C1933 Let's See What We Can Do Together!!

On the distant fringe of the starry expanse, a frog clutching the sun in its maw, an Iron-winged Bird, and a golden deer stood as towering stone statues of the Beast Gods from the Otherworld—now shattered into rubble. The archdemons and alien beasts caught in the onslaught had been reduced to mere skeletons. The loyal minions of the Dark Phoenix and the archdemons from the Everlands were stripped of all flesh and sinew.

Bones of colossal beasts lay strewn about, the scene one of unspeakable desolation and brutality. The dried blood of the alien beasts and archdemons was meticulously scraped from the earth, along with the stones, by keen blades. Even the phoenix statue, symbolizing the Dark Phoenix's exalted status, was desecrated—its expansive wings broken, its head ignominiously placed upside down.

Nearly a thousand archdemons and alien beasts that once served as sentinels were now nothing but skeletal remains, picked clean of viscera and muscle. The world around them painted a picture akin to a blood-drenched hell, where once vibrant creatures met their end in agony, seemingly torn apart by vicious claws.

A wisp of dark fire, like a sinister purple lantern, emerged from the hollow eye socket of a golden-armored beast. This was one of Kaiya's "eyes." Through this "eye," Yu Yuan, Taishi, and other formidable figures from various realms witnessed the gruesome tableau unfold within the Stellar Oblivion. Kaiya's gaze upon the polished rock face of Tianqi's palace projected the horrific scene for all to see.

"They're all dead," someone murmured.

"And completely devoured," another added grimly.

Those who watched the spectacle on the wall, including those who had once emerged in the Dark Star Domain and followed the Dark Phoenix, felt a heavy sense of foreboding. The fallen might have been the Dark Phoenix's forces, but the manner of their deaths was too dreadful to contemplate.

Many from the sects, who had heeded Tianqi's call to queue at the Starway for passage to the Ashlands, now witnessed the carnage. A chill ran through the crowd. They pondered whether Boulderdawn's stronghold, a critical gateway against the Wasteland's incursions, might face a similar fate. Could the slaughter witnessed at the far end of the cosmos unfold here in the Stellar Oblivion? When might the Beast Gods launch their full-scale invasion?

With these thoughts, those in line to depart grew anxious for their peers who had attained the Unbound state, steadfast in their duty to remain.

"Kaiya!"

Amidst the silence, the Abyssal Greater Basilisk that had not been following let out a sudden shout.

The beast, transformed into an elder of the Silverscale Tribe, was visibly distressed. "Is this region adjacent to Aihoyari?"

"Yes."

Kaiya quickly realized and responded without hesitation, "Aihoyari was once the domain of the Silverscale Tribe, but wasn't it abandoned due to the ever-diminishing cosmic energy?"

Lizard's face darkened. "I have... what you might call a hybrid offspring, settled in Aihoyari. The thinning cosmic energy and the so-called abandonment by the Silverscale Tribe were just false rumors I deliberately spread!"

"How did you manage to have a child while you were in hiding across the extraterrestrial realms? Lizard, wasn't your race of giant beasts extinct? Without a female Starborne Lizard, how could you reproduce?" inquired the Abyssal Leviathan with a hint of wonder.

"That's precisely because it's a hybrid!"

Lizard clenched his teeth and let out a deep growl, "Only the Abyssal Winged Lizard, an alien beast, could barely endure my lineage! In the absence of another giant beast partner, I had no choice but to turn to the Abyssal Winged Lizard!"

Roar!

The Abyssal Greater Basilisk, having arrived from the Ashlands, suddenly sensed something and began to roar heart-wrenchingly.

The roar was laden with sorrow and boundless rage!

"My hybrid offspring!"

The Abyssal Winged Lizard he had concealed in Aihoyari shared a bloodline connection with him. Lizard clutched his chest with one hand and bellowed in anguish.

Yu Yuan needed only a glance to sense that several bloodline chains in Lizard's giant beast heart had abruptly gone dark.

He sensed the extinguishing of life.

