C1915 First Dominator!

The Root of the Lunar Meridian was withering away. In the Land of Terror, perpetually shrouded in darkness, the nourishing power for ghosts and Lunar Spirits began to dissipate as beams of sunlight broke through the clouds and bathed the realm. This region was no longer a sacred sanctuary for the ghosts of the Everlands, nor a haven where their souls could find tranquility. The ghosts fled en masse.

The Mind Magic, deeply rooted here and intertwined with the Everlands' foundational structure, underwent a transformation due to the anomalies of the land. The consequences of this change, and its potential impact, remained unknown.

"Summon Han Qi," commanded Han Miaoyuan, the human leader and pillar of the Everlands, during this critical time. "Mr. Zhong, would you be so kind?"

A radiant, rainbow-hued light, like a bridge crafted by divine hands, materialized on the secluded island where Han Qi resided. Aware that this was Han Miaoyuan's doing, Han Qi promptly ascended the bridge of light.

Teleport!

Han Qi, a practitioner of Spirit Walk, stood his ground in the Land of Terror, now drenched in sunlight. His corporeal body felt no discomfort, a stark contrast to times past.

"You once ascended to become a God of Ghosts," Han Miaoyuan began. "Tell us, what will become of reincarnation if the Root of the Lunar Meridian in the Everlands ceases to exist?"

As he spoke, a chill settled over the hearts of Zu Ann and Qin Luo.

Had Han Qi truly ascended to a God of Ghosts?

They took another look at Han Qi and immediately noticed the absence of his Lunar Spirit within his Mindscape, which appeared decidedly unremarkable.

These ancient beings, who had lived for millennia, pieced together the clues from Han Qi's soul state and Han Miaoyuan's words. They realized that Han Qi, once seen in the Annihilation Nebula, likely met his end beyond their world.

Without an origin, and with the God of Ghosts perished, there was no return. Their understanding was limited.

Yet, rumors suggested that Han Qi had ventured into the Wraithlands alongside Soul-Capturing.

Was his formidable God of Ghosts slain in the Wraithlands by a Soul-Capturing force?

A sense of heaviness suddenly enveloped everyone.

"I'll take a look first."

Yet it was only Han Qi, who was in the midst of a Spirit Walk, projecting his Lunar Spirit from his corporeal body.

His Lunar Spirit, hovering in the Land of Terror, performed a magic art and invoked, "Ghost Summoning."

Numerous ghosts, once loyal to Youyu or masterless, appeared to be ensnared by unseen threads.

A multitude of ghosts were captured by Han Qi's Lunar Spirit, strung together like a skewer of candied fruit.

With the ghosts in hand, his Lunar Spirit absorbed their Soul Power as it descended into the Land of Terror.

Before long, he reached the increasingly desiccated pond and came to a standstill at its edge.

Grayish-white soul threads wafted from his Lunar Spirit, hissing as they descended into the pond like fishing lines seeking the depths.

They continued until they touched the pond's bottom.

The bottom was as polished as white jade, devoid of any Shadow Moon Essence or the funnel vortex that mimicked the Crucible of Rebirth, lacking the purifying force for the souls of the Everlands.

Han Qi, once a God of Ghosts, attempted to connect with the fading Root of the Lunar Meridian at the pond's base.

His soul wavered as if it had ascended from the Everlands, wandering in the ethereal realm beyond our world, perceiving some presence.

After a moment.

Poof!

Han Qi's Lunar Spirit dissipated like a puff of smoke, seemingly erased by a superior force from afar.

Standing in the true body within the Land of Terror, he wore a bewildered look, massaging his temples and forehead, struggling to remember.

He was piecing together the journey of his deceased Lunar Spirit's ascent.

The interconnectedness of the three souls meant that, even though his Lunar Spirit perished in the Wraithlands and transformed into a God of Ghosts, a wealth of memories converged upon his true self.

Thus, despite the death of the God of Ghosts, he retained numerous Lunar Spirit cultivation techniques and the arduous journey of his practice.

Armed with this knowledge, his Lunar Spirit could coalesce once more. As he embarked anew on the path of necromancy, he was bound to be an unstoppable force.

