C1919 He Retreated Unscathed
Massive wraiths rose one after another from within Yu Yuan, coalescing into divine and demonic entities that could shake the heavens themselves.
Divine and Demonic Creation!
The formidable beings of the Everlands, the extraterrestrial Demon Gods, and the tenth-level experts from various races appeared as if Yu Yuan had beckoned them from the River of Time.
These divine and demonic beings, brimming with an ancient aura and exuding a might capable of ending worlds, unleashed the magic arts and divine powers they had mastered in life.
A silver-furred giant ape bared its fangs in a menacing laugh. Its colossal arms, like pillars capable of suppressing a myriad of Star Rivers, shattered a dark golden skeleton that resembled a massive blade.
As if a Demon God with three heads and six arms, it spewed forth "Frozen Flames," "Fire Crystals," and a vile poison that could corrode the soul, piercing through the bones of three Evil Gods.
An enchantress with black hair wrapped around her waist opened her arms, releasing a soul-capturing demonic sound akin to a tsunami.
Her cascading hair transformed into bolts of soul-destroying lightning, reducing the oncoming skeletons to a shower of bone dust.
The enchantress's cry miraculously twisted Matina's distorted soul back to clarity.
The female wraith, who had ascended to a God of Ghosts in the Wraithlands after death, gazed at the enchantress conjured by Yu Yuan's Divine and Demonic Creation. After a moment of shock, she murmured, "Our Lady Guna La..."
Guna La was a renowned chieftain of the evilkind, not only adept in the many soul spells of her people but also versed in dark energy.
Witnessing the legendary figure of the evilkind, seemingly revived by Yu Yuan and fighting valiantly on his behalf, Matina realized that Guna La must have been slain by Taiyin.
Boom! Boom!
As the divine and demonic figures darted through the ethereal Skeleton Palace, even the green-black firmament, born of the primordial essence, was breached.
"Truth be told, I sensed from the moment I entered that I could confront a sky like this."
As Yu Yuan's words fell away, his Demonic Vessel morphed into the Soulforge Pool of the Moonfall Sanctuary.
The Soulforge Pool, refined by Taishi, was brimming with Spirit Magic, clearly capable of suppressing the green-black canopy of the sky. The walls of the pool bore deep sword scars, evidence of the Nine Celestial Slashes technique.
As soon as the pool materialized, Yu Yuan felt as though he had been transported back to the Moonfall Sanctuary, experiencing an illusion of reconnecting with the Soulforge Pool and the Soulforge Matrix. "Disperse!" His robust laughter echoed from within the Soulforge Pool.
The green-black sky, crafted by Jihui from his original soul, receded from the phantasmal Evil Temple, tearing the heavens further asunder.
With a whoosh, Yu Yuan, transformed into the pool, instantaneously shed the Holy Temple's binding power and emerged into the outside world. This was possible because the most crucial array within the green-black sky was the Soulforge Matrix, a formation well-understood by Jihui, who had been a master of such arrays in his time.
"One, two, seven!" Yu Yuan, now in the form of the Demonic Vessel, hovered in the midair of the Origin Realm and beheld not just one, but several Origin Gates. The Mindscape had not fully engulfed the Origin Realm.
At seven strategic points within the Origin Realm stood seven Origin Gates, each seemingly aligned with the seven strata of the Abyss, providing a conduit for the denizens of the Abyss to traverse with their souls.
Each layer of the Abyss appeared to host an Origin Gate, accessible to the mightiest creatures of the Abyss.
"Nine Celestial Slashes, Spirit Destruction, Soulsever, Starshard, Moonfall, Sun Splitting, Banish Evil, Demon Suppress, Dread Spawn, Godsbane!" The grey channels within his Demonic Vessel, corresponding to the Path of the Undead, suddenly solidified into ethereal Divine Swords, radiating a spectral white luminescence.
Yu Yuan was a master of multitasking. Nearly a hundred spectral Divine Swords, infused with the chilling essence of the Wraithlands, were endowed with an enigmatic power.
With a series of swift motions, the Divine Swords, guided by his will, flashed throughout the Origin Realm like bolts of lightning. The gleaming white sword light traced the patterns of the Nine Celestial Slashes, with particular emphasis on Spirit Destruction, Soulsever, Banish Evil, Dread Spawn, and Godsbane.
The murmuring of the Levi River, the mournful cries of the Wraithlands' ghosts, and the peculiar sounds of souls being purified all merged into the resonant hum of the swords.
Yu Yuan's elusive phantom appeared at various Origin Gates, infusing the Divine Swords with power.
Puff! Puff! Puff!
