C1932 Prepare to Fight!
In the Stellar Oblivion, intense gazes, like the brilliant sparkle of stars, were locked onto Yu Yuan.
For the members of Boulderdawn, the dragon slayer who had founded their sect and led the Everlanders in toppling the Naga's dominance was the preeminent figure of their order!
Had it not been for Yu Yuan's lack of the Dragon Slaying Stage on his return, the dynamics of the Everlands might have remained unchanged, with Boulderdawn ruling supreme.
How could the likes of Han Miaoyuan and Dark Phoenix, with their despicable cunning, even hope to compete?
Upon discovering that Yu Yuan was the dragon slayer reborn, the younger Boulderdawn cultivators in this realm felt their dread of the Wasteland's Beast God diminish significantly.
The fervent youth were eager to draw nearer, to catch a clearer glimpse of Yu Yuan's extraordinary presence.
They all yearned to behold the legendary grace of Yu Yuan.
Tianqi, vigilant for the imminent attack of the Wasteland's Beast Gods, saw the stir among the crowd and sternly commanded, "Everyone, hold your positions!"
As a God-King known for his gravity and few words, Tianqi's authority was unquestioned.
The Boulderdawn members, whose excitement had been sparked at the prospect of crossing the land's boundaries to reach Yu Yuan, found their enthusiasm waning under his influence.
"Now is not the time," Tianqi added.
His constant vigilance stemmed from the uncertainty of when the Beast Gods might launch their assault, so his gaze remained fixed on the barrier between the realms, never taking anything lightly.
...
Only when the wave of cheers had finally subsided did Yu Yuan, with a single hand, gently grasp the Dragon Slaying Stage and withdraw from Loong Jie's chest cavity.
The Dragon Slaying Stage, now a luminescent white, shrank and settled into his elixir field.
Yu Yuan cast an unusual glance at those who had been halted mid-air by Tianqi, and to his surprise, Hua Xin was among them.
When Hua Xin caught Yu Yuan's eye, he blushed with excitement, waving vigorously, hoping to capture his attention for a moment longer—as if it were the highest honor.
Jiang Miaojie's eyes sparkled like crystals, and her lips, slightly pursed, were brimming with joy and admiration.
The younger generation and the more seasoned cultivators shared a similar demeanor. Their eyes, however, held a distinct difference when they gazed upon Tianqi and Kaiya.
"I didn't expect that..." Yu Yuan whispered to himself.
With a whoosh, the Starway in the Central Continent, thanks to Zhong Chichen's assistance, connected with the Space-Time Archway in the Ashlands. Taishi was the first to emerge, followed by Taixu, Reid, Cardo, and Ballo. The little spinosaurus and three cosmic giant beasts also made their entrance.
"You... no longer owe anything to our race, the Nagas," Loong Jie said in a voice as faint as a mosquito's to the stunned Yu Yuan.
"Did you feel it?" Yu Yuan inquired.
Loong Jie nodded emphatically. "The Life Keychain has merged with my dragon heart. It originated from you; it's your gift to our race!"
In that moment, Loong Jie believed that all Nagas following him might gain the hope of immortality because of him, provided they could ascend to become Dragon Gods. While delving into the mysteries of the Life Keychain, he sensed an inexplicable, special bloodline connection with Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit.
"It was always meant for you, but the Old Titan Spinosaurus passed away too suddenly," Yu Yuan murmured.
Perched above the Abyssal Gate, the one who had intimidated the Evil God had lately been pondering the Secrets of Life. He had unraveled the bloodline mysteries of numerous cosmic giant beasts and discovered the marvels of the Life Keychain, granting Loong Jie a second chance at life.
The Old Titan Spinosaurus, who had previously been favored by Primal Blood and received the complete life sequence, had already unlocked the Life Keychain. Had the Old Titan not perished, his lifeblood could have established the Nagas within the Everlands, embedding the Life Keychain within the dragon heart, thus granting his descendants eternal life. Alas, the Old Titan Spinosaurus was no more.
"Wasteland."
Upon learning that the Beast God had summoned the world's mightiest to this realm, they first surveyed the desolate silence of Thule.
When they realized that the barrier remained intact and had not immediately shattered, their attention turned to seeking out Yu Yuan's whereabouts.
That's when they noticed Loong Jie.
