C1900 Wraithlands Fight the God of Ghosts!

This is the Wraithlands, and Han Qi is its God of Ghosts.

Even after Youyu, Wagner, and Matina had ventured into the Mindscape and the Origin Realm, Han Qi remained the sole God of Ghosts. With just a fleeting glance, he could discern the subtle shifts within Yu Yuan's soul.

Having previously interacted with Han Miaoyuan, he was aware that Yu Yuan was the reincarnated dragon slayer, but it was of little consequence to him.

The reason being, the once world-renowned dragon slayer had yet to ascend to the status of a supreme primordial spirit in this life, and his memories from the past life were securely sealed.

As the God of Ghosts of the Wraithlands, Han Qi could perceive everything that Wagner and Matina could.

What truly concerned him was Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit, which had acquired a complete life sequence and was currently not in the Wraithlands.

What did he have to fear?

*Tinkle, tinkle!*

Han Qi produced a delicate bell from within his robes, gently swaying it while whispering an incantation, "Sleep, remain in slumber. By the time you awaken, I, Han Qi, will be the only God of Ghosts left in the Wraithlands."

Billions of tiny sparks burst forth from the bell, showering the ancient tree like a celestial maiden scattering blossoms.

The loyal evil spirits dwelling within the tree's leaves and roots succumbed to a profound sleep, as if they had ingested a bewildering soul sedative, because Matina was absent.

Were Matina present beneath the ancient tree, or even within the Wraithlands, Han Qi's "Dream Curbing Melody" would lose its potency. Any stir among the ghosts would immediately alert her.

Regrettably, her spirited body had already ventured first into the Origin Gate.

"The Crucible of Evil is quite impressive, and that cauldron spirit... quite clever. I'll gladly claim it upon your demise."

Han Qi's lips curled into a subtle smile as if he had just caught sight of the Ghost Ship, stationary within the Wraithlands.

Yu Yuan glanced back to see a blood-yellow Levi River flowing in an eerie manner.

This Levi River was steadily encroaching upon its neighbors, seeking the one connected to Matina, and seizing the chance to extend Han Qi's influence into the Ghost Ship.

The native gods of the Wraithlands seem to each have a corresponding Levi River, and powerful deities like Matina appear to have even more control over these rivers. In Matina's absence, Han Qi brazenly invaded, merging his Levi River with hers. Consequently, Yu Yiyi, who should have been in Matina's domain, along with Fernand's Skeleton Horse moored on the Ghost Ship, seemed to have also heard the jingling of Han Qi's bells, quickly succumbing to a deep slumber.

"If we weren't in the Wraithlands, I would find you challenging to deal with, even if you hadn't ascended to the highest level," Han Qi mused with a hint of wistfulness. As a God of Ghosts, he could leave the Wraithlands, so he was well aware of Yu Yuan's battles with the Dark Phoenix and Lin Daoke in the extraterrestrial realms.

Yu Yuan's strength lay in the Dragon Slaying Stage, his unique Solar Spirit, and his resonance with the special energies of the world. In the Dark Star Domain and the Ashlands, Yu Yuan's true power was significantly amplified, far beyond what Han Qi could contend with. Yet here, in the Wraithlands, the domain of ghosts, it was Han Qi's territory!

"Go forth," Han Qi commanded, gesturing toward the murky, blood-yellow waters of a nearby Levi River. The river infused seven Ghost Kings with spirited bodies, instantly materializing their physical forms. With bodies to inhabit, the Ghost Kings acclimated to their flesh and bones and immediately lunged at Yu Yuan.

Behind Yu Yuan was the open Origin Gate, which, following Han Qi's arrival, began to emanate an eerie essence. No ghosts ventured further in, nor did any emerge from the Origin Gate. Yu Yuan was unaware of the Lunar Spirit's movements, but he could sense the power within the depths of the Origin Gate rapidly diminishing.

"How exquisitely sweet," Han Qi murmured, crouching to scoop up a handful of water from a spring, savoring it with gusto. "Tsk tsk," he uttered, his face alight with pleasure, as if he had longed to drink from the spring for ages.

"Matina has claimed the finest dark soil of the Wraithlands, overseeing the purest Levi River. She alone can approach the Crucible of Rebirth, she alone can alter the course of reincarnation," Han Qi reflected with a tinge of envy. "We are all Gods of Ghosts, yet she is merely a bit older. Why should she wield all the power?"

In the Wraithlands, there's a legend of a will as formidable as the Primal Soul. Yet, it seems incapable of awakening, powerless even when the Root of the Lunar Meridian attempted to flee.

"I, Han Qi, am a God of Ghosts too. Since my transformation, I've been unable to sense its presence. It's as if it has never taken notice of me, offering no guidance whatsoever."