One by one, the Origin Gates were penetrated by the brilliant white sword light, exploding in this realm where only souls and consciousness could soar.
"It's a peculiar sensation," Yu Yuan remarked, a smile playing at the corner of his mouth. As he shattered each Origin Gate, he delved into the intricate Spirit Magic of the Root of the Lunar Meridian.
His understanding came with ease.
It seemed that during his first life as Taiyin, he had already engaged with Youyu and the hidden Root of the Lunar Meridian.
Wielding the meridians of his Demonic Vessel as a sword, he executed several sword spells of the Titanblade, drawing upon the marvels of the Levi River in the Wraithlands to showcase his powers in this ethereal world.
"Karma, reincarnation."
With a mere thought, he looked down at Jihui below, his eyes lighting up with intrigue.
Jihui, clutching the Wraithbanner, wore a somber expression. His brain was etched with numerous fine lines, each one a tangible representation of his life's journey.
Upon seeing these lines, Yu Yuan felt as though he could draw them out, and so he attempted to do just that.
His hand descended slowly, and a pale Soul Power gathered in his palm, swiftly forming a diminutive "Crucible of Rebirth."
As the "Crucible of Rebirth" materialized in his palm, the slender lines in Jihui's brain seemed to be pulled out, as if seized by an unseen force.
Shock finally registered on Jihui's face.
In that moment, Jihui came to the realization that his birth in the Everlands, a place where the Root of the Lunar Meridian lay concealed, had left traces of the Wraithlands deep within his soul.
Any trace, Yu Yuan could see and exploit.
Yu Yuan was undoubtedly superior to Youyu, Matina, and Wagner, the trio of God of Ghosts. He must have been empowered by the will of the Wraithlands.
"First the Primal Blood, and now... the Primal Vitality. Why?" Jihui wondered, filled with doubt.
The Primal Blood that gave rise to the Titan Spinosaurus and the Primal Vitality from the Wraithlands—couldn't one see that Yu Yuan, a human of the Everlands, was unlike the beings of their world?
Yet, why did the two most enigmatic entities of that world favor Yu Yuan following the Primal Soul?
Did they harbor no concerns that once Yu Yuan took command of the Abyss and ascended as its Supreme, he would completely conquer their world?
Whoosh!
The final Origin Gate lingered just behind Jihui, faithfully trailing him.
He moved cautiously, as if in fear of attracting Yu Yuan's attention and being annihilated by the gleaming white Divine Swords.
The azure and obsidian essence also vanished into the Wraithbanner in Jihui's grasp, transforming the ethereal Wraithbanner into a genuine divine artifact capable of manifesting within the Origin Realm.
"I require more of the wild, chaotic power from the Abyss."
Clutching the Wraithbanner, now infused with the essence, Jihui's presence underwent a dramatic shift, reminiscent of Lin Daoke wielding a sword forged from his divine authority.
He abruptly looked up towards Yu Yuan in the heavens, his pupils morphing into twin Maws of Oblivion.
Sensing trouble, Yu Yuan instantly shifted himself tens of thousands of miles away.
The void that fell under Jihui's gaze imploded, as if an invincible force obliterated everything in its path, both material and ethereal.
Yu Yuan, attempting to extract the lines using the nascent power of karma from the depths of Jihui's soul, found himself unable to do so.
"Sir, do you know why this is called the Origin Realm?"
"It's not because of Arthurs. Despite his claim as the Origin Deity, his connection to the creation of the Origin Realm is tenuous at best."
"It's due to the Evil Temple, for such a treasure from the Abyss can refine the essence."
"Only with the essence can one materialize within the Origin Realm. With the essence in my possession, I can draw power from the Evil Temple. Therefore..."
"Ugh!"
Jihui's explanation was abruptly cut off.
The Wraithbanner, formed from the essence and once linked to the Evil Temple of the Abyss, had unexpectedly lost its connection.
The spectral Holy Temple, constructed from bones and countless runes, inexplicably crumbled once more, and the three chaotic spirits, along with Kaiya, swiftly regained their clarity of mind.
Conversely, the souls of the Evil Gods experienced a fleeting moment of disorientation, standing bewildered and unsure of what to do next.
"Let's go."
Kaiya called out to Yu Yuan, who was suspended in the void, and she continued to blink at him, signaling urgently.
Yu Yuan paused, taking in the expressions of Jihui and the other Evil Gods. After a brief hesitation, he agreed, "Alright."
Together with the three Gods of Ghosts, Yu Yuan and Kaiya swiftly made their way to the Origin Gate that led to the Wraithlands. Remarkably, there were no pursuers in sight.
With composed ease, they slipped through the gate.