Loong Jie, still bearing injuries, had turned over after Yu Yuan departed. He sprawled lazily on the ground, his golden dragon scales emitting a vibrant glow of vitality.
Loong Jie appeared to be ingratiating himself with Yu Yuan, eagerly seeking guidance.
"Without a doubt."
The Abyssal Leviathan, having assumed the form of a gaunt old man, materialized beside Loong Jie's neck in a single stride.
This cosmic giant beast, having been graced by a touch of Primal Blood and granted the Secrets of Life, sensed something within the core of Loong Jie's dragon heart that could once again gather life essence.
It was the Life Keychain.
The Life Keychain, akin to a young sapling, intertwined with the bloodline chain within Loong Jie's heart, becoming an integral part of his heart. This allowed Loong Jie to consume immense amounts of vital energy, nurturing the sapling-like Life Keychain, enabling it to store life essence acquired later in life, granting Loong Jie eternal life.
"You've truly accomplished it."
The Abyssal Leviathan gazed at Yu Yuan with a mixture of awe and admiration, remarking, "First Yu Zhu, then the Dire Bear, and now Loong Jie. Your presence continually defies the laws of blood."
"And what of me? When will you assist me?"
The Abyssal Leviathan looked at him with eyes brimming with longing, his face etched with desire. "The Secrets of Life I've mastered are too superficial. I crave deeper knowledge."
"You are an eternal being, a cosmic giant beast. There's no need for such haste."
With a few words of reassurance, Yu Yuan shifted his focus to Taishi and Taixu, feeling a twinge of hesitation.
His concerns lingered.
Guided by the astute Jihui, he had journeyed through the Abyss as a Lunar Spirit and witnessed the plight of the humans on the seventh layer.
He now understood that the humans of the Everlands were born from the secrets of the Abyss.
Yet, what tidal wave of consequences would ensue if this information were to be revealed?
The Starmoon Sect, Skyreach Consortium, Forgeroses, and even the core human disciples within Boulderdawn, all previously aligned with the Divine Soul Sect, faced an uncertain future.
They were able to come to terms with the reality that the Primal Soul, deeply rooted in the heart of the Everlands, was being eroded by the bizarre entities of the Abyss. Yet, in their hearts, they felt an intrinsic connection to the Primal Soul. As intelligent lifeforms native to the Everlands, they took great pride in their origins. When the day came that they recognized their affinity with the Abyss, how would they choose? How many could remain as steadfast to their core as they were?
At this moment, all the humans of the Everlands were heeding Han Miaoyuan's summons, boarding the Voidfarer warships and setting sail for the stars. Was this not a grand infiltration by the creatures of the Abyss? Yu Yuan's mood grew somber.
"What's the current situation?" High Priest Reid approached Kaiya, asking with a warm smile, "What do you know?"
"The Beast Gods should be arriving soon," Kaiya replied, engaging in conversation.
Suddenly, the Starway, which had brought these peak figures here, surged with space magic once again.
"Those below the Unbound realm, take this ferry to the Ashlands!" After a brief pause, Tianqi, who had not seen the black goat reappear, commanded in a thunderous voice, "The Stellar Oblivion is set to become the battleground between two realms. Those of lesser cultivation will be easily torn asunder by the Beast Gods of the Wasteland, so spare us the chaos."
Tianqi's imposing figure towered at the Starway, gesturing to the people on the other continents. The individuals he pointed to, along with the Otherkin practitioners of arcane arts, complied without hesitation. Those drawing near to the Starway cast reverent and fervent glances back at Yu Yuan.
"It looks like your identity isn't a secret anymore," Taishi said with an easy smile, nodding in acknowledgment. "By now, who among the strong doesn't recognize you?"
"Taixu mentioned that this was the domain you chose initially. As per tradition, a God-King may forge a piece of land here. Would you like me to select one for you?" With each new God-King's birth, an additional Starshard was added to the headquarters beyond our world.
With Taishi's guidance, a palace would soon rise, destined to become Yu Yuan's exclusive residence.
"Let's address the Beast Gods situation first."
Kaiya and Reid approached together, her expression turning grave as her pupils flickered with demonic light. "A group of Beast Gods has already arrived, surprisingly from an opposite direction, not from the area we've been vigilantly defending."