"Only Matina possesses the ability to communicate with it. How unfair that is," Han Qi said, shaking his head in a low murmur.

He stood up, a sudden realization dawning on him as he smacked his forehead. "I nearly forgot, I hail from the Everlands, a human God of Ghosts independent from the Wraithlands. Like the Sect Master, my purpose is to elevate the will of the Everlands above the Wraithlands, to have every ghost and spirit here bow to the Everlands."

He spoke to himself, utterly dismissive of Yu Yuan, as he strode forward with a commanding air.

His gaze fell upon Wagner, Youyu, and the body of Matina, and he unconsciously licked his lips, "The Everlands should indeed bestow upon me a grand reward. Whether it's the Origin or the Divine Throne, I'm free to choose."

With a whoosh, the rich shadow energy from the Shadow Mountains, including the mountains themselves, surged toward Han Qi.

The Shadow Mountains, adrift in the void, resembled floating palaces, each positioned in a deliberate pattern, evolving into a unique "Nine Palaces Array."

"You relied on the swords from the Sword Cave to shatter my sect's formation back in the Everlands," Han Qi boasted. "But that was merely a clever ruse, a victory because Nie Qingtian had charmed numerous sword spirits."

"That proves nothing. If you truly have the skill, then break through my Spectral Labyrinth of Shadows!"

With a series of thunderous booms, nine Shadow Mountains aligned, forming intricate arrays within a larger formation, all converging on Yu Yuan.

Yu Yuan chuckled softly, his expression serene. "Han Qi, oh Han Qi, do you honestly believe that by becoming a God of Ghosts with the Lunar Spirit, you can do as you please in the Wraithlands?"

"Isn't that the case?" Han Qi retorted, levitating amidst the multitude of Shadow Mountains. He stood at the heart of the "Nine Palaces Array," his ghostly aura immense, the vast shadow energy weaving the various formations together like chains.

The skies of the Wraithlands had become Han Qi's domain, and the flowing waters of the Levi River had become his rivers.

"Extreme cold, frostbite."

The Dragon Slaying Stage that Yu Yuan gripped transformed into a razor-sharp icicle, responding to the shift in his psyche.

He slashed at the charging ghost.

Hiss, hiss!

An intense cold spread, and clusters of white flames and diminutive frost wyrms flickered within the thick cold fog.

A male Voidweaver Ghost King was the first to be penetrated by the icy chill.

His body, hastily crafted from turbid waters, was encased in the cold fog.

Then, the white flames and the silver frost wyrms, embodying the essence of ice magic, invaded his spirit. The Ghost King's soul was instantly shattered by the freeze.

The remaining six Ghost Kings, sensing danger, attempted to flee, but were swiftly overtaken by the spreading cold fog and more frost wyrms darting forth.

Soon, the Ghost Kings loyal to Han Qi were shrouded in the cold fog.

The Dragon Slaying Stage, a resting place for frost wyrms, suppressed the ghosts and alien souls, thwarting the Bloodbrawlers from summoning their mightiest.

The ice magic from the Primal Blood Continent, the pinnacle of ice magic, annihilated all alien souls upon contact.

This signified that, in addition to thunderbolts, the world's extreme cold was another bane of souls.

"Absorb!"

Yu Yuan, with one hand on the Dragon Slaying Stage, pointed to his forehead with the other.

Deep within his Mindscape, the fragmented Lunar Spirits coalesced into thirty-six spiraling vortexes of energy.

The vast shadow energy converging towards Han Qi, the lifeblood of the Spectral Labyrinth of Shadows, began to be usurped by Yu Yuan.

He was indeed capable of wresting the resources of the Wraithlands from the God of Ghosts.

"You go ahead and engage in battle; I'll keep an eye on the bodies of those three Gods of Ghosts."

Kaiya's covert whisper echoed in Yu Yuan's mind.

As he employed this arcane technique, it seemed that even Han Qi, who had ascended to the status of God of Ghosts, could no longer discern the state of his Mindscape.

Kaiya chose this moment to communicate her message.

Yu Yuan, initially hesitant, swiftly ascended the Dragon Slaying Stage and landed amidst Shadow Mountain, where he encountered Han Qi in the void. "Allow me to witness firsthand the extent of your God of Ghosts' powers in the Wraithlands."

Below, the imposing figure of Kaiya showed no signs of irregularity.

She appeared to be in a similar state to Youyu, Wagner, and Matina, seemingly separated from her soul.

Yet, she was not a God of Ghosts but a God-King of the Boulderdawn sect and the daughter of Bertain. Her devil soul was legion, and she was adept in the arcane art of soul division.
