C1895 They Saw Through Their Identities

Wagner was beside himself with excitement as he surveyed Yu Yuan from the mountain's peak, growing increasingly convinced with each passing moment.

"I just knew you wouldn't go down so easily!"

Under Wagner's intense gaze, the thirty-six grey whirlpools within Yu Yuan's soul consciousness, all formed by the Ghosting Arts, began to vanish one after the other.

The fragmented souls willingly merged back into the primary soul, as if repeatedly cleansed by a cool, shimmering light.

Yu Yuan's face took on a somber cast as he commanded, "Stop!"

Wagner, the Ghost God, appeared to be using some secret arts to probe for remnants of Yu Yuan's past lives within the depths of his soul, and he seemed to be glimpsing something.

With a respectful bow, Wagner apologized, "I'm sorry, I couldn't resist taking a peek."

Clad in gleaming silver armor with a body forged from Yin Sunflower Essence, he radiated an aura of savage might.

His arrival set the once-stagnant Grim River flowing naturally once more.

The laws of the Demonic Realm, thrown into disarray by Yu Yuan's cultivation, suddenly smoothed out. The Skeleton Horse he sat upon had green Soul Fire blazing in its deep eye sockets.

The Skeleton Horse's green Soul Fires glanced at Yu Yiyi, setting the Demonic Marks on her Evil Cauldron-forged armor into a frenzied spin.

Yu Yiyi, with a grave look, transmitted a warning, "Be careful."

She couldn't gauge Wagner's strength, but the flames within the Skeleton Horse's modest frame could likely incinerate a being as formidable as the Dark Demon, provided there was no special armor or body to shield it.

Even she would struggle to cleanse herself if touched by the eerie green flames from the Skeleton Horse's eyes.

"You must be mistaken," Yu Yuan said, eyeing the stranger Wagner with a cool detachment. "My name is Yu Yuan. True, I hail from the Divine Soul Sect and wield the Dragon Slash Platform, but..."

Uncertain of Wagner's background, stance, or the extent of his strength within the Demonic Realm, and whether there were any old scores to settle with the Divine Soul Sect or his former self, Yu Yuan opted for caution.

"No mistake!" Wagner said, flashing a toothy grin, cutting him off.

"Tai Yin? The original master of the Dragon Slash Platform?"

Among the gathered specters, Fernand, whose cultivation was the weakest, quivered as he voiced his skepticism: "Lord Wagner, could you be mistaken? His name is Yu Yuan. I've shared his history with you. Though he's the current master of the Dragon Slash Platform, he..."

Wagner gestured dismissively, cutting Fernand off mid-sentence, a habit he seemed to have.

His gaunt face bore a look of unwavering conviction as he slightly smiled and said, "Fernand, the Yu Yuan you're familiar with is indeed Lord Tai Yin! Trust me, there's no mistake!"

Yu Yiyi remained silent, her gaze fixed on Wagner as she pondered, could it be that the lord truly knows Wagner?

In the past, the lord had waged long battles in the Outer Star River, encountering numerous spirits and monsters. Could this individual actually be one of them?

The mightiest Evil Demons, including the black crone and the Yellow Light Demon, who had heeded Yu Yiyi's call and gathered from all directions, now watched in disbelief.

Could Yu Yuan truly be the most powerful expert from the Divine Soul Sect of millennia past?

"Sir, have you truly sealed away your former memories?"

Wagner slapped his forehead, a look of sudden enlightenment crossing his face. "That must be it! Your unparalleled Soul Arts and the essence within your core soul confirm you are indeed Tai Yin! Sir, do you require my assistance to awaken your past memories and recover all that has been buried?"

"Can you truly see that?" Yu Yuan asked, his brow furrowed.

"I achieved my breakthrough in the Demon Realm, and this is the Demon Realm. I can discern the original traces of any being that enters here!" Wagner declared confidently, "Had I not come and seen you with my own eyes, I might have thought you were merely a descendant. But having seen you, I now understand completely."

"Have you and I... met before?" Yu Yuan ventured.

"More than just met!"

Wagner nodded emphatically, his pride evident as he said, "I've been a ghost god for many, many years, and I can leave the Demon Realm. Our past encounters were more than mere meetings. If you wish, I can help you recall everything, but ultimately, the choice is yours."

"No need."

Yu Yuan shook his head.

His simple "no need" sent shockwaves through the assembled specters.

This amounted to an implicit acknowledgment of his identity as the Great Yin.

"Great Yin!"

"You're actually the Great Yin!"

Fernand, along with the spectral beings loyal to Wagner, the Ghost Kings, and the ghosts, all exclaimed in astonishment.

The Dragon Slayer, whose fame once eclipsed that of the Demon Phoenix and Lin Daoke, was far more renowned than Han Miaoyuan. His reputation was legendary among those who had a penchant for battle, particularly the Asura, who revered strength above all else.

"So, our Master is the Dragon Slayer!"

After Wagner disclosed Yu Yuan's true origins, the nine most formidable Evil Demons scattered across the mountain peak regarded him with newfound awe and reverence.

"It looks like you've got your own ideas and plans."

Wagner gestured for silence, and the clamor of the ghosts subsided. He scrutinized Yu Yuan intently and said, "I had a feeling you wouldn't die so easily. I even considered that you might be reborn, knowing you're aware of the methods."

"I just didn't expect you to return so soon, and with your combat power intact."

Wagner, upon recognizing him as the Great Yin, immediately altered his demeanor. "Master, allow me to escort you to Matina. Oh, and Andrea! Also, Youyu, who arrived from the vast expanses, is now establishing a connection with the Origin Realm through a gate in the Demon Realm."

Wagner, as a ghostly deity, was privy to far more than Fernand and Karen.

"Youyu intends to breach the Origin Realm. He's scouting it out on behalf of our Demon Realm's denizens," Wagner said with a sly grin. "The Origin Realm is teeming with powerful souls that can't inhabit physical bodies—ideal for us in the Demon Realm!"

"The Demon Realm is filled with numerous ghosts and a wealth of powerful beings. Consuming the souls of the Abyss's mighty in the Origin Realm is our ultimate aspiration!"

Wagner was visibly elated, his excitement palpable.

Yu Yuan's brow furrowed. He hadn't anticipated that upon entering the Demon Realm, Youyu would reach out to the Origin Realm and even secure Wagner and Matina's approval.

"What of Han Qi?" Yu Yuan demanded.

"Han Qi? We can discuss him on the move."

At the mention of Han Qi, Wagner's expression turned grim. He shook his head and muttered, "A contemptible fellow!"

Mounting his Skeleton Horse, he suddenly descended upon the stationary Ghost Ship, swiftly expelling all the specters aboard. He then gestured for Yu Yuan to join him.

"Fernand, you may follow," he said, "but let's leave the others behind."

This excluded Blanca, the rest of the Ghost Kings, and the deities—all of whom Wagner did not extend an invitation to.

Yu Yuan, slightly confused, said nothing and made his way back to the Ghost Ship, only to witness it rapidly shrinking due to Wagner's influence.

In no time at all, the Ghost Ship had condensed into a small, narrow craft, drastically reduced in size and now only able to accommodate a few individuals.

"The smaller it is, the faster we'll move," Wagner explained, a nostalgic glint in his eyes. "My lord, it was after you killed me that I became a creature of the Ghost Realm."

At his words, Yu Yiyi's face turned pale, and she braced herself for battle.

Yu Yuan uttered an "Oh," showing a keen interest in learning more.