Those bloodline chains weren't carriers of the Abyssal Greater Basilisk's innate talents; they existed solely for him to feel his progeny's presence.

Should his hybrid descendants face calamity, the crystal chains would vanish.

He had painstakingly left behind just a few hybrid descendants, fearing they might become targets, which is why he had brought them to Aihoyari.

They were his precious treasures!

Yet, due to the Beast God of the Wasteland opting to first enter from the Dark Phoenix's lands, the Lizard was filled with an irreparable regret.

"They must die!"

The elder Lizard, who had resolutely journeyed to the Stellar Oblivion to preserve his lineage, suddenly lost control.

"Blood!"

He wrenched the last fading bloodline chain from his heart, laying it before him like a luminescent river of light.

Boom!

The stuff of legends, the Abyssal Greater Basilisk, revealed its massive form. Its dark brown hide, wrinkled like ancient leather, was laced with intricate space rifts.

Known originally as the Starborne Lizard, the elder Lizard was versed in the art of space magic.

The bloodline chain, transformed into a radiant river, slowly conjured a vague image.

A divine eagle, standing upright like a human, gripped a thousand-meter-long Abyssal Winged Lizard in its talons.

The sea was awash with murky, bloodied waters.

The eagle's gray wings shrouded half the Star River, its talons like iron anchors effortlessly pinning the head of the Abyssal Winged Lizard, while the other claw tore at its flesh.

The final Abyssal Winged Lizard emitted a chilling, mournful scream, beseeching the elder Lizard for aid through its bloodline.

"Father, where are you?"

"Save me, please save me!"

The calls, broken and desperate, were tinged with fear and immense suffering.

Nearly a kilometer in length, the creature was reduced to little more than a large worm under the eagle's relentless grip.

It was ripped apart, savored bite by bite by the eagle-eyed Beast God from the Otherworld.

Puff!

Beneath the elder Lizard's skin, murky blood surfaced. A brute force, capable of cleaving the void, whisked the Lizard away in a spray of blood.

From the sky, a sparse, muddy rain began to fall.

"Though he bears the name Starborne Lizard, he is neither Zhong Chichen nor a Voidweaver. To traverse such an immense cosmic distance, he must pay a steep price."

The Abyssal Leviathan glanced at Yu Yuan, his expression tinged with a bitter resignation, as if he had come to a difficult conclusion.

He turned to Kaiya and, with resolute urgency, declared, "Please, find a way to transport me to Aihoyari. I'm unsure of the precise location, and I don't know if there's a Starway there. But since you have left your devil soul at the edge of that galaxy, surely you have a means, right?"

"If there were a Starway in Aihoyari, he wouldn't have to do this," Zhong Chichen interjected.

Standing at the central Starway, he gestured towards it and said, "I'm still here. If Aihoyari had a Starway, he could have used it to travel there much faster."

"He wouldn't have had to shed blood and injure himself before even arriving."

Upon hearing this, the Abyssal Leviathan's spirits sank.

"You..." Yu Yuan squinted his eyes, "You've only noticed the Hawk God, but did you consider that there might be more Beast Gods lurking in the depths of Aihoyari?"

"There are definitely more than one or two!"

Even the Abyssal Greater Basilisk, from such a vast distance, could only sense a very small part of space.

Moreover, the Hawk God's wings seemed to deliberately obscure the stars.

The Hawk God appeared quite at ease while tearing apart the Abyssal Winged Lizard, as if it was waiting for something.

The likelihood of it being a trap was incredibly high!

"What of it?" the Abyssal Leviathan retorted. "Yu Yuan, if Ms. Ji or the Secular Bird Queen were the ones heading to Aihoyari, knowing it's a trap, would you not go?"

Ji Ningshuang, with her typically impassive demeanor, felt a chill in her eyes at the mention of the Secular Bird Queen, but she remained silent for the moment.

"You, along with that old Lizard, would be walking into certain death if you blindly stormed into Aihoyari," Yu Yuan said as he approached and clapped him on the shoulder. "Let's face it together."