He had suddenly forgotten all the relevant memories. No matter how hard he tried to think, he couldn't recall them.

The loss of memory prevented him from providing Han Miaoyuan with an answer. He was unable to explain the consequences for the souls of the Everlands after the death of the Root of the Lunar Meridian.

"What have you discovered?"

Sensing trouble, Han Miaoyuan quickly descended from the heavens and inquired beside Han Qi.

Han Qi shook his head in confusion and said, "I've suddenly forgotten many things. I've lost some of my memories. It's as if... someone forcibly wiped them away."

"The last thing I remember is catching a glimpse of Yu Yuan just before my Lunar Spirit vanished."

Han Qi's face quivered slightly, as if the mere mention of Yu Yuan's name unsettled him.

"Yu Yuan!"

The name provoked an uncontrollable outcry among the supreme beings of the Everlands.

...

Above the Crucible of Rebirth in the Wraithlands, a peculiar body with numerous gray meridians, pulsing with pure shadow energy, slowly formed in the mist at the top of the ancient tree.

Meanwhile, the paths of the Undead stretched across the extraterrestrial sky, each aligning with the meridians of this body.

The authority of the First Undead Dominator, the Root of the Lunar Meridian, had fused with Yu Yuan's body.

His ascension to the God of Ghosts was complete.

His enigmatic body gently rose, as if surveying all the ghosts and spirits of the Wraithlands from beneath the celestial canopy.

He observed the fourteen Levi Rivers and sensed the Thornsnare, as well as the state of the souls caught within it.

He also noticed Kaiya and the Skeleton Horse interrogating Yu Yiyi, questioning the whereabouts of his real body.

Suddenly, he was struck by the illusion that he had become a deity of the Wraithlands, much like his Solar Spirit in the Ashlands and the Dark Star, seemingly above the laws of magic.

"Yu Yuan..."

Kaiya looked up, her deep eyes as if seeing him.

"The scent of the Root of the Lunar Meridian, the taste of its return."

Kaiya whispered in astonishment, keenly sensing and murmuring to herself, "There's no mistake. The Root of the Lunar Meridian that emerged from the Wraithlands has appeared once more."

"But... why do I detect Yu Yuan's scent?"

Before she left the Everlands, she had suppressed the Root of the Lunar Meridian and seized its memories and mastery of Mind Magic.

Her sensitivity to the Root of the Lunar Meridian was acute. Now, in the Wraithlands, she could feel its presence.

"The essence of my master seems to be deep within the Wraithlands' sky, yet it feels omnipresent."

Yu Yiyi's nostrils flared subtly. She was actually using her soul, and the spiritual bond she shared with Yu Yuan, to pick up on these clues. "It's so peculiar. This realm known as the Wraithlands feels oddly comforting to me."

...

The ancient tree no longer buoyed him. The two Undead Lords watched intently as Yu Yuan ascended. They hadn't communicated in quite some time.

They were uncertain how to address Yu Yuan.

Yu Yuan's Lunar Spirit, with the assistance of the second Undead Lord, had been coerced into evolving into a God of Ghosts.

Now, Yu Yuan had achieved this transformation suddenly, yet he was more than just a simple God of Ghosts.

Even Matina lacked the ability to encompass all the Paths of the Undead from the extraterrestrial realms into her dominion, transforming them into her own rules, as Yu Yuan had done.

At the very moment Yu Yuan ascended to God of Ghosts, he inexplicably merged with the First Dominator, who was mired in the Everlands and viewed by them as a defector.

Or perhaps it was more of an assimilation.

The two Undead Dominators could only watch in disbelief as this incredible event unfolded. They could sense that the remaining spiritual wisdom of the First Undead Dominator seemed to be actively accommodating Yu Yuan.

It was embracing Yu Yuan's engulfment, willingly integrating into Yu Yuan's being, relinquishing all that it governed.

It appeared that this was the only way it could break free from the Everlands.

Yu Yuan was now a God of Ghosts, but the forces and authority he wielded were evidently superior to those of any other God of Ghosts, matching even the two Undead Lords.

Perhaps even surpassing them.

What should he be called?

The Boss?
