Youyu!"
